Windows vista ne démarre plus

Bonjour à tous,

j'ai installé Ubuntu cette après midi en suivant toute la procédure de la documentation.

Au démarrage Windows vista ne figure même plus dans la liste des systèmes d'explotation disponible, il apparait à la place Windows XP...

Quand je clique sur Windows Xp il me propose de le reinstaller, alors que windows n'a pas été supprimé! (j'ai vérifier sur Ubuntu).

Pour compléter mes problêmes, la procédure pour réparer ma session Vista avec NTFSFIX  ne fonctionne pas   au niveau de checkinstall (je ne le trouve pas dans les paquets).

Bref je suis un nouveau complétement perdu, et votre aide ne serait vraiment pas de trop.

Salut , Ouvre un terminal ( Applications ==> ACcesoires ==> Terminal )

et Copie colle moi le contenu de :

sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
sudo fdisk /dev/hda ===> Appuis ensuite sur 'p' et copie colle moi ce qu'il te dit tape ensuite 'q' pour quitter

Oui sans doute.

As tu une idée pour remettre le Boot loader de Vista sans qu'il y ai de conflits entre celui de linux?

Ta partition vista est en fat 16 ... hmm super bizarre enfin bon si tu veux booté vista met ca a la fin de /boot/grub/menu.lst :

title        Windows Vista
root        (hd0,1)
savedefault
makeactive
chainloader    +1

Tu peux enlever le code avec marquer windows XP / NT il ne sert a rien et il saffichera si tu ne lenleve pas

He Voila jvai t'expliquer quand meme :

quand tu fait sudo fdisk /dev/sda et que tu appuis sur P il te lit la table des partitions de ton disque dur , en général windows que se soit vista xp etc la partition est soit de type fat16 , fat32 ou ntfs tu reconnais donc dans la table de partition que /dev/sda2 est ta partition vista Donc dans /boot/grub/menu.lst ( grub étant le nom du bootloader ) tu va renseigner le titre windows vista et tu lui dit que vista se trouve sur /dev/sda2 grace a root (hd0,1) ==> hd0 car c'est ton disque dur en master et ,1 car en fait la premiere partition sda1 est le numéro 0 selon grub donc toi tu veux booté sur /dev/sda2 donc ==> (hd0,1) et voila apré les 2 autre options c"est pour pouvoir booté dessus.

PS : Oublie pas de placer un petit [Résolu] devant le titre
