DRIVER HP Scanjet 4890 pour Ubuntu 12.04

Bonjour

    J'ai un scanner à plat HP Scanjet 4890 que j'aimerai faire fonctionner sous Ubuntu 12.04
    Il n'est même pas reconnu quand je le branche et que je lance scan
    Actuellement je continue de l'utiliser avec mon vieux compaq sous XP mais quid quand celui-ci rendra l''âme ?

  Je suis preneur de toute info

D'abord il faut regarder si ton scanner est supporté par HPLIP: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/su … index.html

ou par SANE : http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html

Pas de chance :
ScanJet 4890C     USB     0x03f0/0x1b05     Unsupported     GL843, maybe can be added to genesys backend     unsupported (2010-06-09)     ?

C'est à tester, le fichier /etc/sane.d/genesys.conf peut être modifié pour ajouter des scanners (source)
Il doit falloir ajouter le PID et le VID dedans pour tester.

Tu lances "lsusb" avec ton scanner branché, ça va te donner des lignes comme ça:

Bus 003 Device 002: ID 06f8:300e Guillemot Corp.

Il y en aura une où il y aura marqué HP scanner ou quelque chose comme ça.
Tu notes le VID:PID, les deux nombres hexa à coté de ID (ici 06f8:300e) et tu rajoutes une ligne avec tes VID et PID dans le fichier genesys.conf sous la forme:

usb 0x06f8 0x300e

Tu redémarres le PC et tu testes...

Il me reste à trouver le fichier genesys.conf
Comment je fais ?

gksu gedit /etc/sane.d/genesys.conf

Tu ajoutes cette ligne

usb 0x03f0 0x1b05

Scan jet 4890 est bien là

mais après avoir éteint et allumer mon pc et lance un scan  il me signale toujours qu'aucun scanner n'est détecté

Excuser moi de relancer le sujet
Mais j'ai un super scanner que je n'arrive toujours pas à faire  fonctionner sous Ubuntu
Est ce une cause perdue ?
Je préfère apprendre qu'il n'y a pas de solution que de rester dans le doute

Est ce que tu as essayé les commandes de base de détection des scanners : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/scanner_usb_non_reconnu
