Résolution trop petite
Bonjour,
J'ai un écran 19 pouces large (1440*900) mais Kubuntu me l'affiche en 1400*1050, et c'est la résolution maximale proposée dans les réglages du système !!!
J'ai eu exactement ce même phénomène sous Windows, mais pas sous Mandriva 2007.1 (que j'ai abandonné pour des problèmes de fiabilité...).
Il s'agit d'une machine qui date de 1999 (PIII 500MHz, 192 Mo de RAM, Carte video ATI), mais ça marchait très bien sous Mandriva...
Comment changer la résolution ?

Salut,
il faut éditer le Xorg.conf et mettre manuellement la résolution souhaitée.

tu rajoutes la définition que tu veux avec les autres par exemple tu remplaces tous les "1440x1440" par des "1440x900".

Pour ceux que ça intéresse :
Dans Konsole
sudo kwrite (pour se mettre en mode administrateur)
j'ouvre le fichier xorg.conf dans /etc/X11
je remplace comme a dit pohiohio
j'enregistre
je relance
c'est bon

Bonjour,
Je ne suis pas actuelement sous Ubuntu, chuis au boulot, alors je ne peux pas voir si ça marche ...
Je me demandais, est il possible de rajouter une résolution, plutot que de modifier ?? J'ai un peu le même probleme, sauf que moi je n'ai que deux toutes petites résolutions, genre 800x600 et 832x624... Ce n'est pas top du tout.

Je ne suis pas sous kde, mais si tu n'as pas les droits requis c'est qu'il te faut passer en mode super utilisateur (ou administrateur) avant d'utiliser kwrite.
Suis bien ce qu'a fait briceR. Le "sudo" devant l'ordre kwrite lui permet justement de passer en mode admin.

j'étais limité à 1024x728. J'ai fait ce qu'indique Pohiohio et ça marche.
