Réseau sans fil désactivé: impossible de se connecter
Bonjour à la communauté Ubuntu!
Je suis un petit nouveau dans cet univers et j'avoue ne pas y connaitre grand chose...
J'ai donc installé le tout dernier Ubuntu 10.04 et mis à part le Wifi, tout fonctionne à merveille et je suis ravi d'utiliser cet OS.
Lorsque je souhaite me connecter à un réseau Wifi, Network Manager affiche, grisé, "Réseau sans fil désactivé" alors que le voyant lumineux de mon ordinateur portable est allumé. J'ai regardé partout, sur tous les forums, fait des manips dont je n'ai plus aucune idée... mais rien à faire, je suis revenu au cable...
Mon ordinateur est un portable Dell Studio 15, Intel Core 2 Duo, la carte wifi est une Boardcom, j'ai installé le pilote Boardcom STA.

Je viens de tester, et ça me donne ceci:

Que vais-je donc pouvoir faire à présent? Car pour moi, c'est plus que du chinois tout ça... Je ne vois pas ce que je peux faire de ces résultats.

Quelqu'un pourrait-il me renseigner/filer un coup de main s'il vous plait?
J'ai fouillé l'internet de fond en comble, et je n'ai encore pas trouvé de réponse.
Il semblerait également que je ne sois pas le seul à avoir ce probleme.

quel est le réseau wifi auquel tu voudrais te raccorder ??
As-tu exploité la doc http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/wifi_broadcom_bcm43xx ?

Bonjour, je me permet de relancer le sujet car j'ai le même problème et j'ai essaye pleins de chose mais ça fonctionne pas il reste désactivé j'ai déjà essayé de réinstaller les pilotes. Ce qui est bizarre c'est que ça fonctionnait cet après midi et après plus réseau désactivé et plus possible de réactivé
je viens d'appliquer ceci : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=377104 mais je ne peux plus installer mon pilote de ma carte.

Salut,
d'après les réponses à tes commandes, le wifi n'est pas sur wlan0, comme très souvent, mais sur eth1. Tu devrais faire le remplacement dans /etc/network/interfaces avec
auto eth1
#Local DHCP wireless
iface eth1 inet dhcp
wireless-key xxxxxxxx
wireless-essid xxxx
Après modification dans /etc/network/interfaces, n'oublie pas de relancer la connexion:
- soit par sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
- soit par sudo dhclient
Pour ifconfig, tu as intérêt à préciser ifconfig eth1 pour avoir la réponse correspondant au wifi.

J'ai eu le même soucis pendant un temps, dés que j'avais la gestion réseau désactivé, je fessai ceci :
sudo rm /var/lib/networkmanager/networkmanager.state
Voila peut etre que ça fonctionnera pour vous

Un truc tout béte.
Quand mon pc est passé par la veille est qu'il s'est éteint faute de batterie au redemarage je ne peux me connecter au wifi car "Réseau sans fil désactivé".
Il me suffit de passer une fois par la veille et d'en ressortir pour que tout entre dans l'ordre.
Essaye ca coute rien => mettre en veille / en ressortir.
Au plus profond de Linux se trouve l'esprit de la programmation libre, offerte à tous, en constant développement pour le bonheur de tous, loin des considérations bassement matérielles.

J'ai exactement le même problème. J'ai un Dell Studio 17 avec une jolie carte Wi-Fi Broadcom 4312 rev01.
Je suis aussi, comme beaucoup d'utilisateurs d'Ubuntu, un débutant de Linux. Je fuis progressivement Windows pour m'installer dans le monde du libre. J'ai donc, pour l'instant, Windows et Ubuntu en dual boot, c'est la raison pour laquelle j'ai la chance d'avoir Internet (parce qu'avec Ubuntu, c'est pas gagné).
Cela fait 6 mois environ que j'essaie de faire marcher le Wi-Fi sur Ubuntu, sans succès. J'ai essayé le document concernant les BCM43XX, (d'ailleurs perso, la solution sur Lucid Lynx concernant l'installation du pilote par le biais de "pilotes et périphériques" ne fonctionne pas chez moi, j'ai dû utiliser la technique de Karmic en passant par les paquets Debian, en les installant manuellement).
Par cette technique, j'ai réussi à avoir Internet en passant par ma carte Wi-Fi pendant.... 15minutes. Après l'installation des mises à jour, des pilotes de ma carte ATI et d'un logiciel nommé aTunes (que je conseille), après redémarrage plus rien : "réseau sans fil désactivé". Que du bonheur.
J'ai donc essayé la doc Ubuntu, j'ai tenté la technique de la mise en veille, et aussi celle de la suppression complète des paquets via Synaptic puis leur réinstallation, rien n'y fait. J'ai essayé de désinstaller/réinstaller Ubuntu en recommençant du début, la musique est toujours la même : ça fonctionne les 5-6 premiers démarrages, autrement dit au moment où Ubuntu devient réellement opérationnel, puis plus rien.
La seule technique que je n'ai pas utilisé est celle de sinbad83, car mon terminal me renvoit les mêmes infos que jeremy0808. Seulement, je n'arrive pas à avoir accès au fichier texte ("interface"), je n'ai pas les permissions pour le modifier. Comment faire pour les avoir ?
J'espère qu'on trouvera une solution définitive, parce que je ne supporte plus Windaube. ça déconne, ça plante, des messages d'erreurs à tout va... Grrr

Pour éditer ton fichier interfaces, il faut être super-utilisateur. Tu utilises soit Gedit (interface graphique)
gksudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces
soit nano (ligne de commandes)
sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces
Le contenu normal du fichier doit se limiter à deux lignes:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
Ethernet et le Wifi doivent fonctionner tous seuls sans paramétrage particulier, sauf à passer par Système/Préférences/Connexion-réseau. Si tu as besoin d'investiguer davantage le Wifi, il faut dérouler la check-list et tu nous envoie tous les retours des commandes une à une:
- iwconfig
- cat /etc/network/interfaces
- iwliist scan
- sudo ifdown -a && sudo ifup -a
- nm-tool
- sudo dhclient
- ifconfig -a
- lspci | grep -i net
- sudo lshw -C network
- cat /etc/modules
- lsmod
- dmesg

bon j'ai remis ubuntu et fais les mise a jour, installer les pilotes mais ça ne fonctionne toujours pas la ligne est toujours grisé. et après les mise a jour quand je démarre mon pc jai deux fois ubuntu linux bla et bla et a la fin de la version une fois sa fini par 25 et l'autre par 24 et chacun d'entre eux est doublé avec le mode generique. je sais pas si ça a une influence.

Bonjour sitting_nem et merci beaucoup pour ton aide !
J'ai aussi un Dell Inspiron (1521) mais il est nettement moins capricieux que mon Studio 17, bizarrement... Le Wi-Fi fonctionne sans modifications préalables sur celui-ci.
En revanche, le second lien sur lequel tu proposes de virer network manager pour mettre wicd à la place m'a permis de faire refonctionner mon Wi-Fi !
Petites infos complémentaires pour ceux qui ont le même problème et qui tourne sous Lucid Lynx 10.04 :
- Allez sur le site suivant http://wicd.sourceforge.net/download.php
- Dans un terminal, vérifiez en tapant - cat /etc/network/interfaces que les lignes suivantes apparaissent :
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
- Ensuite, téléchargez le paquet situé sur la page web marquée comme "Ubuntu's Universe repository"
- Puis, sur Ubuntu, virez network manager via Synaptic (n'oubliez pas de paquets ! tout paquet parlant de network manager doivent être supprimés), puis installez WICD.
- Ensuite, ce logiciel apparaitra dans "Applications=>Internet", vous le lancez et normalement vos réseaux réapparaîtront ! Tout du moins, c'est ce qui s'est passé chez moi....

Heu.... Petit edit.... Le problème n'est pas réglé en réalité, et je crois que mon Wi-Fi est très instable. Tout a fonctionné jusqu'au moment où j'ai voulu installer des paquets linux-modules-backports parce que j'ai des problèmes d'audio lorsque je mets mes écouteurs, et là plus rien.... Retour à la case départ.
A noter tout de même, j'ai remarqué que WICD me disait bien qu'il reconnaissait la carte Wi-Fi en eth0.... Etrange non ?

R26V8RS26, avec les versions récentes d'ubuntu, je n'utilise plus WICD.
Je conserve Network Manager.
Quelle est ta version d'ubuntu ?
