Problème ATI X1600

Coucou tout le monde!

je continue avec mes soucis d'install (si, si, y a des trucs qiu marchent quand même: genre j'ai réussi à mettre d'accord mes versions Win et Linux de Firefox...bref...), cette fois la carte graphique nommée dans le titre (sur un ASUS W2JC).
Après avoir mélangé plusieurs techniques trouvées ici: http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Dapper_Installation_Guide

je crois que j'ai un peu foutu le bordel partout vu que ça me dit ça quand je fais fglrxinfo:

et en plus ma résolution qui était à 1400x1050 (au lieu de 1680x1050 sur win) est bloquée à 1024x768! Pas top sur un 17"!

Sinon, mon fichier /etx/X11/worg.conf dit ça:

Dans le xorg.conf que tu as copié, tu utilises le driver "vesa". Dans ton cas, il faut mettre "fglrx" pour que l'accélération 3d fonctionne

salut,
pour la resolution du monitor:
1) connaitre la synchro horizontal,vertical du monitor,Tres important.
2) ligne de commande sur un terminal:
& sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
si cela ne fonctionne pas,il faut ouvrir le xorg.conf et ajouter les resolutions a la main,les synchros aussi.
3)pour la 3D
sous synaptic a jour chargez:
& fglrx-control
& fglrx-kernel-source
& xorg-driver-fglrx
& xorg-driver-fglrx-dev
& xserver-xorg-driver-ati
& sudo aticonfig --initial
ou
sous console root:
& apt-get install fglrx-control fglrx-kernel-source xorg-driver-fglrx xorg-driver-fglrx-dev xserver-xorg-driver-ati
& aticonfig --initial
reboot
glxinfo

alors, j'ai résolu les problèmes de résolution, donc merci, déjà ça c'est cool!
Par contre, pour la 3D marche toujours pas! Pourtant, j'ai fait tout ce que tu m'as marqué...sauf aticonfig --initial, il trouvait pas...est-ce à cause de ça?

ligne commande terminal:
sudo aticonfig --initial -f
si le meme message apparait.
& sudo nautilus
allez sur systeme de fichiers/etc/X11/
la vous aller voir plusieurs fichiers xorg.conf et par extention org.conf.xxxxxxxx,suprimer les fichichiers par extention les fichiers org.conf.xxxxxxxx,faire une copie de fichier xorg.conf en xorg.conf.bak.surtout pas d'erreurs.
sudo aticonfig --initial

ça veut bien dire qu'il n'y a rien à faire... pas besoin de s'embêter avec ta manipulation raspouille .

Quelle version des pilotes ati as-tu installé avec la méthode du wiki cchtml ? Et quelle partie de la méthode as-tu suivi exactement (installation des paquets générés à partir de l'installeur je suppose) ?

Car si tu as rajouté ce que t'as donné raspouille par dessus, c'est normal que ça ne fonctionne pas (problème de conflits de versions)

comment puis-je m'en sortir alors???

Tu as utilisé l'installeur directement ou alors les paquets deb générés à partir de l'installeur ?
Si tu as utilisé les paquets deb, supprime fglrx-kernel-$(uname -r), et installe linux-restricted-modules-$(uname -r). Ensuite fais "sudo depmod -a", puis redémarre, et normalement, il ne devrait plus y avoir de problème de version
