error 17 après réinstallation windows

Salut,

Tout est dans le titre : après avoir réinstallé WINXP, j'ai suivi les tutos de la doc pour réinstaller grub et retrouver mon double boot. L'install de grub s'est déroulée normalement mais au redémarrage, si je choisis ubuntu j'obtiens une erreur 17 et un message m'informant qu'il est impossible de monter la partition concernée.
J'ai cherché sur différents forums et si je comprends bien, l'install d'XP a dû modifier quelque chose dans la table des partitions qui fait que les infos dont grub disposent ne lui permettent plus de démarrer gnu/linux. Mais je ne sais pas vraiment comment me tirer de ce mauvais pas.

Une idée quelqu'un?

Déjà depuis un livecd poste le résultat de :
sudo fdisk -l puis tu montes la partition / :
sudo umount -a
sudo mount /dev/hdxy  /mnt où xy correspondent à ta partition /
puis tu listes les fichiers :
/mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst et
/mnt/etc/fstab
Tu listes aussi le résultat de :
sudo  ls  -l  /dev/disk/by-uuid/

Il suffit de modifier dans ton fichier menu.lst :
# groot (hd0,1) par
# groot (hd0,2) et toutes les lignes :
root (hd0,1) par
root (hd0,2)

Puis de reboot et çà devrait rouler
