Xfce et Gnome Global Menu Applet

Bonjour à tous !

J'ai bien envie de re-basculer une de mes machines vers XFCE, mais je tiens à utiliser le menu global unique style Mac  (c'est une applette Gnome, nomée Gnome Global Menu) ;
j'aimerais savoir si quelqu'un parmi-vous a réussi à l'activer sous XFCE ? J'avais compris sur des forums voici quelques moi que c'était théoriquement possible ...

Je ne l'ai pas testé, mais ça doit être possible en effet, avec le xfapplet-panel-plugin qui permet d'utiliser les applets Gnome.

d'abord, merci pour la réponse rapide wink
mais ce n'est pas le menu principal de Gnome que je souhaite installer (au contraire, celui d'XFCE est bien) ; juste l'applette qui "déporte" le menu des applications Gtk en haut de l'écran, comme sur un Mac, un Amiga ...:)

Ton PPA est pour Ubuntu Karmic. Pourquoi ne pas utiliser le PPA Globalmenu Team ?

en fait, je viens de trouver comment faire fonctionner le bouzin sous Hardy big_smile:D
- installer le deb Gnome Global Menu issu du PPA, destiné à la bonne version d'Ubuntu (dans mon cas : Hardy)
- installer le plugin XFCE "xfapplet-plugin" oermettant de charger les applettes Gnomes
- installer xfapplet-plugin sur la barre supérieure XFCE, et s'en servir pour ajouter "Gnome Global Menu Applet" >> à ce stade, le titre de l'application Gtk en cours est déjà déplacé dans la barre supérieure, mais reste à déplacer les menus.
- pour ce faire, créer le fichier xinitrc qui va bien comme expliqué ici : http://code.google.com/p/gnome2-globalmenu/wiki/FAQ
- relancer Xfce, et ... youpi !!!!

Reste un "petit" défaut que vous voyez sur la copie suivante : XFCE semble interdire l'extension de l'Applet, ce qui fait que les menus apparaissent en "cascade" ;

Je suis nouvel utilisateur de Xcfe mais cet applet "Gnome Global Menu" me semble installé nativement dans Xubuntu 9.04. Mais je ne sais pas quelle distribution tu utilises... En fait, j'étais en train de chercher un moyen de le virer car j'ai déjà rajouté l'applet qui liste les fenêtres dans la barre des tâches... tongue

J'ai l'impression que tu te trompes de truc, parce qu'à ma connaissance, il n'y a pas de Globalmenu installé par défaut sur aucune version de X/Ubuntu.

Ceux qui préféreraient installer la dernière version (0.7.7_1) non présente sur le PPA, il suffit de télécharger les sources ici, d'extraire l'archive, de le configurer et l'installer comme suit :

Configuration :

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --libexecdir=/usr/lib --without-gnome-panel --with-xfce4-panel --disable-schemas-install

Compilation :

make

Installation avec checkinstall :

sudo checkinstall --pkgversion=0.7.7.1

Il faut ensuite créer le fichier xinitrc dans ~/.config/xfce4/ l'éditer et y ajouter :

#!/bin/sh

export GTK_MODULES=globalmenu-gnome
. /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc

Ensuite, clic droit votre panneau --> "Ajouter des éléments" --> "Greffon Menu Global pour le tableau de bord de Xfce" et redémarrez votre session.

merci pour ton coup de main ! wink mais ça bloque depuis des heures sur cette erreur :

config.status: error: cannot find input file: po/Makefile.in.in

J'ai testé le contournement suivant :

intltoolize --force --copy

et ça ne marche pas ... hmm

tar jxvf gnome-globalmenu-0.7.7_1.tar.bz2

Ok ; c'est un bug du navigateur Chromium, qui charge mal ce type de fichier ; téléchargement OK avec Firefox, extraction sans problème ...

Oui, il suffit d'enlever "--without-gnome-panel" à la configuration, mais tu auras besoin d'installer quelques paquets de développement GNOME.

C'est pratique pour créer et conserver un paquet sans se prendre la tête et ça permet de le désinstaller facilement avec un gestionnaire de paquet (apt, aptitude, synaptic) sans conserver les sources de l'application pour faire un "make uninstall", mais ça ne crée pas un paquet propre à être diffusé.

par contre (encore) j'ai bien tous les fichiers de développement d'XFCE, mais la compilation échoue sur 

undefined reference to `gtk_show_uri'

pourtant, j'ai déjà manipulé les outils URi de GTk, en programmation sur les machines ?

Je m'excuse par avance pour les accents manquant car je suis sur clavier Qwerty.

Je deterre donc ce sujet pour proposer une solution trouvee sur : Omgubuntu_Globalmenu_Xfce.

La solution consite en 2 commandes :
On ajoute le ppa :

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:the-warl0ck-1989/xfce-appmenu-plugin

On met a jour la liste et on install l'applet :

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install xfce4-appmenu-plugin indicator-appmenu appmenu-gtk appmenu-qt

Désolée pour le déterrage, mais je voulais savoir si cette dernière solution fonctionne avec Xubuntu 12.4 ? A la deuxième ligne de commande j'obtiens (au milieu de beaucoup d'autres lignes) :

Et du coup impossible de trouver le greffon dans les paramètres du tableau de bord...

Apparemment le ppa a une version pour Precise si on en croit le launchpad cependant je ne peux pas te certifier que ca marche etant donne que je n'ai plus Xubuntu chez moi neutral

Je pense qu'il faudrait regarder dans un premier temps dans /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ , reperer le fichier correspondant au ppa et verifier que tu as bien ces deux lignes :

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/the-warl0ck-1989/xfce-appmenu-plugin/ubuntu precise main 
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/the-warl0ck-1989/xfce-appmenu-plugin/ubuntu precise main

As-tu fais des mises a niveau ? parce que je vois "karmic" dans ton message.

J'aurais deux questions a te poser :

1 - Qu'est ce que tu appelles une installation propre parce qu'aux dernieres nouvelles avec le cd Ubuntu on te propose maintenant de Upgrader la version (ou downgrader), d'effacer l'installation precedente et de faire une nouvelle install ou une configuration manuelle qui permet de choisir soit meme ses partitions et permet de preserver la/les partition(s) que l'on veut. Laquelle de ces options as-tu choisis ?

2 - Avez-tu ce probleme avant d'installer le ppa de Gnome Global menu ?

Dans tous les cas, je pense qu'il faut nettoyer le sources.list parce que le tien a du Precise, Karmic et Gutsy en meme temps , les depots de Gutsy font references a un ppa, peut etre un ppa qui n'est pas a jour ou ne gere plus la version actuelle !?!?
Pour les references de Karmic, ca "a l'air" d'etre un depot officiel mais je ne vois pas tres bien comment il a pu arriver la si tu as fait une installation propre ?!?!

En tous cas je te mets le sources.list de mon Voyager 12.04 sur ma VirtualBox qui a l'air de bien fonctionner, au pire tu peux toujours faire un copier coller dans ton sources.list :

1 - J'ai installer Voyager en écrasant les installations précédentes

2 - Je n'ai pas fait attention à mes sources de mises à jours avant ce problème donc je ne peux pas te répondre. Après j'ai du pas mal bidouiller pour installer mon wifi donc c'est peut être possible que je les ai mis à ce moment là ?

Par contre je ne comprend pas bien ce que c'est que ces fichiers source.list et source.list.d , est-ce que c'est différent de la liste des dépôts de Synaptic ? J'aimerais bien suivre ta solution mais j'aimerais être sûre que ça ne risque pas de foutre en l'air d'autre choses que j'ai pu faire sur mon pc (paramétrer le wifi par exemple ?). Et je n'ai aucune idée de ce que j'utilise ou pas  hmm Désolée pour ces questions sans doute naïves !
