Logge toi en console (Ctrl+alt+F1) et tape cat /var/lolo/Xorg.0.log | grep (EE)

Je l'ai fait mais ça n'a pas l'air de comprendre "(EE)" et quand je supprime (EE) ça me dit de me renseigner sur grep... J'avoue que je suis complètement dépassé

Et donc toujours impossible de redémarrer sur Ubuntu...Et il ne me reste plus que windows xp

Pas de panique.

tu relance la commande et tu laisse toutes les réponses par defaut.

sinon, tu copie/colle ton fichier xorg.conf (présent plus haut dans ce post) dans /etc/X11/xorg.conf et tout devrais rentrer dans l'ordre au redémarage du serveur X.

J'ai fait ça :

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

j'ai eu une série d'écrans et j'ai laissé par défaut, mais je retombe toujours sur les messages d'erreurs ci-dessus.

Donc, je ne peux toujours pas me connecter à Ubuntu

Sinon, comment est-ce que je peux avoir accès au fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Rien de bien grave surtout ne pas reinstaller. Tu te retrouverais certainement avec le même soucis.

Salut loloemr,

Je pensais réinstaller Ubuntu par dessus. Finalement, pour avoir une image meilleure, je me retrouve maintenant sans Linux !

Les fichiers je n'en ai  pas encore beaucoup étant donné que je débute. Ce qui me fait peur c'est plutôt comment ça va réagir avec le grub qui est dans c:

Mais enfin, maintenant on est carrément dans un autre sujet

Sinon, comment est-ce que je peux avoir accès au fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf

je te propose de regarder ce qu'il y a dans le répertoire /etc/X11 :

ls /etc/X11/

ensuite tu copie ton ancien fichier .xorg dans celui corrompu :

sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup /etc/X11/xorg.conf
startx

si tu a une clef usb ou une partition fat32 , tu peux aussi remettre ton fichier .xorg présent ici.

ok, je doit t'avouer que j'étais perplexe par ce message, mais en réalité, c'est parce que tu a mis un x au lieu d'un X. Refait la commande avec un X majuscule

Je vais t'expliquer la situation.

Ton fichier .xorg est mal configuré pour ton pc, ce qu'on va faire, c'est en remettre un qui marche, c'est a dire un de backup ou celui que tu a copié ici.

quant tu aura refait la commande ls /etc/X11/, cela t'affichera le contenu du dossier X11. Normalement, tu devra y trouver des fichiers .xorg.backup. Copie le plus ancien dans le fichier .org avec la deuxieme commande : sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup /etc/X11/xorg.conf . Il y aura peu être une date apres .backup, il faudra aussi la mettre.:P

Une fois que ceci sera fait, tu tape startx dans une console et normalement, ce sera bon. Si ce n'est toujours pas le cas, j'espère alors que tu a une clef usb ou une partition fat32, et je t'expliquerais alors toute la marche a suivre.

On va y arriver, parce que l'a on est vraiment embété par une connerie, heureusement qu'il y a une copie de ton fichier xorg sur le forum

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep (EE)

montre nous le résultat stp

hehe,
il me semble que tu a oublié un espace entre les deux fichier :

il faut un "espace" entre /etc/X11/xorg.conf.20070127084220 et /etc/X11/xorg.conf , ceci afin de bien les différencier

sinon pour lui c'est un seul et même fichier et donc il manque le fichier de destination (missing destination file...)

edit: .backup est a remplacer par la date, car comme tu a du le remarquer avec la commande ls, il n'y a pas de fichier .backup
edit2: manifestement, tu n'a pas besoin du sudo non plus, car tu a l'air d'être en root

alors pour que tu comprenne bien, tu a fait une erreur de syntaxe.

tu a mis /etc/X11/xorg.conf.date/

le dernier "/" signifie que c'est un "directory" (répertoire) alors que c'est un fichier.
c'est pour cela qu'il te met : "Not a directory"

de plus,  apres, tu a mis etc/X11/xorg.conf au lieu de /etc/X11/xorg.conf .

Donc, pour résumer, tu a mis l'"espace" au mauvais endroit

quant tu retournera en console, si tu te trompe dans la syntaxe, appuie sur la flèche du haut sur ton clavier, ca réecrira t'a dernière commande et tu pourra la modifier. si tu appuie 2 fois sur la flèche, ca te donnera l'avant dernière commande...

une fois que ce sera fait, tu tape startx et normalement tu retrouvera ton ubuntu comme avant (sauf si c'est pas le bon fichier backup)

allez, cette fois c'est la bonne !!!

bon ben si tu a encore l'iso d'ubuntu, fait un controle md5sum, juste au cas ou, car si ça se trouve, ton image est corrompu , ce qui peu expliquer tes bugs graphique.

sous Ubuntu, tu tape (c'est un exemple) :

md5sum /chemin/vers/ton/iso

et le resultat que ca te donne, tu le compare avec ce qui se trouve ici:
http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/installation/md5sum

si le numéro n'est pas strictement identique à celui indiqué si dessus, ben t'est bon pour retélécharger et réinstaller ubuntu, sinon, c'est que le problème viens d'ailleurs.

on va faire au plus simple.
tu met le cd dans le lecteur, tu redémarre dessus et si mes souvenirs sont bon, dans le menu, il doit y avoir une option du genre "controle integrité "in english.

J'ai fait ce que tu m'as dit sur le cd = checking integrity

Résultat : 0 checksums failed.

Donc, ça doit aller de ce côté là

As tu essayé de reprendre le xorg que tu nous avait passé ? Tu ouvre un éditeur pour éditer ton xorg :

sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

et tu fait les changements pour avoir à nouveau le même xorg que celui que tu avais.
