installation sur un portable U840 ??

hello j'ai uun soucis avec l'installation de la 12.04 sur mon satellite U840
tout ce lance ... mais le soucis c'est que apres la selection du telechargement je n'ai pas acces au partitionnement assité ... je suis directement sur le tableau de partitionnement mais pas de disque dur afficher ?.... savez vous pourquoi ?

Déjà, t'as de la chance d'avoir un satellite ! oO
Ensuite, lorsque tu démarres en live CD (donc sans lancer l'install), est-ce que le système Live Ubuntu parvient à voir ton disque dur ?
Ton disque dur fonctionne-t-il avec un autre système d'exploitation ?

alors en live il voit bien le disque dur ..
apres avoir charger les infos pour les mise a jour il y a le tableau de partitionnement vide
et il me marque dans la liste des disques /dev/sdb c'est tout
apres j'avoue que je vais pas ouvrir desuite mon ordi pour savoir ... mais a mon avis du sata car c'est du ssd ...

Ah bah déjà c'est une info que c'est un SSD !
Ensuite, si t'as peur d'ouvrir ton ordi, tu ferais mieux de rester avec Windows....
C'est un disque neuf ?
Essaie de donner toutes les infos utiles du premier coup, ça fait gagner du temps à tous.
Et /dev/sdb, c'est ta clé USB ou pas ?
Et si il trouve un b, à mon avis il trouve aussi un a.

Mon conseil :
Soit tu partitionnes AVANT avec Gparted par exemple, puis t'essaies d'installer Ubuntu, peut-être qu'il verra le disque à ce moment-là.
Vérifie dans ton BIOS si y'a pas un setting bizarre à modifier.

Soit tu changes de distribution (si Ubuntu ne trouve pas ton disque, pas besoin de s'acharner). Essaie d'installer Fedora par exemple, et dis-nous si le disque est visible ce coup-ci

pareil J'ai fait l'acquisition de ce PC Toshiba satelllite U840-10R... j'ai tester en plus fedora, mandriva, et meme suse et rien n'y fait il ne reconnaite pas de disque via l'installateur ... par contre avec GParted il le detecte bien et permet mm de partition le HDD. Mais mm après cela dans l'installeur il ne voit pas la partition et le point de montage crée.

Que faire ? jpourrais pas continué a travailler sur Windob je serai malade a force !

- sauf si vous connaissez un cas récent, le "tatouage" n'existe plus sur les PCs récents
- ici Ubuntu n'a même pas été installé donc impossible de savoir s'il y a tatouage ou pas

Bonjour à tous,

Je possède un Toshiba Satellite U840-10R et j'ai enfin réussi à installer Ubuntu 12.10. Pour cela, suivez https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s … ion/217332 .
En gros, lors du lancement du liveUSB, il faut ouvrir un terminal et taper : "sudo dmraid -E -r /dev/sda" puis "sudo dmraid -E -r /dev/sdb".
Grâce à ça, l'outil d'install détecte les partitions des 2 disques. Attention, il faut placer le grub sur le HDD et non sur le SSD.
Penser à virer tout ce qui concerne le démarrage rapide dans le BIOS et Windows car cela est censé utiliser le SSD.

Par contre, après l'install, Ubuntu est beaucoup plus consommateur d'énergie que Windows. Si quelqu'un à une solution, je suis preneur.

Bon à savoir, merci pour le retour, ça peut servir à d'autres detenteurs de disques avec Intel Smart Response Technology.

Pour la conso d'energie, essayez d'installer un environnement plus leger, par exemple Xubuntu ou Lubuntu. Si ça ne va toujours pas, creez un rapport de bug sur Launchpad.net via la commande 'ubuntu-bug linux'.

j'ai vu ICI que cette commande efface la metadata Raid.
J'aimerais savoir, si ça va affecter le Windows.
Et, si oui, est-ce que je peux sauvegarder la metadata avant, pour ne pas avoir de problèmes ?

Je ne suis pas du tout convaincu que cette commande soit la bonne solution : comme toi, je me méfie des conséquences sur Windows ...
Pourrais-tu répondre à ces deux demandes :
1) donner la référence exacte de ton modèle (U840, ce n'est pas assez précis : il existe plusieurs modèles dont le nom commence par U840. tels que U840-10M, U840-10R, etc...)
2) depuis une session live de Ubuntu, faire un boot-info :  http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/boot-info

J'y vois tous les symptômes* de l'activation du système " Intel Smart réponse " qui est désigné aussi IRST (pour Intel Rapid Storage Technology). 
Pour arriver à installer Ubuntu, il va falloir désactiver cette fonction. Demande à Toshiba comment faire pour ton modèle.

Finalement, j'ai réussi a faire Ubuntu voir les Hdd. Comme décrit http://askubuntu.com/questions/189271/c … no-options en utilisant la premiere méthode.
En bref j'ai désinstallée dmraid et installé mdadm :

sudo apt-get remove dmraid
sudo apt-get install mdadm

parce que dmraid ne peut pas voir ISRT / IRST, et mdadm oui.

Mais j'ai un autre problème maintenant, en installant Ubuntu 13.04.

La première fois, j'ai fait trois partitions, root, swap et home comme décrits ICI, mais quand j’appuie sur Install, il y avait un message d'erreur : qu'il n'y a pas de root.

La deuxième fois j'ai choisi Install Ubuntu alongside comme ICI, mais il y a une autre erreur :.

Je pence que, comme j'ai déjà quatre partitions primaires, je ne peut pas avoir la cinquième !?!

puis dans cette partition etendue creer la partition logique necessaire ...
