lag d'ubuntu 10.10 (Xorg anormalement gourmand en ressource)
Bonjour à tous, je viens d'installer la version 10.10 et après avoir résolu mon problème de wifi je me rends conte que je lag... J'ai vu que je n'était pas le seul et je pense avoir identifier la source du problème, mais je n'arrive pas à le résoudre, donc si quelqu'un pouvais m'aider.
Ma carte graphique est une nvidia GeForce 6200

Juste pour info, je ne dis pas que c'est ton problème.
J'ai galéré pas mal quelques temps avec Firefox que ce soit avec ubuntu 10.04 et 10.10.
J'avais de gros problèmes avec FFX qui commençait par des lag sérieux et finalement un plantage hard du PC.
J'ai finalement fini par localiser le problème c'était dans mon cas le fait d'utliser les pilotes propriétaires nvidia que ce soient les version 1.73 1.90(??) ou "recommandé".
J'ai inhibé ces pilotes et depuis je n'ai plus de reboot intempestifs.
Aucune trace dans les logs à part dans Xorg un message avertissant que Xorg semblait être entré dans une boucle infini (perdu la trace réelle)
Depuis je suis retourné sous mon install 10.04 et j'ai encore un problème de lag que j'ai indentifié comme-suit à savoir que dans cette page le scrolling me fait exploser la charge processeur.

Si je passe en visualisation d'un autre onglet la charge retombe.
Le simple fait de pointer la fenêtre srolling, fige le scroll et tomber la charge.
Et là je suis en train de rechercher la cause...

Ubuntu Maverick ,avec kde 4.6 en 64 bits et une carte nvidia 7600GS PCI express.
J'ai aussi une fuite de mémoire dans Xorg, je démarre vers 100 mo , le processus Xorg finit par atteindre 700 mo au bout de quelques heures. Même sans rien faire.
Cette fuite n'existe qu'avec le pilote nvidia, peut importe la version des dépôts ou une version x-swat. j'ai tout essayé.
La solution : passage au pilote nouveau ou nv.
C'est radical.
Ensuite comme j'ai eu des freeze avec ce pilote nouveau je suis repassé à nvidia.
Je viens de lire dans un forum fedora qu'en desactivant xinerama (si on n'utilise qu'un sel ecran) on pouvait réduire l'occupation mémoire de xorg, il devrait suffire d'ajouter à xorg.conf :

Pour l'instant pour moi çà a l'air de marcher, xorg a augmenté depuis le redémarrage de 60 mo à 148 mo mais se stabilise depuis 1/2 heure.
Si je libère des applications, la charge sur xorg baisse alors qu'auparavant il n' y avait jamais de baisse.
