[résolu] synaptic ne propose pas les paquets les plus récents

Salut!

Je suis en ce moment sous hardy, mais j'ai pas mal de problèmes de logiciels impossibles à installer à cause de problèmes de dépendances. Il m'est également impossible de passer à une version supérieure d'ubuntu pour les mêmes raisons.
Le plus souvent, ce n'est pas un problème d'absence de paquet, mais plutôt de version qui n'est pas la bonne. Le problème, c'est que lorsque je recherche les paquets en question, je vois qu'en effet ce n'est pas la version demandée, mais synaptic me dit que la version que j'ai est la version la plus récente, ce qui n'est vraisemblablement pas le cas...
Quelqu'un pourrait me dire d'où vient le problème? Ca devient vraiment handicapant, je ne peux plus installer aucun logiciel, ni faire d'update...

Bonjour, déjà as-tu passé par les commandes:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

colle le résultat sur le forum.

ainsi que ton sources.list

gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Chaque version a des version de logiciel qui sont figées. Les seules mises à jour que tu as sont des mises à jour de sécurité et des corrections de bugs. Il n'est cependant pas normal que tu ne puisse pas installer d'applications sans soucis.

Synaptic indique que c'est la version la plus récente disponible dans les dépôts de Hardy. Donc il ne se trompe pas. C'est normal.

Tant que des dépôts non officiels ne sont pas utilisés et que des paquets DEB ne sont pas installés, le Synaptic s'occupe des dépendances, et ne les cassent (presque) jamais. Donc le mieux serait de supprimer ces programmes installés manuellement et déactiver les dépôts tiers afin que Synaptic fasse de lui-même le ménage.

remplace par celui là, j'ai mis tous les dépots (backports et proposed)

gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

et remplace la totalité du fichier par celui que j'ai mis.

Moi je veux bien désinstaller certains trucs, mais je ne sais pas par où commencer...
Un exemple concret: si je veux installer Gimp, le truc tout con, ça me dit:

gimp: Dépend: libgimp2.0 (>= 2.4.6) mais 2.4.0~rc3-1ubuntu7 devra être installé
        Dépend: libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.20.5) mais 1.20.1-1 devra être installé

et dans synaptic quand je cherche libpango, je trouve que la version installée est 1.20.1-1 et que c'est bien la dernière version

Oui mais c'est normal, comme tu as un problème de mise à jour des dépots , il cherche que des anciennes versions de programme, il faut que la mise à jour soit faire pour ne plus avoir de problème.

jai remplacé et j'ai fait un apt-get update
voilà ce que j'obtiens (après toute la liste etc.)

E: Le téléchargement de quelques fichiers d'index a échoué, ils ont été ignorés, ou les anciens ont été utilisés à la place.
