[Resolu] i810 et accélération 3D

Bonjour,
Est-il possible d'activer l'accélération 3D avec un chipset i810 ?
Je suis sous dapper 1.06, j'ai bien xserver-xorg driver i810 1:1.4.1.3 pour Dapper installé. J'ai vérifié le Direct rendering est sur NO.
J'ai essayé de reconfigurer xorg mais il y a des choses dont je ne suis pas sûr. Voici le xorg.conf :

Comme vous pouvez voir j'ai alloué 16 Mo à la mémoire vidéo (c'est trop ? pas assez ?), je n'ai que 256 Mo de RAM

j'ai essayé aussi d'installer le 915resolution comme indiqué dans le tuto mais je bloque là quand je fais
:

sudo 915resolution -l

Tu devrais poster le résultat de : dmesg et aussi le fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

As-tu essayé en changeant la ligne suivante : DefaultDepth    24 --> DefaultDepth    16 et en allouant plsu de mémoire vidéo à ta carte graphique ?

Je n'ai effectivement pas encore essayé d'allouer plus de mémoire vidéo, mais faut dire que j'ai alloué 16 mo un peu au pifomètre, en me disant que si je lui en donne trop ça risque de ralentir les applications (ce qui est peut être complètement faux, j'en sais rien). Je peux toujours essayer. Il faut obligatoirement réduire la profondeur (c'est bien ça DefaultDepth ?) de 24 à 16 ?

Yes !!! ça marche, j'ai bien l'accélération 3D maintenant, j'ai alloué 32 Mo à la mémoire vidéo et j'ai réduis DefaultDepth de 24 à 16.
Avant de mettre résolu je voudrais savoir si la mémoire qu'on alloue à la vidéo est deduite de la mémoire pour faire tourner les applications (ça me paraitrait logique mais bon ma logique n'est pas forcément en adéquation avec celle de l'informatique wink )
et quel est le lien entre la DefaultDepth et la memoire vidéo ?

DefaultDepth est le nombre de couleurs affiché. Et plus t'as de mémoire vidéo plus ça marche mieux avec un grand nombre de couleurs.

Bah, ça donne la même chose qu'avant. sad

Mais avec glxgears -printfps ça donne ~150 fps en plus.

Bon alors j'ai fait quelques tests :
je suis repassé de 16 à 24 pour le DefaultDepth en gardant 32000 Ko pour la mémoire vidéo. Résultat je n'ai plus l'accélération 3D.
Je passe la mémoire vidéo à 64000 Ko, laisse le DefaultDepth à 24 : toujours pas de 3D.
Je remet la mémoire vidéo à 32000 et le DefaultDepth à 16 : et là j'ai la 3D.
J'aimerai bien comprendre pourquoi à 64 Mo j'ai pas la 3D et si la mémoire vidéo allouée est déduite de la mémoire vive.:)

Je crois que c'est parce que le i810 utilise 32 MO au max.

En fait, moi aussi j'ai la 3D, mais j'ai les même blèmes avec les jeux 256 couleurs sous Cube, Nexuiz, Tremulous)... T'arrives à les faire marcher Zoreye??

J'étais au taf et j'ai pas eu une minute. Je n'ai pas essayé les jeux en fait. Merci pour l'info, je comprend maintenant pourquoi ça ne marche pas avec + de 32mo.
On considère cque c'est résolu ?
