[Réglé] Le Serveur X plante après mise à jour du driver nvidia

Bonjour à tous !

J'ai de gros problèmes avec mon serveur X à chaque fois que je mets à jour mon driver nvidia. Une nouvelle version Linux du driver proprio venant de sortir, je l'ai téléchargée et installée en tant que root.

L'installation s'est très bien déroulée. Evidemment, le programme n'a pas trouvé les informations de mon kernel, comme c'est précisé dans la doc, donc j'ai continué l'installation. Au moment de redémarrer le serveur X, j'ai une erreur. Voici la partie erronée du log (trop gros sinon) :

(EE) Failed to initialize GLX extension (Compatible NVIDIA X driver not found)

Lors de l'erreur j'ai visualisé le log qui disait quelque chose comme : "Error : no screen found"

Voici également mon xorg.conf tel qu'il est lorsque tout fonctionne (sinon j'utilise le driver "nv" au lieu de "nvidia")

J'ai ces problèmes à chaque fois, ils ne sont résolus que par la réinstallation des packages nvidia du synaptic...

Ok, je viens de tout recommencer depuis le départ, donc suppression totale des composants nvidia.

La solution pour éviter le problème du crash de X au démarrage consiste tout simplement à changer Driver         "nvidia" par Driver         "nv" AVANT de lancer l'installation du nouveau driver, puis le remettre à "nvidia" une fois installé.

Du coup tout fonctionne bien à présent, désolé pour le post inutile :$.
