GDM tourne en boucle

Bonjour,

Hier, lorsque j'ai voulu allumer mon portable sous natty, j'ai entré mon mot de masse comme d'habitude à l'écran de connexion... sauf que lorsque je valide, celui-ci disparaît comme si le bureau allait s'afficher... puis un écran noir une fraction de seconde... et retour à l'écran de connexion.

J'ai essayé de me connecter avec Unity, Gnome, Xfce... même résultat. J'ai essayé de lancer un

dpkg-reconfigure gdm

depuis la console... sans résultat

Depuis quelques jours j'avais souvent des problèmes à l'extinction de mon PC : dans certains cas, celle ci ne se terminaient pas et j'étais obligé de l'éteindre brutalement alors que le splash de fermeture était toujours affiché. je ne voyais pas d'où ça pouvait venir, mais je crains que ce ne soit lié.

Est ce que vous auriez des pistes à me proposer? Là, je nage complètement...
(Note: j'accède à mon pc par un autre ubuntu sur une partition de test)

La dernière ligne (répétée une fois auparavant) me fait craindre un problème avec mon home crypté...

Re : GDM tourne en boucle

Petite précision : en passant par le mode "récupération" proposé dans GRUB, et en choisissant le mode sans échec graphique, j'arrive exactement au même résultat. A défaut de mieux je pense que je vais être bon pour tenter la récup de mon home crypté etr de faire une ré-install...

Note : via ce tuto simplissime j'arrive à accéder à nouveau à mon home... Reste plus qu'à sauvegarder tout ça et réinstaller... visiblement je ne suis pas un cas isolé.
