[Résolu] Installer l'accélération 3D: je donne ma langue au chat

Bonjour

Vous avez deviné: je planche à installer l'accélération 3D, même après avoir lu plusieurs fois la FAQ. Je viens de reconfigurer Xorg, mais glxinfo me signale à chaque fois que le Direct Rendering n'est pas installé:

glxinfo | grep direct a écrit :

J'ai un processeur type AMD 64, une carte graphique ATI RADEON 9250, je ne pense pas que ce soit au niveau du matériel que ça coince, puisque j'avais installé l'accélération 3D avant cette reconfiguration de Xorg.

Oh que oui (je connais mêmes certaines suites de commandes par cœur maintenant). Doc, FAQ, Forum, amis, j'ai tout fait; c'est pour ça que je poste. J'ai encore lu quelques fils de discution ce matin, mais doit ils ne correspondent pas à mon matos, soit ils ne sont pas résolus.

essaie dans l'ordre:
sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bak 
puis sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
tu valides tt par défaut, sauf le drver, tu prend radeon
puis tu relance X
ça devrait marcher
sinon, tu remet l'ancien
c'est a dire
sudo mv /etc/X11xorg.conf.bak /etc/X11/xorg.conf
ok?

Dans la liste de drivers proposés, ne ne trouvent que ati, neomagic et siliconmotion (donc pas radeon).
Alors là, je ne vois pas où ça bloque...

Si tu comptes utiliser le pilote libre "ati", il faut que tu supprimes d'abord tous les paquets avec fglrx : xorg-driver-fglrx, fglrx-control....

Enfin, tu suis ce qu'à dit effraie, mais pour le pilote, sélectionne "ati". smile

Oui, j'ai bien viré les deux paquets en rapport avec fglrx, comme dit dans le tuto smile
Pour la suite, je te fais confiance.

Edit:
après qu'on m'ait demandé, dans dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg, la profondeur en bits de mon écran (enfin vous voyez de l'étape dont je veux parler), je mange ce message d'erreur:

xserver-xorg postinst warning: overwriting possibly-customised configuration

Et ça m'est déjà arrivé...

Est-ce qu'un aticonfig --initial s'imposerait?

Edit 2:
je ne trouve aticonfig ni dans /usr/bin, ni dans les dépôts... est-ce qu'une pendaison s'imposerait?

c'est une erreur de ma part
recommence la manip, choisit ati.
ensuite, édite le fichier a ala main et change "ati" en "radeon"

V1944 > le programme aticonfig est réservé pour les pilotes propriétaires (fglrx). Pour le pilote libre (ati), tu n'as rien besoin de faire de plus normalement smile.

xserver-xorg postinst warning: overwriting possibly-customised configuration
   file; backup in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.20060910225048

Là, il te prévient juste qu'il va écraser ton xorg.conf (que tu as éventuellement modifié), et qu'il en a fait une sauvegarde sous xorg.conf.20060910225048.


effraie > pas besoin de changer ati en radeon. Le pilote "ati" charge lui même le sous-pilote "radeon" s'il détecte une ATI radeon smile.

enfin, tu as un xorg.conf sain sur lequel bosser, c'est déja ça.. fait en une copie dans un coin, ça peut servir..

Peux-tu supprimer les paquets linux-restricted-modules-*, et supprimer "fglrx" de ton /etc/modules ? car là il charge quand même le module "fglrx", et c'est ça qui doit tout faire rater tongue
