Problème d'effet 3d avec une Radeon Xpress 200G Series

Bonjour mon cousin veux se convertir a ubuntu, mais un problème l'en empêche.
Il a un Radeon Xpress 200G Series et il veut avoir les effets compiz. Quelqu'un pourrai m'expliquer ce qui est le mieu qu'il installe ( pilote proprio ou libre) et comment le faire.
J'ai deja regarder les tuto mais entre Envy, le pilote libre, et les pilote ATI direct je suis un peu perdu.
Moi qui ai une nvidia c'est beaucoup plus simple...

Salut,

Normalement le dernier pilote propriétaire ATI (alias fglrx) permet de faire fonctionner Compiz sans avoir de session XGL.

Voir ce sujet concernant des utilisateurs de cartes Xpress 200 qui font fonctionner Compiz ou Beryl.

Il te faudra, pour plus de facilité utiliser Envy. Mais ATTENTION de bien lire cette doc, car il y a des prérequis à l'installation, entre autres.

Si tu ne lis pas cette doc correctement, tu auras des problèmes lors de prochaines mises à jour des paquets système. Dans le cas contraire, tu sauras quoi faire.:cool:
