vista ne demarre plus en dual boot avc ubuntu

Bonjour,

Je me suis lancé dans ubuntu aujourd'hui en l'installant en dual boot avec vista. Ubuntu fonctionne bien , pas de problème pour acceder à mes fichiers vista mais par contre Vista ne veut plus se lancer.

Au demarrage sur GNU GRUB v1.98 j'ai le choix entre ubuntu et "windows recovery environnment (loader) (on/dev/sda2".
Quand je choisi windows... il me propose ensuite de faire une reparation ou de lancer vista normalement. Vista normal ne marche pas, le pc reboot automatiquement et je retourne sur Grub. Et l'outil de reparation se lance masi ça ne marche pas.

J'ai vraiment besoin de me servir aussi de vista merci de m'aider!

As-tu vérifié ton /boot/grub/menu.lst ?

Sinon envoie-le ici ça aidera peut-être quelqu'un à démêler ton pb

LLynx, tu es en retard dans les nouvelles: le fichier menu.lst n'existe plus dans Grub2 (grub-pc), qui est installé avec Ubuntu depuis Karmic 9.10. roll

En attendant que les «experts» du forum prennent connaissance de ton message, tu pourrais tenter la manip suivante:

* Ouvre un terminal
* colles-y la commande suivante: 

sudo update-grub

Ton mot de passe te sera demandé, et aucune frappe ne sera affichée pendant que tu le saisis, c'est normal; tu appuies sur la touche Entrée pour confirmer le mot de passe.

Ensuite, dans la fenêtre du terminal, si ça fonctionne, la commande devrait détecter une seconde entrée pour Vista.

Ok merci pour vos réponses, je test ça et post les résulats dès que je recupere mon pc...

Il a planté et ne s'allume plus (rien à voir avec ubuntu) je le renvoie pour la 2ème fois au SAV...

J'ai le même problème que le créateur de ce topic.
J'ai installé Ubuntu en dual boot, avec vista OEM (et je n'ai jamais gravé les CD de récupération... hmm )
Depuis, dans le grub, j'ai le choix entre 4 (!) ubuntu et 2 vista (le loader normal et le recovery)

Et lorsque je cliques sur le loader normal de vista, une fenetre noire arrive avec un tiret _ en haut à gauche de l'écran.

J'ai fait la manip que demande de faire Malbo et voici le résultat:

Quand tu auras réparé ce démarrage de Vista, je te dirai comment faire pour rétablir le dual-boot correct.

Remarque : la partition à réparer en priorité est la partition sda2 (celle qui contient Vista) et quand tu l'auras réparée, ton PC devrait démarrer direct sur Vista. Par contre, comme je l'ai indiqué, ta partition sda1 est à réparer également puisque Grub s'y est installé. J'espère que tu pourras réparer aussi cette partition sinon tu n'y auras plus accès ce qui serait très fâcheux à mon avis parce que je pense que sans cette partition cachée, tu serais dans l'impossibilité de faire ce que tu aurais dû faire depuis longtemps : graver tes DVD Recovery (DVD de restauration du PC en configuration "usine")

Autre chose à te signaler tant que j'y suis : cette anomalie de Grub :

Quand tu auras tout réparé, y compris le rétablissement du dual-boot Ubuntu / Vista, il restera cette anomalie à savoir que pour démarrer normalement ta partition Vista, il faudra que tu choisisses la ligne suivante dans le menu Grub :
Windows Recovery Environment (loader) (on /dev/sda2)
Explication : Grub a un bug qui fait qu'il se trompe entre la partition Vista et la partition Vista Recovery. Oui, c'est pas drôle. Étant entendu que si ton PC possède un "Boot Menu" (accessible par une touche au démarrage du PC, genre touche F12), quand tu voudras démarrer sur Vista, tu choisiras de démarrer avec le Boot menu sur le disque qui contient Vista et tu ne passeras pas par Grub (tu démarreras direct sur Vista). Donc cette anomalie ne devrait pas te gêner.

Actuellement, je ne peux ni télécharger ni graver de CD, donc je verrai ça ce we.

Voilà j'ai trouver votre forum en cherchant sur google car j'ai un soucis depuis que j'ai installer Ubuntu, c'est que moi aussi Vista ne démarre plus, ce qui m'ennuie assez étant totalement néophyte dans l'univers d'ubuntu. (J'espère que le sujet est pas considéré comme trop vieux, mais je ne comprends pas grand chose au forum je dois vous avouer hmm  ).
J'ai installer Ubuntu hier soir depuis une clef usb avec unebootin, et j'ai, en tant que bon crétin, fait l'installation complète sans trop savoir ou ça me menait. Ayant eu peur de faire une bétise je n'ai pas partitionner manuellement mes DD, j'ai choisi de laisser les deux OS mais que Linux se débrouille pour se trouver une place. Et depuis, quand GRUB se lance, j'ai 4 Choix linux, 2 memory test quelque chose, et 2 vista. Seulement bah ça marche pas, ça m'amène sur un écran Fujistu qui me propose de revenir au paramètre d'origines hmm...

Donc j'ai fais comme Malbo à dit de faire à la personne précédente, et voilà le résultat que ça me sort. (j'ai essayé de mettre des balises, je sais pas si ça a fonctionné).

As tu essayé la deuxième option pour Vista ?
Je crois que selon l'emplacement de Vista par rapport à la partition de restauration (l'une avant l'autre), grub-pc ne reconnait pas forcément la bonne.

PC fixe sous Bionic 64 bits et portable avec Focal 64 bits

La deuxième solution de Vista s'appel Vista recovery /dev/sda2, ou quelque chose de ce style, j'ai essayer également mais rien n'y fait, je me retrouve encore sur cet écran fujitsu malsain.
Donc le souci ne doit pas venir de là malheureusement!

Personne de disponible pour me venir en aide ? J'en aurai vraiment besoin, si quelqu'un sait d'où vient mon problème, ça m'aiderait énormément!
