[résolu]driver nvidia: je dois le recompiler à chaque démarage

Salute,

Je suis débutant, j'ai une install propre d'ubuntu drapper (os de travail), et vu que je me suis acheté un disque dur externe, je me suis que j'allais me faire la main : edgy+beryl
Tout marche bien, je compile le driver 97.46, je redemarre gdm avec un /etc/init.d/gdm start, tout redemarre nikel.
J'installe beryl, tout se passe nikel aussi(d'ailleur c'est trés sympa).
Mais losque je reboot, le moteur graphique ne s'initialise pas(ecran bleu et tout).
je peux quand meme démarer en faisant
ctrl+alt+f1
sudo  /etc/init.d/gdm stop (je pense que c'est pas la peine vu qu'il a pas démaré)
sudo sh /.../NVIDIA.jesaisplusquoi.run => recompilation
sudo  /etc/init.d/gdm start
mais vous le comprenez bien, c'est un peu galère.

Est ce que quelqu'un aurait une solution.
Je mets mon xorg, au cas ou (cg: 7900GS GO(dell))

ceux des versions precedentes? 2.6.15 et 386 (je tourne sous la version 2.6.17.10-generic)?
Je viens de le faire et pour me relancer mon serveur graphique j'ai encore recompilé...

je me repond .... j'ai trouvé qu'en deinstallant tout et en réinstallant tout (comme la solution de ce topic  http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=86522 ), ça a l'air de fonctionner, .... sauf que l'installation déinstalle linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r` et que cette page du wiki http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/wifi dit qu'il le faut pour faire marcher ma carte wifi.

J'ai donc le choix entre une carte video ou le wifi .... pas top

(du coup je ne sais plus trop ou poster : est ce que c'est un probleme de wifi ou de carte vidéo?)

j'ai trouvé : j'ai désinstallé mon driver, j'ai suivi ce tuto en anglais
http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/Latest_Nvidia_Edgy  et ça fonctionne.La principale difference avec le wiki en français (du moins que je crois), c'est qu'il spécifie les élements de compilation:

sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9746-pkg1.run -n -s --x-prefix=/usr/lib/xorg/ --kernel-source-path=/usr/src/linux-headers-`uname -r`

ça marche bien...reste plus qu'a installer beryl....

La réponse à ta question : comment installer les derniers drivers nvidia tout en conservant ses restricted-modules se trouve sur la doc française à cet endroit : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/nvidia.run#desinstallation_d_autres_drivers_nvidia
Il te suffit de rajouter une ligne dans un fichier de configuration.
Tu peux aussi utiliser envy qui installe et configure tout correctement.

Quand à la différence entre le wiki francais et anglais, les options de compilations spécifiées ne sont pas indispensables pour faire installer le driver et a priori ne corrigent pas ton problème.
