Incompatibilite de packages
Bonsoir,
j'aimerais installer deux packages : libmotif-dev et cernlib (pour utiliser geant4) sur intrepid.
J'ai commence par installer cernlib : sans probleme particulier.
Lorsque je cherche a installer libmotif-dev (via synaptic), il apparait des incompatibilites avec cernlib.
cernlib will be removed
cernlib-core-dev will be removed
geant321 will be removed
lesstif2-dev will be removed
libgeant321-2-dev will be removed
libpacklib-lesstif1-dev will be removed
libpawlib-lesstif3-dev will be removed
libmotif-dev (version 2.2.3-2) will be installed
Comment puis-je m'y prendre pour utiliser les deux packages ?
Est-il possible d'installer l'un d'eux manuellement pour outre-passer le conflit ?

Essaie d'installer libmotif avec
sudo dpkg -i libmotif*deb
Ça nous permettra déjà de voir exactement où est le conflit.

Voici le retour d'experience :
$ sudo dpkg -i libmotif*deb
dpkg: regarding libmotif-dev_2.2.3-4_i386.deb containing libmotif-dev:
libmotif-dev conflicts with lesstif2-dev
lesstif2-dev (version 1:0.95.0-2.1ubuntu1) is present and installed.
dpkg: error processing libmotif-dev_2.2.3-4_i386.deb (--install):
conflicting packages - not installing libmotif-dev
Errors were encountered while processing:
libmotif-dev_2.2.3-4_i386.deb

Ouaip, donc libmotif est en conflit avec lesstif, pas vraiment étonnant puisque ce sont deux implémentations du même langagee, il me semble. Pas grand-chose à faire, s'ils sont en conflit, c'est pas pour rien.
