Dell inspiron 1010 et GPS
Bonjour,
je suis l'heureux propriétaire d'un nouveau Dell Inspiron mini 1010. Cette petite machine intègre un truc pour la localisation GPS.
Sous winchose j'ai un utilitaire pour activer la localisation, mais qu'en est-il sous ubuntu-linux ?
J'ai bien cherché dans la doc et sur le forum, mais tout ce que je trouve est des applications pour relier
un GPS à l'ordinateur...
Quelqu'un peut m'aider ?

Sous Windows, l'utilitaire ne donne pas d'information sur le type de périphérique ?
Tu peux sous Linux, consulter ce que donne la commande :
dmesgIl y a de forte chance que se soit un dongle usb, donc regarde aussi ce que donne la commande :

Salutations,
il s'agit d'une puce Broadcom BCM4750 A1 qui gère la carte GPS sur le dell mini 1010. Si c'est une option, je peux confirmer que je l'ai belle et bien sur ma machine. Il semble utiliser la même technologie que dans le iPhone pour le positionnement (skyhook wireless et Broadcom).

Effectivement, le mot extension est mal choisi, j'étais encore dans la pensée d'un module externe.
Mais le problème c'est qu'il n'y a pas de trace du BCM4750 A1 sous Linux.
Donc pour moi, le GPS n'est pas détecté.
