XGL/compiz sous amd64 !

Salut smile

Je vous écrit pour savoir si vous auriez un moyen d'installer xgl/compiz sous un ubuntu en amd64, parce qu'il manque la plupart des paquets importants sur les dépôts de beerorkid (libsvg-cairo, gcompizthemer..)

J'essaie aussi de le faire fonctionner pour voir ce que cela donne. J'ai pu tout installer (à priori) mais à l'ouverture de session, j'ai un écran noir et c'est tout (un carré blanc parfois).

Tu as tout dans la doc, ainsi que le lien pour un site qui propose les dépôts pour 64 bits (quelques magouilles pour les dépendances, mais ça passe).

J'ai suivi la même doc (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/applications/xgl), et j'arrive au même résultat un écran (bleu pour moi) à l'ouverture de session et rien ne se passe puis je reviens a l'écran de login kdm...
Si quelqu'un a une solution???

Mais j'ai une erreur lors de l'apt-get update :

Impossible de récupérer http://ubuntu.moshen.de/dists/dapper/Release  Unable to find expected entry  main/binary-amd64/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)
Lecture des listes de paquets... Fait
E: Le téléchargement de quelques fichiers d'index a échoué, ils ont été ignorés, ou les anciens ont été utilisés à la place.

Si quelqu'un à la solution??

C'est le dépot qui m'a permis de faire foncitonner Xgl/compiz quand j'étais sous Xubuntu AMD64 donc oui il est important. Il y a les dernières version (presque avec quand même quelques jours de retard par rapport au depot officiel mais qui lui ne fourni pas de paquets AMD64) de tous les paquets utils à compiz et xgl.

Peut être que le dépot est momentanément hors service.

C'est bon merci cdemoulins, il fallait just éditer correctement /etc/apt/sources.list avec :

deb http://ubuntu.systemadministrator.org dapper all
deb-src http://ubuntu.systemadministrator.org dapper all

en espérent que XGL marche neutral

Ca ne marche pas toujours le même problème au chargement de xgl apres l'écran de login kdm rien ne se charge ... Depuis le term j'ai une erreur:

Fatal server error:
no GLX visuals available

FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/share/X11/fonts/misc" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.

Si quelqu'un a une solution??? sad

Bon il me faudrait ton xorg.conf pour voir ce qui va pas, il se trouve dans /etc/X11/
Il faudrait que tu me dise quel est ta carte graphique.

Une autre question est ce que tu as déjà essayé de lancer xgl à partir de gdm car si tu as suivi le tuto, c'est avec gdm que xgl devrais se lancer ?

Ma carte graphique c'est une nvidia nx 6600 series.
Dans le tuto http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/applications/xgl il parle de GDM et de KDM ...

Pour lancer xgl, on doit bien choisir xgl dans les options du lancement de session ?

Va voir sur cette page pour activer l'accélération graphique : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/nvidia

Ce qui est curieux c'est que dans ton xorg.conf dans la section "device" tu as 2 ligne driver, une avec nv et l'autre avec nvidia, je me demande si sa pose pas quelques problème, tu peux essayer de mettre en commentaire la ligne avec nv.

Tu nous diras si xgl fonctionne.

Petites questions : le fait qu'avec xgl on utilise l'accelération de la carte graphique sur le bureau, l'affichage, qui parfois saccade un peu, sera fluide ? Et pour la synchronisation verticale ? Aura-t-on toujours du "tearing" lors de déplacement de fenêtre ?

Yahoooooo, j'arrive a démarrer XGL smile par contre mes applications n'ont pas de barre de titre ni de contour ... donc ça crain un peu! Si quelqu'un a une solution / expliquation?
De plus je n'avais qu'un seul bureau  j'ai remis comme à mon habitude à 6 mais comment navigué?

bon c'est déjà bien, pour les bordures tu peux faire une recherche sur le forum, beaucoup d'autres topic en parle, en général le faite de relancer le script qui lance compiz permet de resoudre le problème.

J'ai la libGL.so.1.2 qui fait plus de 600Ko, mon problème viendrait de là peut-être ? Mais je ne possède pas celle faisant 400 Ko hmm.

Moi perso j'ai jamais eu de problème avec libGL.so.1.2 donc je ne sais vraiment pas.
