Après avoir galéré, voici mon fichier xorg.conf
Il faut avoir auparavant récupéré les drivers nvidia.

J'ai moi aussi une carte video nvidia fx5200.
Je me suis inspiré de ton fichier xorg.conf pour profiter du dualscreen avec mes deux écrans plats identiques.
L'écran n°2 clignote toujours...
Voici mon fichier :

Ça y est !!!

J'ai trouvé le problème en visitant la page
http://yekubuntu.free.fr/hoary/p-nvidia.php

En voulant lancer la commande suivante:
sudo nvidia-glx-config enable

j'ai récupéré un message d'erreur me disant de remplacer "nv" par "nvidia" dans la section "driver" du fichier xorg.conf. Ce que j'ai fait.

Ctrl+Alt+Backspace pour redémarrer l'interface et prendre en compte les modifs.
Et ça marche !:)
J'aurais donc dû suivre encore plus à la lettre le fichier de coxifred
