C'est un gars qui a publié ce tableau comparatif sur les trois derniers mois sur le forum de phoronix.
Other on sait pas ce que c'est. Certains suppose que c'est le reste de Linux.

Mais je comprends pas pourquoi on a 2,02 % pour Linux et 2,84 % pour Linux + other si c'est aussi du Linux...

Si on additionne ce qu'il y a en bas (les différents Linux : Ubuntu, Mint...), on a l'air d'arriver à ce 2,84 % qui serait donc le nombre à prendre en compte ?

Perso je préfère ne pas les compter. En tout cas à ce rythme, dans deux ou 3 mois on aura dépassé les utilisateur d'OSX.

On sait pas ce que c'est le Other. Celui qui a compilé les chiffres à fait ça à titre indicatif je suppose.

Tu as raison, laissons encore un peu de temps, beaucoup d'autre distribution ne sont pas encore compatible avec steam (la mienne en fait partie, ça marche, mais pas à 100%). Berf, ça ne peut qu'augmenter… Très bon début en tout cas, je suis surpris.

Concernant les statistiques, il faut prendre en compte quelques paramètres :
- la version stable a été officialisé mi-février. Ainsi début février, on devait avoir en moyenne les mêmes chiffres que ceux de janvier (~1,2%). On peut donc imaginer qu'il y a environ 3% fin février (pour avoir une moyenne de 2% sur tout le mois).
- l'effet de nouveauté : on peut imaginer que des curieux non-joueurs ont fait gonfler les chiffres.
- "other" : pour comprendre ce qu'est "other", il faudrait voir à quel pourcentage était other avant l'arrivé de linux dans steam. Autre hypothèse : wine ferait-il partie de other ?

Je pense que fin mars on aura vraiment les stats du démarrage de linux dans steam.


@ noireaude : si t'es fan de gedit, je te conseille de jeter un œil à Vim (un brin plus complet quand même).

Par rapport au other...

Dans ces stats on peut choisir les "stats windows only", "stats mac only" ou "stats windows + mac", linux étant compté comme "windows", au mois dernier en metant "stats windows only" on voyait déjà Mint sortir de other, il représentait 0.10% des "windows", il y a donc quelques nunux qui se cachent dedans, mais il est très probables qu'on y trouve aussi ios et android...


Confortablement installée dans la sécurité d'un soyeux cocon d'ennui…

Quand on sait à quoi ressemble Steam sur iOS et Android, on peut penser qu'ils ne doivent pas rentrer dans les chiffres. Il y a juste le chat et la boutique.

Ce qui est intéressant dans l'article c'est qu'on apprend que si on à acheté un jeux sous windows et qu'on y joue sous windows dans les stats de vente apparaîtra l'os sur lequel on à jouer le plus longtemps.

Il a l'air, oui, si on met de côté les problèmes de gameplay et le côté répétitif (obligation de faire le jeu trois fois si on veut voir les zones de tous les personnages tout en se retapant les zones communes).

Non mais c'est juste qu'il est décevant par rapport aux promesses. Bon, je n'y ai pas joué, je retranscris juste les échos que j'ai eus (et le "Chez Marcus" que j'ai vu). C'est certainement pas un mauvais jeu. Enfin bon, moi j'attends une promo pour le prendre.

Pour y avoir joué, je confirme qu'il est répétitif à la longue. Ce n'est pas un indispensable, mais ça reste un jeu agréable et rempli d'humour.
Si vous doutez, attendez qu'il soit soldé sur Steam.

-80 % sur tous les Serious Sam jusqu'à demain 19 h, ce qui fait SS3 à 8 €. Il me semble qu'il existe un installeur Linux pour le 2 (mais je ne sais pas s'il est compatible avec la version Steam).

Ça vient peut-être du fait que ton dossier Stem est dans /media. Apparemment, Steam est un peu tatillon et s'attend à le trouver soit à ~/.local/share/Steam, soit à ~/Steam. Et bien sûr, il veut du chemin en dur, pas de liens symboliques.

J'utilisais le lien symbolique a la sortie beta, mais la je gère avec les paramètres de Steam
Et Counter strike source est dans son donc par défaut pour tester ça justement

C'est bizarre quand même qu'il t'indique que tu as une vieille version d'OpenGL, etc. Tu as bien la CG qu'il reconnaît (GeForce GTX 560), avec le pilote nVidia proprio ? pas de système à la con du genre Optimus ?
Ta partition /media/steam_linux utilise bien un système de fichiers Linux, c'est pas du FAT/NTFS ?

C'est un fix avec une gtx560 donc pas d'optimus et pilote ... proprio. Partoche réalisé pour l’occase en etx4. le mount peut être, je suis pas doué pour ça...
