ultra portables msi (s250 - s260 -S270 )

ces portables sont quasiments les seuls a pouvoir etre achetés sans windows ,mais l'installation de linux reste problématique a l'heure actuelle , afin de ne pas trop s'éparpiller,
merci de poster ici pour les problemes (et les solutions) spécifiques a ces magnifiques machines.

Re bonjou gar,

Mon prochain portable : sans doute MSI S270 prochainement, cette config me plairait bien :

Turion MT30 (1.6 Ghz - 25W) + WIFI + BT + 1G DDR + DD 80Go avec batterie 8 cellules .

Seul problème, jusqu'à aujourd'hui, à part un AMD Athlon XP 2600+ sur 1 PC de bureau (qui m'a un peu déçu) et un AMD Athlon 1600+ sur un portable Acer 1310 (suffisant pour la bureautique), j'ai toujours utilisé des Intel Pentium (en ce moment des P4 C 2.8Ghz et 3.0Ghz).
Mais le Turion MT30 a l'air vraiment bien... Question T° et rapidité, t'en penses quoi ?
Je crois que je vais me laisser tenter smile:)

ben oui ,tu as vu , on en est quand meme a compiler un noyau pour que ça marche , on tape dans le tas quoi ! alors j'essaie de faire en sorte que l'info passe entre les gens qui ont ce portable ,vu que je ne suis pas capable de tout faire fonctionner tout seul ( 3 mois de linux lol )

sinon pour ce qui est du portable en lui meme , je pense qu'il vaut mieux en parler sur le forum hardware , et consacrer celui-ci a l'installation de linux en elle meme , histoire de pas trop polluer les différents posts

mais bon vite fait la comme ça : l'écran 16/9 en 12 pouces c'est la classe cool , niveau rapidité , j'aurait pas du prendre de la mémoire noname roll  , ça se ressens  et température :le disque dur chauffe mai c'est raisonnable , je ne crains pas de problemes a ce niveau la (ni a d'autres non plus) ,mais ça reste mon avis ..


voila , la je suis sur une demudi avec un noyau 2.6.14 installé avec apt-get , et ben le son ne marche pas , mais bon de toute façon le systeme en lui meme ne me plait pas des masses ,meme si c'est tres proche de ubuntu voila , encore un test a l'arrache !!
je réinstalle ubuntu ...:lol:

Tu veut pas 2*256 ddr sodimm Twinmos par hasard :]

Sinon avec le 2.6.14.2 :
son -> ok
usb -> ok
driver ati -> ko, il trouve pu ma carte hmm

Je refait mon partitionement, install d'un win et je reinstall breezy pour voir ca :]

juste 2 mots, sur linux depuis environ 4 ans et certainement moins à l'aise que toi, d'après ce que j'ai lu.

mettre internal agp part "no" dans le xorg .conf


euuuh edit : ben ça marche aussi en mettant le internal agp part sur on , meme mieu donc ce n'est pas ça qui a réglé le probleme hmm
je ne tiens pas trop a bidouiller a nouveau pour savoir comment j'ai réussi , les derniers trucs qui m'on semblés pouvoir le regler sont de recompiler le module fglrx (et puis il était question d'enlever l'ancien qui marchait pas ..) , dommage ,pour une foi qu'une de mes bidouilles à l'arrache fonctionne , je m'en souvient plus lol ,bon nii si tu repasse par la :

Je continue ici mon post

Pour rappel j'ai un msi s250 et j'ai eu des probleme après une install, pas de son, pas d'usb, pas de wifi !!!


En fait j'ai reinstaller ubuntu, et ca a règlé tout mes prob :

En faisant un dmesg, j'ai remarquer que l'apci merdait lorsque je branchait ma cle usb, donc j'ai reinstaller ubuntu avec la cle brancher lors de l'install, (pour qu'il detecte le periph) et avec l'option apci=off

après installation, l'usb fonctionne !!


Pour le son, en fait il fonctionne, mais que avec une paire d'ecouteur dans la jack (en fait je pense que ca fonctionne aussi avec les haut parleurs du pc, mais le son est tellement faible qu'on entend rien car :
- avec windows et avec ma paire d'ecouteur, j'etais obliger de mettre le volume sur le premier cran au dessus d'un volume nul pour avoir un son deja un peu trop fort dans ma paire d'ecouteur, alors que pour le meme reglage, lorsque je testais sur les HP, j'entendais à peine le son; donc ici avec linux avec le son à fond, j'entend à peine dans ma paires d'ecouteur, donc je pense que c'est trop faible pour les HP

Donc j'aimerais savoir si il existe un equalizer pour augmenter l'amplification ou modifier un parametre de linux pour augmenter la puissance de sortie du son (peut etre dans alsa)





Pour le wifi :
En fait le probleme venait du fait que linux chargeait les driver prism54 pour ma carte, et elle n'est pas compatible avec, donc ma solution a été

sudo modprobe -r prism54
sudo ndiswrapper -i pilote.inf   (j'ai utiliser les prism et non pas les rt2500, qui ne fonctionne pas)
sudo ndiswrapper -l     (pour verifier)
sudo ndiswrapper -m
sudo modprobe ndiswrapper

et là wlan0 se charge, puis je passe dans la panneau de config d'ubuntu, ou j'essaye des
sudo ifup wlan0

Après ces solutions: j'ai tout de même quelque questions :

Comment desactiver definitivement prism 54 ??? (le desinstaller)

Comment augmenter la puissance sonore en sortie ??

Existe-t-il une commande comme netsend, qui permet d'envoyer un message à une machine windows (je dis bien windows) sur le reseau ??? smbclient -M ???

pour le prism54 , je ne sais pas , désolé ..
pour la commande netsend , je ne sais pas non plus , mais va voir dans le wiki ...

et enfin pour le son : c'est le meme probleme qu'avec le s270 !
nous avons réussi a le regler en passant au noyau 2.6.14 , c'est sur ce noyau que sont apparus les problemes d'usb que l'on corrige avec irqpoll , le dernier point que je viens de réussir a regler concernait les drivers proprios ati ..

ah ben j'ai telecharger breezy stable (je ne sais pas quel est le noyau, c'est ubuntu 5.10 je crois)

pour l'affichage j'ai du sis 661mx, je testerais ce WE, il y a peut etre une solution !

en recompilant le noyau , ma carte son est détectée .. mais je ne sait pas trop quoi répondre d'autre .. roll

Oui mais attention mon portable est un s250 basé, sur des chipest sis !!

(alors que le s260 est plutot chipset intel, et le s270 plutot ati)

Le s250 est sorti il yt a environ 1 an en france !!

Et j'ai bien du sis en chipset graphique / sonore , etc
Par contre le cpu est un celeron M

Pour le fait de recompiler, je ne comprend pas tellement en quoi ca consiste, ni à quoi ca sert (je xomprend le mot compilet, mais recompiler le noyau ne veut rien dire pour moi) : Je viens d'un monde windows, et quand j'installe windows, pas besoin de recompiler !

sur le site français MSI, il ne parle pas de fournir des PC sans OS.

Ou avez-vous trouvé l'info?? Quel est le prix sans OS ?

Heu personnellement je l'ai acheté avec w$ et j'ai formaté big_smile

Bon le mien c'est le medion sim 2000 (exactement pareil que le msi s250) et livré avec w$ Home

Mais tu peux acheté le msi s2x0 en version démonté sans OS sur plusieurs sites de ventes (va voir sur les forum su tt hardware correspondant à ces portables)

Edit : Je suppose qu'il les trouve tout seul vu qu'on compile le kernel.
Maintenant autre question, en 2.6.14.2 quand je fait mon xorg.conf avec fglrxconfig il trouve pas ma carte :x.
J'ai piquer ton xorg.conf et ca marche a 841fps avec glxgears et 170 avs fgl_glxgears smile
Mais ca m'intrigue le faite qu'il ne trouve pas ma carte :x

@Gar : J'ai essayé ton Xorg.conf, il fonctionne mais je n'ai que 450fps, et toujour pas de direct rendering. Quel version des driver ATI uilise tu? quel noyau? en 32 ou 64 bit? Est-ce que tu pourrai poster le .config de ton noyau? merci d'avance.

il faut que tu compile le fglrx , je ne retrouve par le site ou j'ai trouvé l'info,
il faut effacer fglrx.ko et aller dans /lib/modules pour lancer la compilation de fglrx , dès que je retrouve le site ou j'ai vu ça , je te donne le lien.
mais il ne trouve pas ma carte non plus , d'ailleurs j'ai aussi qes problemes avec mon lec teur dvd ,ma compile ne doit pas etre bonne ...j'ai install win pour vérifier et il fonctionne donc...je ne suis vraiment pas un kernel-hacker !
en fait je me suis contenté de reprendre les options du noyau ubuntu et j'ai tout laisser en place...mauvaise solution je présume

Dans notre cas nous recompilons le noyau soit parce qu'une version plus récente ajoute des drivers (pilotes) pour notre matériel récent qui n'était pas supporté par la version que nous utilisons
ou alors
parce qu'une partie (un module par exemple) du noyau n'était pas compilée et que l'on souhaite l'utiliser.

Gar : merci pour l'info, ça n'a rien d'urgent, au moins je sais pourquoi j'ai des soucis.

arf vien de voir que j'ai oublier plein de chose dans le kernel ><, je recompile et je test ca

J'ai vu une option dans le xorg.conf aussi :

Option		"BusType"	"PCIE"

Je test apres avoir fini le compilation :]

EDIT : j'ai eu un saut a 930 fps et c'est redescendu a 852 comme avant -_____-
Sinon l'option change rien pour moi. Je retesterai avec 1go de ram, j'ai 704 en ce moment hmm

question -> ou on peut voir les frequence utiliser pour la carte ?

J'ai remarquer aussi que sur tout les jeux il n'y avait pas de son. Mais lorsque que l'on les lance via un terminal, la premiere fois il n'y a pas de son, mais apres si :x.

recherche le tuto de ploum ,pour le son il est super bien fait , sinon, régulierement mon ecran "flippe" : il saute a moitié ... mad , il ne l fait pas sous win , ça doit etre un probleme logiciel , il fait ça aussi chez toi ?
