PBM boot windows...
J'ai installé Ubuntu sans problème hier, 2 partitions sur un disque de 60 G :
- 30 G pour windows XP familialle (NTFS)
- 30 G pour Ubuntu (ext3)
Lors de l'installation j'ai choisi : "Utiliser hda2 pour ubuntu" (soit la deuxième partition)...
Ubuntu ne rencontre aucun problème... j'ai réussi à l'utilser et je suis satisfait du système pour l'instant. Cependant je n'arrive plus à booter sur Windows XP : au démarrage de l'ordinateur j'ai bien la possibilité entre Ubuntu et Windows... mais quand je choisi Windows, il y'a un redémarrage du PC.
Comment récuppérer windows et garder Ubuntu sans devoir tout ré-installer ?
(En lisant quelques sujet du forum j'ai vu Grub, une piste ?)

Bonjour,
Pourrais tu nous donner le contenu du fichier "menu.lst" dans le dossier /boot/grub ?
Que donne la commande : sudo fdisk -l ? (c'est un "L")
La partition Windows est-elle reconnue et lisible sous Ubuntu ?

Aïe...
D'après ton grub, ta partition Windows était sur hd0,0 ce qui est hda1
D'après ton fdisk -l, ton hda1 est une partition de swap Linux
J'ai peur que tu aies formaté ta partition windows en swap...
Les données sont peut être encore récupérables (je ne sais pas trop) par contre pour le système, tu as intéret à réinstaller Windows.

Tu peux essayer le logiciel testdisk pour récuperer ta partition Windows .
