Bonsoir !
Je viens de recevoir, aujourd'hui mon portable Windows 8
marqué clévo dessous
livré avec le dvd de Windows 8

bon je ne suis pas encore arrivé bien loin ,je vais d'abord m 'occuper de Windows
que j'ai aussi besoin, et j' attends un DD externe pour faire des sauvegardes !
a première vue il contient 3 partitions principales
une réservée au système 350 M°
la partition( C )179,75 G°
et une partition de donnée
en fin de disque 265,66 G°
qui ne contient rien !
j'ai grave Ubuntu 13.03
http://releases.ubuntu.com/13.04/
je met dans le lecteur cd, et voila partis directement sur Ubuntu 13.04
qui s'affiche rapidement !
j’essaierai de faire l'installe dés que j'aurais fait mes sauvegardes Windows

Commence en session LiveCD (ou LiveUSB) puis ouvre un terminal (ctrl+alt+t) et tape à l'intérieur
sudo fdisk -l
PC fixe sous Bionic 64 bits et portable avec Focal 64 bits

Bon, effectivement ton disque ne contient que 3 partitions; C'est important de le vérifier depuis Ubuntu car certaines partitions ne sont pas vues par Windows et une partition de plus peut tout changer.
Ce que l'on peut te conseiller :
1) Réduire la partition sda3 par la droite pour dégager un espace non partitionné d'une centaine de Go.
2) Avec gparted, créer une partition étendue à partir de cet espace
3) Toujours avec gparted créer une partition logique de 15-20 Gio en ext4 destiné au système ubuntu
4) Toujours avec gparted créer une partition logique de la taille de ta ram Linux-swap
5) Utiliser le reste de l'espace pour une partition en ext4 destinée à tes données linux (le futur /home)
Procéder à l'installation manuelle (autre) en précisant les partitions à utiliser, les systèmes de fichiers et les points de montage (/ pour le système et /home pour les données).
PC fixe sous Bionic 64 bits et portable avec Focal 64 bits

en mode classique(non efi )

Je vois que vous avez installé la 12.10 (Quantal) et non la 13.04 ? pour le reste EFI/UEFI etc.... je laisse des pros vous répondre

Hello!
Je ne suis pas un expert mais d'après le boot info je n'ai pas l'impression que Win8 soit installé en mode UEFI, on ne voit pas les fichiers efi de boot...Est ce que quelqu'un peut confirmer?

Je viens de faire une cession en live cd gparted
et il est bien indiqué (table de partition ,ms dos )
et aucune partition efi en vue !
je signale que je n'ai pas installé Ubuntu pour l'insant
la 12.10 (Quantal) et non la 13.04 que l'on apercois
c'est en faisant mon boot info !
quels conseils me donez vous ?
Je trouve bizare que Windows 8 a été installé de cette façon ?
mais il sagit de machine clévo qui sont assemblées d'aprés le constructeur
a la demande des clients !
Moi j'ai demandé un Widows 8 c'est tout !

LDLC vends des ordinateurs sans OS installé !
je pense qu'il sagit d'une machine de ce genre ,
avec Windows 8 installé !
dans un sens je pense que je devrais pouvoir instaler Ubuntu sans problémes
par contre que faut il regardér dns le bios pour voir, si il y a le sécure boot
et savoir a quel bios j'ai affaire ?

Quand tu installeras Ubuntu, tu feras bien attention que l'ordi soit démarré sur le support live en mode Bios (et pas en mode EFI). La doc indique le moyen de l'identifier ("mode Bios", c'est pareil que "mode classique", "mode non-EFI" ou "Legacy mode") : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/efi#identifier … n_mode_efi

pour l'instant le cd se charge en mode bios ,donc je ferais l'installation
avec le dvd de Ubuntu ,comme cela pas de problémes ?
et met Grub sur dev/sda ?
Par contre l'anglais et moi (pas trop copains )
dans c'est circonstances, je préférerai installer la version Française si possible ?
soit la 12.04 que j'aime bien et qui est LTS a défault la 12.10
si je pouvais avoir les liens de la 12.04 Française ?
Et ma question pour le Bios ?
En fait je fais l'instal comme je l'ai toujours fait j'usqu'a maintenant ?

Tu ferais bien de faire en plus, une image du disque dur interne complet avec Clonezilla : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=433035
Compte-tenu de la faible occupation du disque dur actuelle (environ 20 Go), ça pourrait faire une image qui tienne dans 15 Go environ, ce qui est très peu et ça te permettrait de remettre complètement ton ordi dans l'état d'origine (en cas de revente ou de don à quelqu'un, ça serait utile)

J'ai recu mon DD externe usb3 , je vais faire une sauvegarde avec le logiciél incorporé
a Winwdows, et tu me donne une bonne idée , j'ai déja utilisé Clonezilla , il y a pas mal de temps !
2 précautons c'est encore mieux !
Autre chose, j'ai eut dans le passé un ordi tatoué ,et j'utilisais, easyBCD.et installais Ubuntu
en dev3 sur la partition racine , cela avait aussi l'avantage que je pouvais faire des sauvegardes Windows
et les réinstaller sans affecter grub !
et aussi de changer de version d'Ubuntu sans embéter son voisin !
Je pense que tu n'est pas pour cette méthode, mais dans mon cas Windows 8 en MBR
je pense que easyBCD ,pourrait marcher
Si tu peut me donner ton avis je t'en remercie

A ma connaissance*, c'est possible en théorie d'utiliser EasyBCD quand Windows et Ubuntu sont installés en mode Bios (non-EFI). Par contre, je ne saurai pas t'aider à faire cela car je ne pratique pas cette technique que je trouve bien inférieure celle qui consiste à laisser à Grub la gestion du multi-boot. Mais certains pourront peut-être t'aider si tu as des difficultés.

j'ai pris le temps d'étoffer mon Windows 8,qui est fourni avec le dvd de Windows 8, mais aucun autre logiciel
ce qui dans un certain sens m'arrange car , je n'ai installé que ce que j'ai réellement besoin !
puis j’ai fait des sauvegardes , avec l’outil de Windows 8, qui est le même que celui de Windows 7
sur un dd externe !
ensuite j'ai refais d'autres sauvegardes avec clonezilla selon les conseils de malbo !

Je signale que clonézilla est un superbe outil , je l'ai testé en premier sur mon vieux portable Hp
qui est en double boot Windows XP, xubuntu, j'ai fait mes premiers essais de copie de Windowx XP puis sa réinstallation
aucun problème !
Pour résumer je viens d'installer a l'instant Ubuntu 12.04.2 64 bits
aucun problème pour l'installation ,pour l'instant je n'ai pas encore eut le temps de tout voir
mais je peut dire que la wifi est reconnue sans problèmes !

N'hésite pas à le mettre à l'épreuve ce Clonezilla : moi quand je fais une image, je la restaure immédiatement afin d'être certain que l'image que je conserve n'est pas boguée. J'ai toujours fait comme ça systématiquement. Cela peut paraître excessif mais à quoi ça sert de conserver une image si on n'est pas complètement certain qu'elle est bonne et qu'on est bien capable de la restaurer avec 100% de réussite ? Comme je ne suis pas suicidaire, je conserve toujours la dernière image et l'avant-dernière. Comme ça si un jour j'ai le malheur d'échouer à restaurer la dernière image que je viens de créer (ce qui ne m'est jamais arrivé avec Clonezilla mais qui m'était arrivé quelques fois avec certain logiciel de création d'image disque), je peux toujours restaurer l'avant-dernière : j'aurai perdu des choses en route mais je n'aurai pas tout perdu.

Il n'y a pas d'anomalie dans ce Boot-Info. C'est du bon travail et un exemple d'installation réussie d'un dual-boot Windows 8 / Ubuntu 12.04.2 pour ceux qui achèteront un LDLC Aurore BB5-I3-4-H5-H8 Slim

je voulais simplement signaler que je suis passé en 13.04 cet après midi
Le pilote intel ivy bridge mobile est installé !
et le résultat est bien meilleur qu'avec la 12.04 pour le refroidissement
et la 3 D
