Problème installation pilotes nvidia [Résolu]

Bonjour à tous,

Je viens d'installer Ubuntu Dapper LTS 6.06. Je possède une Geforce 4 Ti (Asus V8440) et j'ai tenté d'installer les drivers nvidia (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/nvidia). Tout s'est bien passé jusqu'au redémarrage du server X. Mon écran reste allumé mais rien ne s'affiche alors que mon deuxième écran se met en veille. (le premier est sur la sortie vga le second sur la dvi avec un adaptateur vga)

J'ai également essayer de suivre une autre méthode d'installation (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/nvidia.run) en utilisant "Envy" puis en téléchargeant directement les drivers sur le site de nvidia. Dans tous les cas, l'installation se passe bien mais lorsque je redémarre, le server X ne se lance pas (écran noir)

Tu devrais essayer de rajouter des options dans ton xorg.conf, ton probleme vient du fait que tu as 2 ecrans, tu dois les identifier correctement.
Tu peux deja commencer par en debranchant un pour commencer avant de configurer ensuite les 2 en meme temps !

Utilises cette partie du wiki : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/nvidia#l_interface_dvi
et n'hesites pas à lire le readme qui va avec les drivers nvidia pour plus d'infos sur la configuration de tes drivers.

Salut et merci d'avoir répondu

J'ai tout débranché pour me retrouver avec un seul écran sur la sortie vga. J'ai désinstallé les drivers et j'ai reconfiguré le server X (dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg). J'ai ensuite recommencé l'installation des drivers (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/nvidia).

J'ai l'impression que y a du mieux. L'écran reste noir mais si j'attends un peu j'ai le son d'ouverture de session. Voici le X.org.log (désolé je le mets en entier je sais pas trop quelle partie est intéressante)

Le driver nvidia semble bien se lancer mais je sais pas à quoi correspondent les WAIT

Comme je t'ai expliqué, je ne crois pas que le probleme vienne des drivers nvidia !!
D'ailleurs, je vois que les derniers drivers 8776 sont correctement installés et il n'y a pas d'erreur dans le xorg.log !!
Le système reconnait aussi qu'il y bien un écran de branché (qu'il appelle CRT-1 d'apres le xorg.log
Je pense qu'il faut rajouter une option dans le xorg.conf pour indiquer quel ecran est branché a ta carte graphique et sur quelle prise ! comme indiqué sur le wiki dans le lien que je t'ai donné
Tu devrais aussi lire http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/1.0-8776/README/appendix-d.html (desole c'est en anglais) mais tu auras la toutes les options pour forcer les drivers à utiliser tel ecran en premier (exemple avec l'option : Option "ConnectedMonitor")

La je peux pas t'en dire plus, tu devrais aussi me dire quel est tres exactement ton matériel : quel ecran (crt ou ou lcd) utilisant quelle prise  est relié comment à ta carte graphique !! et je pense qu'il vaut mieux utiliser le dvi en priorité si tu en as la possibilité !

J'ai deux écrans LCD (NEC LT17u et NEC LV17m) qui se branchent en vga (donc pas de vrai dvi je dois passer par un adaptateur). Pour commencer j'ai seulement le LT17u branché sur la sortie VGA de la carte graphique

J'ai donc modifié le fichier xorg.conf

J'ai rajouté

Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT"

dans la section Screen juste après DefaultDepth comme sur le wiki

Quand je démarre, l'écran se met en veille et là encore j'entends le son d'ouverture de session après un moment. En regardant le Xorg.log j'ai une erreur qui apparait :

J'ai aussi testé sur la sortie dvi avec "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP" et l'écran se met toujours en veille. Dans le log, il est détecté mais j'ai encore l'erreur DVC

Voici le log. Il trouve pas la résolution mais comme il prend 800x600 par défaut je pense pas que le problème vienne de là

je viens de tester l'option UseDisplayDevice "CRT" avec l'écran branché sur la sortie vga et là j'ai juste l'écran noir avec un log sans erreur, je comprends rien du tout...

Un autre truc qui est peut être important j'ai dû mettre vga=771 a la fin du menu.lst pour avoir l'affichage sur l'écran sinon il se bloque sur "Fréquence video trop élevée". je sais pas si ca a un rapport.

Ecoute, franchement, je suis un peu dépassé la !!

Par contre, le readme de nvidia dit bien :

NOTE: anything attached to a 15 pin VGA connector is regarded by the driver as a CRT. "DFP" should only be used to refer to digital flat panels connected via a DVI port.

Vu que tu passes par un adaptateur et non par un vrai dvi, je ne crois pas que tu puisses utiliser DFP, d'ailleurs, tu remarqueras que tu as bien plus de messages d'erreurs comme ca !
Tu devrais essayer l'option Option "UseDisplayDevice" "CRT " avec l'écran sur le dvi pour voir....

Enfin pour le coup du vga=771, je pense que ca peux jouer mais n'en suis pas certain.... tu vas devoir faire des tests avec/sans pour voir le meilleur choix
Je sais pas trop quoi te dire.

Un truc que j'ai remarqué aussi, la 2e fois il te met:

alors que dans ton premier xorg.log, ca marchait, il te mettait :

Je viens d'essayer usedisplaydevice crt avec l'écran sur le dvi mais sans succès

j'enlève aussi le vga=771 mais ca change rien sauf que mon écran affiche fréquence trop élevée et j'entends le son au bout d'un moment.

Par contre j'ai eu un truc nouveau. Je suis passé au twinview avec mes deux ecrans branchés et donc ConnectedMonitor:CRT (Dans le log je vois qu'il convertit seul en CRT-0,CRT-1 et en attendant (beaucoup) le second écran et devenu blanc (le nec lv17m branché sur la sortie dvi) et blanc c'est la couleur de mon fond d'écran donc ca a l'air d'être bon signe mais j'ai pas de curseur et l'autre (lt17u sur vga) affichait fréquence trop élevée pendant ce temps (j'avais enlevé le vga=771 et quand je le remet ca le fait plus bien sur)

est ce que je devrais tenter les drivers legacy?

l'erreur edid c'est quand je demande dfp alors qu"en fait je suis en crt pour lui donc tu avais raison il faut mettre crt tout le temps je crois

Je continue de penser que le probleme ne vient pas des drivers nvidia... mais je peux me tromper !
Neanmoins, fais attention aux drivers legacy que tu telecharges...les tous derniers ne supportant que les anciens GPU, il faut en prendre des plus anciens qui supportent plus de GPU...mais bon, ils sont vieux ces drivers....

c'est juste parce que je voulais les drivers mais je me contenterais de pouvoir faire marcher un dual screen sans 3D du moins pour l'instant.

Et j'ai aussi des problemes à faire fonctionner un dual screen avec les drivers "nv" :

Sur un écran j'ai mon bureau mais sur l'autre j'ai un affichage tout moche et qui ressemblerait plus à un clone de mon bureau qu'à un autre bureau (ca ressemble à rien mais ca bouge quand je déplace la souris sur mon bureau)

Par contre, il me semble bien que pour faire un dual screen correct, il te faut avoir installé les drivers nvidia...on tourne en rond la..;)
M'enfin, avant d'avoir un dual screen, faut peut etre deja que ca marche avec un seul ecran !!
Tu peux toujours revenir aux drivers nv si ca marche mieux, tu as peut etre pas besoin de faire de la 3d ?

Ca y est ça marche! J'ai branché mes deux écrans, activé le twin view et ca a marché

T'avais raison c'était bien le xorg.conf.
j'avais certainement oublié une option (genre "nvAGP")
