boot cd lenovo ideapad g580

Bonjour,
Je voudrais faire un dual boot avec windows 8 et ubuntu sur mon PC, mais il ne me laisse pas booter sur une clé live et sur un DVD aussi:(
Windows est instalé en EFI(techno pourrie). j'attends vos réponses.

Regardes dans ton bios si tu peux désactiver le "secure boot". smile

L'erreur est humaine...
Si votre PC plante, c'est qu'il est humain :D

Je viens de faire des recherches dans Google sur ce g580 et il semble qu'il y ait des soucis pour installer Ubuntu là-dedans. Je te suggère de passer provisoirement le réglage en mode Bios au lieu de UEFI dans ton "Bios" afin de voir si tu réussis à démarrer sur ton support live (choix Essayer). Je ne te dis pas de tenter d'installer mais juste d'essayer en session live et si ça marche de répondre à cette demande : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/boot-info

3 quest: 1) le bootbios (pas en efi)
j'ai une entrée ubuntu ds le loader windows je peux boot le cd dedans ? 3)Il refuse GATEGORIQUEMENT de booter sur quoi que e soit qui ressemble de près ou de loin à un USB ou un DVD, C'est W8 ?
ps: je me suis gouré, j'ai le X86 et pas le X64.

Je viens de faire une installa dual boot sur ce portable si cela t'intéresse...

- passer dans le bios le boot a legacy
- une fois enregistré, rebooter, retourner sur le bios et là dans la partie boot, tu peux régler le boot principal sur le lecteur cd (par défaut, c'est le disque dur)
- une fois enregistré et rebooter, tu peux mettre ton live cd et commencer une install.
- pour info j'ai suivi ce tuto  http://adrienb.fr/blog/2012/11/09/dual- … untu-1210/ enplus  de ceux du site.
- perso j'avais eu un problème de partition au départ, donc au final j'ai shooté toutes les parititions lenovo, du coup j'ai refait une installe propre de windows 8 à la mano et ensuite j'ai suivi ce tuto.
- tu auras surement un problème de wifi comme moi et un autre de carte ethernet, qui se résout en utilisant les pilotes alx pour la carte filaire.
- pour le wifi j'attends tjs de l'aide sur le forum wifi ^^

edit : Pour les problèmes de wifi sur ce portable, j'ai ouvert ce sujet, si jamais tu rencontres des problèmes ou si chez toi tu y arrives.

Bon, j'ai (enfin) réussi a mettre Ubuntu 12.04.2, mais je branche mon 2eme écran et la beug de carte graphique, bon, tente de réinstaller Ubuntu, Ils enterraient GRUB! Help me please...:/:(

Je possède aussi le lenovo G580 mais je me retrouve coincé car pour booter sur le DVD secure linux 64 bits la seul solution que j'ai est de désactivé le UEFI et de passer en legacy.
Cependant, selon la doc, si on a un WIN8 en UEFI il faut installer Ubuntu en UEFI aussi si on veut garder un dual boot win8/ubuntu
Et concernant la solution de Freedomxmm, comme j'ai acheté le PC préinstallé WIN8 chez Media Markt je n'ai pas les CD d'installation avec moi pour refaire un installation a la mano.
Donc mis a part acheter un autre PC pour le faire full ubuntu je n'ai pas de solution.
Si l'un de vous a une idée je suis preneur.

Si tu n'utilises quasiment pas Windows 8, c'est possible d'avoir Windows 8 en UEFI et Ubuntu en non-EFI : ton "Bios" est alors paramétré sur le mode Legacy (mode non-EFI) pour utiliser Ubuntu et le jour où tu as un besoin exceptionnel d'utiliser Windows 8, tu vas dans le "Bios" pour paramétrer mode UEFI au lieu de mode Legacy et tu vas pouvoir démarrer Windows 8. Cela me semble peu contraignant.
Par contre, si tu dois utiliser fréquemment Windows 8, ce serait une contrainte importante à mon avis d'avoir à passer par le "Bios" à chaque fois que tu veux passer d'un OS à l'autre et c'est raison pour laquelle la doc sensibilise sur l'intérêt d'avoir les deux OS installés dans le même mode (soit tous les deux en UEFI, soit tous les deux en non-EFI). Mais si cette contrainte d'avoir à passer par le "Bios" est acceptable pour toi, tu peux vivre comme ça.

Je vais te dire ce que je comprends (si ce n'est pas ça, dis-le) : tu crains que passer trop fréquemment du mode EFI au mode non-EFI pourrait fragiliser la santé de ton Ubuntu ou de ton Windows. Ma réponse : en théorie, il n'y a pas de raison de craindre ça. La seule chose que je peux admettre, c'est qu'intervenir dans le Bios c'est prendre le risque d'y faire des bêtises. Mais bon, tu n’as pas 4 ans et si tu dois intervenir sur un seul et unique paramètre (UEFI/Legacy) et sortir de là, il n'y a pas de raison de foutre la pagaille dans le Bios.

Voila j'ecris ce message a partir de la partition Ubuntu installée sur mon PC.
En fait je viens d'apprendre aujourd'hui via le post suivant

que l'iso du site ubuntu.com pouvait s'installer en UEFI alors que le secure Linux non (ce qui était mon cas)
J'ai donc tenté ma chance.
-Download de la LTS12.04 direct de ubuntu.com
-graver un DVD (juste trop court pour un CD)
-créer une partition sur Windows en raccourcissant mon C:
-placer le DVD dans le drive et redémarrer Win8 avec la touche shift enfoncée ce qui permet de démarrer en ayant accès au bios
La il me demande sur quoi je veux booter et je choisis le lecteur DVD et miracle il le détecte cette fois
Je fais d'abord un petit essai, juste pour vérifier que le réseau filaire fonctionne ( au moins).
Je lance l'install. Il faut tout tout seul. Un peu de stress car il ne me demande pas de lui spécifier une partition ou de definir le swap,...Il détecte la partition de libre et il lance l'install. Désolé si mes références sont vieilles mais ma dernière install d'Ubuntu remonte a 2007.
L'install est finie et je reboote un peu stressé.
Hourra il y a un grub qui me propose Ubuntu, Ubuntu recover, windows, ... et un dernier choix "system set up".
Le choix Windows 8 ne marche pas....Argh
Je choisis donc system setup en croisant les doigts et la je tombe sur une fenetre style bios ou il me propose une liste pour booter. le premier choix etant Ubuntu le deuxieme etant mon disque dur windows et puis, DVD,...
Je choisis le disque dur contenant Windows et la mon windows 8 redémarre comme si de rien n’était et tout a l'air de fonctionné.
Je touche du bois.

Au paragraphe 3. Téléchargement de Linux Secure Remix, on voit une note qui dit : "...Pour les ordis préinstallés Windows 8, l'installation de Ubuntu en dual-boot impose d'utiliser la version 64 bits". Es-tu bien sûr d'avoir téléchargé la version 64 bits de Linux Secure Remix ? Parce que si c'est la version 32 bits, ça expliquerait complètement tes ennuis.

C'est un bug de Grub (Bug #807801) qui a été résolu pour Ubuntu 13.10 mais qui affecte encore Precise. Pour la toute nouvelle version Ubuntu 13.10, le choix Windows 8 est fonctionnel.

Oui, dans un système UEFI, c'est le système UEFI lui même qui est sensé gérer le multi-boot de la façon que tu as décrite. Ce que tu peux faire si l'ordi est utilisé principalement sur Windows 8, c'est mettre la priorité de boot sur Windows 8 et du coup ça démarrera par défaut sur Windows 8 et c'est seulement quand tu voudras lancer Ubuntu que tu seras obligé de passer par l'UEFI (system setup). Mais si c'est Ubuntu que tu vas utiliser le plus, tu n'as rien à modifier.

Edit : pourrais-tu poster ton Boot-Info pour que je puisse vérifier ton installation ?
Mais au lieu de faire ce Boot-Info depuis une session live comme c'est proposé à l'étape 1, tu peux le faire depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé sur le disque dur.

Bizarre car je suis sur d'avoir téléchargé la version 64 bits de secure remix. Justement parce que j'avais lu ton commentaire concernant cette erreur
Concernant le bug dans Grub, ca me va comme cela. La version12.04 LTs me convient et je crois que je vais rester dessus le maximum de temps. Je me souviens quil ya quelques années j'avais pas mal foutu la merde sur le PC en voulant chipoter pas mal au niveau des installations, des upgrades,...
Ici je garde la LTS peinard et je me concentre sur la decouverte des softs: photo, audacity, libre office,...
Ma prochaine étape est de créer un user pour ma femme et lui dire de surfer sur la partition Ubuntu. Le but etant d'etre plus souvent sous Ubuntu que sur Windows.
De toutes facons tous les disques dur et donc les data coté windows sont accessibles sans problemes ( oui je sais ca parait trivial mais il y a 6 ans ca ne l'etait pas). Je garde d'ailleurs mes data stockées "de ce coté la" par facilité.
je t'envoie le boot info ce soir.
En tout cas je ne savais windows 8 aussi puissant : avoir pu faire céder mes différentes barrières de procrastination, fainéantise, "et si je pète tout le PC", "je suis trop vieux pour ces conneries", "j'ai mieux a faire", .... et tout cela en moins de 7 semaines (date de l'achat de mon nouveau PC) je dis bravo!

Tu as une installation parfaite de Ubuntu en UEFI et en plus, on peut lire ici que tu aurais Secure Boot activé dans le "Bios" (tu peux confirmer?) :

Je te prie de faire une petite manip pour vérifier un point particulier : quand tu vois le menu Grub au démarrage, appuie sur la touche C pour obtenir une invite de commande dans laquelle tu peux taper "exit" (sans les guillemets) et valider par la touche Entrée. En principe, ça devrait te ramener au "Boot Manager" de ton système UEFI (là où l'UEFI te propose une liste pour booter) et tu pourrais sélectionner "Windows Boot Manager" dans le menu et démarrer Windows 8 comme ça. Peux-tu essayer et raconter ?

J'ai fait ce que tu as dis et e, fait après le exit je retombe sur le choix grub.
J'ai verifier et mon secure boot est toujours enabled.
Meme si mon système est OK, je vois quand meme des fenetres apparaitre de prompt pendant 1 ou 2 secondes avec des erreurs et puis je retombe sur ma fenetre de login.
J'ai aussi des soucis comme
-meme si je me log sans password, une fois loguer j'ai une alerte en anglais après une minute comme quoi je dois rentrer mon password " Unlock your log in keyring"

Y doit y avoir des syslog a consulter quelque part je suppose

Merci d'avoir fait la manip avec "exit" : décidément, elle ne fonctionne pas chez tout le monde....
j'ai bien noté que tu as vérifié que Secure boot est activé dans ton système UEFI. Il y a des ordis dans lesquels ce n'est pas possible : tu dois avoir système UEFI bien conçu.
Pour ton souci avec le password, je suppose que c'est parce que tu te connectes en WiFi à internet. Tu peux confirmer ?

Moi, je ne connais pas ce problème parce que j'utilise systématiquement une connexion à la session avec password. Peut-être quelqu'un pourra te donner une piste sur ce sujet..
