si tu est sûr de ne jamais avoir d'ennuis avec le 2.6.15.27 tu peux enlever le 2.6.15.26 mais...

tu peux aussi forcer grub a n'en afficher qu'un

## controls how many kernels should be put into the menu.lst
## only counts the first occurence of a kernel, not the
## alternative kernel options
## e.g. howmany=all
##      howmany=7
# howmany=all<-- là tu mets 1

la roue tourne...c'est sûr! c'est même pour ça qu'on l'a inventée.

Salut quand je tape : 

grub> find /boot/grub/stage1

ça donne :

Error 15: File not found

A priori c'est la commande find qu'il ne trouve pas.

Et à chaque démarrage il dit qu'il ne trouve pas le fichier "message.xxx".
Que faire?

Question bête : est-ce qu'il n'y a pas moyen de mettre le tout en français dans les options et tout ça ?

Bonjour, jai installer cette version de grub, aucun problème lors de l'installation, le grub s'affiche bien. J'arrive a booter sur ubuntu mais pas sur windows. Lorsque je séléctionne Windows XP, il revient au menu de départ et windows ne se lance pas. Que faut t'il faire pour résoudre ce problème ?

J'ai regarder les partitions de mon ordi et j'ai vue que ma partition Windows n'est plus acsessible. Est ce que le disque est mort ou qu'il y a un problème au niveau des disques, je ne sais pas. Par contre je dois m'absenter la semaine suivante. J'espère que mon disque remarchera.

Au pire ecrase grub par mbr pour essayer d accéder à ton windows (avec le cd d'installation MS windows>rescue mod>sur le terminal, tape fixmbr. Fais aussi un check disk... Après tu pourras toujours réinstaller grub.

Sur mes depots edgy tout frais j'ai trouvé deux paquets "gfxboot" et "gfxboot-theme-ubuntu" que j'ai installé.
A quoi servent ils ? Comment les utiliser ?
"gfxboot" remplace t'il grub aussi ? Est ce toujours d'actualité de désinstaller grub (çà j'aime pas )

bonjour,
voila, je viens d'installer gfxboot sur ma edgy eft avec kernel 2.6.18.1(le dernier en date compilé par mes soins), et tout marche bien.
J'ai mis comme "theme" http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=46777&vote=good&tan=30290492
et je dois dire que cela m'a agréablement surpris.
Grub est toujours aussi rapide, et c'est beaucoup plus joli.

Oui c'est toujours d'actualité ! Autrement je ne sais pas à quoi sert le paquet gfxboot-theme-ubuntu, si quelqu'un sait...

La fonction howmany ne marche pas chez moi hmm J'ai tout simplement commenté le kernel dont je ne me servais pas.

J'ai suivi le wiki sur grub-gfx. J'ai bien ajouté à grub/menu.lst : gfxmenu (hd0,5)/boot/grub/.... car j'ai Ubuntu référencé en (hd0,5).

Mais j'ai aussi Windows référencé dans le grub/menu.lst par (hd0,0) qui apparaissait dans le menu de Grub. Par contre, il n'apparaît pas dans la liste des OS du menu de Grub-gfx.

Que faut-il faire pour que le choix Windows soit de nouveau présenté dans le menu des OS de Grub-gfx?

Pour bien situer le pb :  J'ai bien le menu "message.ubugrey" qui s'affiche au démarrage  mais le choix  "Windows 95/98/Me" n'apparaît pas alors que c'était le cas avant.

J'ai 2 OS sur le même Disque Dur !! (Kunbutu et windows xp)
et depuis que j'ai installer le Grub-GFX, je n'arrive plus a booter sur Windows (hd0,0) mais Kubuntu demarre (hd0,2) :'(

Bonjour, je voudrais installer grub en graphique mais je ne m'y retrouve absolument pas.
Pourriez-vous m'indiquer la marche à suivre, est-il nécessaire de supprimé grub comme dans la tuto du wiki (je l'ai déjà planté une fois donc j'aimerai être sur) ?

Edit: c'est bon c'est réglé j'ai bien mon thème d'affiché

Ben Windows est sur cette partition hmm
hd0,0 -> Partition NTFS de Windows
hd0,1 -> Partition SWAP
hd0,2 -> Partition EXT3 de Ubuntu
hd0,3 -> Partition Commune en FAT32

Quand j'essaye root sur le hd0,0 il me dit: File system unknow ??:rolleyes:

Je ne sais pas ce que veut dire BIP ??

Au démarrage quand je veux booter sur ma partition Windows, il reviens sur l'interface graphique de Grub !! (avec le decompte du temps etc ....)

Donc je demarre sur Kubuntu, et je lance grub en ligne de commande.
Ensuite je root sur le hd0,0.
et la, il me mets File System Unknow + d'autre trucs ...
(Je te ferai exactement un copié/coller ce soir)

sinon je serais bien intéressé par ce petit truc la mais j'ai encore des données sensibles sous windows donc si ça ne marche plus hmm

Pareil pour moi Windows apparait dans la liste mais si je le choisi ça revient sur la liste des choix sad

Sous Ubuntu la partition Windows n'apparait plus

c'est curieux hmm
comme windows est chainloadé il faudrait peut être vérifier que windows est bootable . avec gparted regarder la partition hd(0,0) => en face de drapeaux doit être écrit: boot
