probleme de clavier pas de chiffre et pas de touche shift et d accent

bonjour a tous

j ai installe il y a quelques mois ubuntu, et globalement ca c est pas trop mal passe;

par contre depuis 2 jours, j ai un probleme clavier...

la touche shift n est pas reconnu et les chiffres non plus.
ma machine est un toshiba m30, j ai modifie en vain le fichier xorg.conf et j ai essaye de glaner des infos sur le net, mais sans succes;

bref, je ne sais plus quoi faire.
