[résolu] installation driver libre radeon sur acer aspire 1692WMI

Bonjour à tous,

j'utilise kubuntu edgy sur un portable Acer Aspire 1692 WLMI équipé d'une ATI mobility Radeon X700. Je voudrais installer l'accéleration 3D pour profiter de beryl. Si j'ai bien compris, il suffit d'installer le driver libre Radeon, étant donné que AIGLX est intégré dans Xorg 7.1.
Pour cela, j'ai édité mon xorg.conf pour remplacer , dans la section "Device", driver "ATI" par driver "radeon". J'ai, de plus, ajouté :

Malgré ces manipulations, l'accélération graphique ne fonctionne pas, j'ai environ 260 FPS avec glxgears.

Il va falloir regarder du /var/log/Xorg.0.log ce qui ne va pas, c'est à dire les lignes commençant par (WW) et (EE).

j'ai pas souvenir d'avoir vu que la 3D était gérée par le pilote radeon libre pour les ATI X700, même avec xorg 7.1, mais je peux me tromper neutral

Il faudrait donc donc que j'installe les drivers fglrx + xgl pour avoir beryl...

pour les drivers proprio, il suffit que j'installe le paquet xorg-driver-fglrx et après changer dans mon xorg.conf Driver "radeon" par Driver "fglrx", c'est bien ça ?

Maintenant mon problème c'est d'installer les drivers proprio. J'ai installé le paquet xorg-driver-fglrx ainsi que le paquet fglrx-control, qui me permet de vérifier que ma carte, une mobility radeon X700 est bien reconnue par le driver. J'ai également changé Driver "radeon" par Driver "fglrx" dans mon xorg.conf.
Pourtant quand je lance glxgears, j'ai environ 160 FPS et aussi une ligne qui me dit :

il te manque le paquet fglrx-kernel de la même version que tes pilotes wink
fais une recherche sur fglrx dans synaptic wink

Tu parles bien du paquet fglrx-kernel-source ? je viens de l'installer, mais ça ne change rien au score de glxgears et la ligne d'erreur est toujours là. Y a-t-il une manipulation supplémentaire à effectuer ?

ah ok, mais je vois que ta capture vient de Dapper (noyau 2.6.15), alors que je suis sous edgy et ce paquet n'apparait pas dans ma liste. Peut être le paquet correspondant a changé de nom ?

hmm j'ai jamais vu ça montre ton sources.list

En principe c'est pas en sélection manuelle vu que c'est compris dans le paquet linux-restricted.
Sauf que là, comme j'utilise les pilotes du dépôt de MrPouit, il faut fournir le module qui va bien et remplacer, donc, celui du paquet linux-restricted wink

Bon, en plus je suis encore sous Dapper... tongue

2- le log de xorg wink

j'ai bien le paquet linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17-10-generic qui est installé, et qui correspondant à mon noyau. Le noyau generic remplace dans edgy les noyaux k7, 686 etc de dapper.

Je commence à me dire qu'il s'agit d'un problème inhérent à edgy actuellement et qu'il faudrait attendre une mise à jour pour que cela fontionne...

Salut à tous,

Je n'aide pas à résoudre le problème mais je tiens à préciser que le driver libre fonctionne bien avec l'ati X700 mobility pci-e. Je possède un asus AV6A et je tourne en ce moment avec le driver libre plus beryl ( c'est plus lent et instable qu'avec le driver fglrx mais ça fonctionne ). Pour l'install j'ai trouvé un xorg.conf sur le forum.


Asus A6VA : Pentium M 740 , 1024 DDR2 533, ATI X700 PCIE 128MB
Ubuntu : Edgy + Driver libre + Aiglx + Beryl

[edit2] J'ai essayé d'utiliser le xorg trouvé sur ce sujet et qui marchait pour la personne en question, mais chez moi ça ne change rien, je me retrouve avec la meme chose que j'avais au début avec les drivers libres. Donc si Jiraiya972 veut bien repasser dans le coin avec son xorg, je lui serais infiniment reconnaissant.

Il faut bien penser à déinstaller fglrx complètement et rétirer "fglrx" dans /etc/modules.
Voila c'est tout ce que j'ai fais si je me rappelle bien.

Merci jiraiya972, mais finalement j'ai résolu mon problème avec une méthode un peu bourrine, puisque j'ai réinstallé edgy. A partir de là, il m'a suffit dans mon xorg.conf tout neuf de changer driver "ATI" par driver "radeon" et de rajouter la ligne pour l'option render enable. Grâce à ça, j'ai eu un score d'environ 2000 avec glxgears,(bien qu'en fait ça soit le même score qu'avec le driver "ATI" par défaut). Ensuite j'ai rajouté le dépôt pour beryl dans mon sources.list : deb http://ubuntu.beryl-project.org edgy main-edgy. J'ai installé les paquets beryl (avec les dépendances) et emerald-themes. Ensuite il m'a suffit de lancer beryl-manager pour avoir un beryl tout beau et parfaitement fonctionnel !
Maintenant il faut voir si je peux optimiser en rajoutant des lignes dans mon xorg.conf et comparer avec mon ancien xorg.conf d'avant ma réinstallation pour voir la différence et peut etre éviter aux gens (à zer0 notamment) de devoir réinstaller pour profiter des drivers libres.

en tout cas voila mon xorg.conf actuel et parfaitement fonctionnel :
