Problème résolution écran depuis migration vers ubuntu 12.10

bonjour

depuis cette mise à jour, les icones sont très gros et ma navigation sur le net est très compliqué car tout est énorme (raccourci, page de navigation)

voici les infos de ma carte graphique

c'est revenu après un redémarrage !!!!

Non, au départ, je n'avais que deux choix pour la résolution....

Cela doit venir de la carte graphique peut être ?
si je la change, que dois je faire pour la détecter svp ?

Si vous avez installé le pilote vidéo doit modifier xorg.conf je veux voir des xorg.conf s'il vous plaît.
nous avons donc passé pour moi, mais j'ai édité xorg.conf et chaque fois que je installer les pilotes avant de le redémarrer et tout est ok changement
ci-dessous pour ceux qui ont du mal que j'ai eu moniteurs LCD qui ne supportent pas plus de 1440x900.

finalement, reproblème, re résolution pourrit

Je ne trouve pas le fichier Xorg.conf.

j'ai essayer la procédure décrite ci-dessus, la réponse est sans cesse :

xserver-xorg-video-intel est déjà la plus récente version disponible.

si quelqu'un pouvait m'aider svp ?

Ta résolution actuellement sélectionnée est 1024x768 est-ce que ton affichage est pourri ?
Est que tu connais la résolution maximum de ton écran ? Sinon donne marque+modèle de l'ecran ou portable

oui les icones sont gros, l'affichage dans mozilla dépasse largement la fenetre.

c'est un ecran samsung, intel.

dans les parametres systemes, il n'est pas reconnu ...

Ok, donc d'après la doc que j'ai trouvé la résolution native de ton écran est 1280x1024 frequence 75hz.

Celle-ci n'étant pas listée on va donc la créer.

Tu tapes :

xrandr --newmode $(gtf 1280 1024 75 | sed -ne 's/"//g;s/ Modeline //p')

puis

xrandr --addmode VGA1 1280x1024_75

ensuite

xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024_75 --rate 75

Si ça marche, il faut la mettre en place au démarrage :

echo xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024_75 --rate 75 >> .xprofile

et

chmod +x .xprofile

Puis tu redémarre.

la 1ère commande passe bien mais les deux suivantes :

@ubuntu$xrandr --addmode VGA1 1280x1024_75
xrandr: cannot find mode "1280x1024_75"

@ubuntu$xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024_75 --rate 75
xrandr: cannot find mode 1280x1024_75

essaye comme ça :

xrandr --newmode $(gtf 1280 1024 75 | sed -ne 's/"//g;s/ Modeline //p')

j'ai mis la fréquence en décimale, p'tit oublis désolé roll

xrandr --addmode VGA1 1280x1024_75.00

ensuite

xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024_75.00 --rate 75

Si ça marche, il faut la mettre en place au démarrage :

echo xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024_75.00 --rate 75 >> .xprofile

et

chmod +x .xprofile

Puis tu redémarre.
Ca devrait fonctionner...

En fait c'est normal...l'ajout du mode n'est valable que pour la session en cours

Ouvre le fichier ~/.xprofile et remplace la ligne

xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024_75.00 --rate 75

par

xrandr --newmode $(gtf 1280 1024 75 | sed -ne 's/"//g;s/ Modeline //p')
xrandr --addmode VGA1 1280x1024_75.00
xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024_75.00 --rate 75

Redémarre et là ça devrait marcher du coup.

Les erreurs sont liées à gedit, rien à voir avec ton soucis.

Après démarrage donne le retour de xrandr et le contenu du fichier ~/.xsession-errors pour essayer de comprendre ce qui ce passe.

Sinon la doc française donne une autre méthode :

sudo gedit /etc/X11/Xsession.d/45x11-xrandr

et colle les mêmes lignes que précédement.

Supprime les 3 lignes que nous avons ajoutés dans le fichier .xprofile (si il n' y a que ça tu peux supprimer le fichier) avant de faire cette manip.

on va y arriver !!

Utilise les balises code pour poster ce genre de fichier ça evite d'avoir un post méga long wink
C'est le symbole <> dans la barre d'icone et tu colle ton texte entre.

Bon la seule chose que je vois concernant ton problème c'est qu'il n'arrive pas à récuperer les infos concernant ton écran, mais ça on le savait déjà smile
Dans les liens utiles de la doc y a ce petit script user friendly, qui pourrait simplifier grandement les choses plutot bien expliqué :

Le fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log peut nous donner des infos intérresantes, poste le contenu, si ça ne fonctionne toujours pas.
