Appel audio avec pidgin...
Quelqu'un a réussi à faire des appels audio (vidéo) avec Pidgin (version 2.6.2) sous karmic ?? chez moi les options appel audio, appel vidéo sont grisées et non actives.

malgrè l'installation de "cheese" (on ne sait jamais), ça ne marche tjrs pas.
D'ailleur "Empathy" ne propose pas non plus de liaison audio ou vidéo...

D'ailleur "Empathy" ne propose pas non plus de liaison audio ou vidéo..
Empathy propose, ainsi que pidgin, mais si ton contact ne dispose pas de camera/micro, et pas d'un client compatible les options apparaissent grisés. Et pour le moment ca ne fonctionne qu'avec les contacts Jabber et Gtalk. Msn ce sera pour la version suivante.

Ca fait quand même "un certain temps" qu'on nous promet le son et la video avec MSN pour la version suivante . Ce qui me pose un plus grand souci (tout est relatif) c'est que la version de Skype pour Ubuntu 8.04+ n'a pas l'air de fonctionner non plus : j'entends mon correspondant mais lui ne m'entend pas sur son téléphone avec skype out .

En fait peut être que ca sera pour Karmic, ils veulent faire passer une exception pour intégrer la fonctionnalité dans Karmic. Mais a priori ca fonctionne pas super encore.

Je sais que je vais encore me faire traiter de tous les noms d'oiseaux mais mon avis est que ce vieux XP est encore bien utile après 8 ans de service (plus encore 4 ans et demi de mises à jour de sécurité) . C'est pourquoi je lui garde une place sur un ordinateur d'occasion et honni soit qui mal y pense comme disent les britanniques .

@pesage: chez moi Skype ne fonctionne pas avec la version 8.10+ du site Skype, mais aucun soucis avec la version de Medibuntu.
@seb24: as-tu teste/ la visioconf avec Pidgin et/ou Empathy?

J'ai testé sous Empathy/Jabber ça fonctionne bien, sous msn j'attends qu'ils intégrent officiellement la fonctionnalité pour tester. Mais d'après ce que j'ai lu il peu y avoir quelques bug assez genant. Donc dans tout les cas il faudra attendre la LTS pour avoir la visio sous MSN qui fonctionne bien.

Idem chez moi avec la version 9.04 (j'ai fait l'impasse sur la version 9.10) : j'espère qu'empathy permettra un contact audio et video avec messenger avec la version I0.04 et tout sera parfait enfin

La priorité, et c'est celle qu'ils se sont fixés apparemment, ca me parait quand meme etre de gerer la webcam sur le protocole ouvert... donc xmpp/jabber...
Pour les protocoles fermés ca peut attendre

Si tu veux la derniere version, essaye le PPA: http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/pidgin#installation_de_la_derniere_version_par_le_ppa
Edit: le PPA installe actuellement la version 2.6.1
