[Résolu] Dual boot 12.10/W8 cassé...
Bonjour,
Le dual boot de mon pc ne fonctionne plus
PC Asus N76VJ avec cette m... d'UEFI
J'ai tenté plusieurs fois une réparation avec boot-repair-disk sans succès.
J'ai tenté de rédémarrer vers W8 avec le cd de réparation sans succès...
Lors des étapes de réparations il m'est dit que celui-ci est en mode Legacy et non EFI...
J'ai beau avoir parcouru le bios en long et en large, je ne vois pas quel réglage de paramètre modifié.
Résultats des courses:
le menu Grub me montre bien Ubuntu (qui fonctionne)
Tous les autres chemins vers W8 sont non valides (Fichiers EFI/Microsoft... EFI/boot... introuvables, pas de commande "drivemap" ou invalide EFI file path)

j'ai besoin de complément d'info :
1) ton titre contient "13.04/W" mais dans le rapport Boot-Info, je ne vois que Ubuntu 12.10 comme en atteste cet extrait :

2) Dans ce Boot-Info, on voit que Ubuntu est installé en mode EFI sur des partition msdos. C'est une configuration non-conventionnelle (on installe d'habitude Ubuntu en mode EFI sur une partition racine d'un disque avec table de partition GPT). Je ne sais pas si ça peut contribuer au problème que tu rencontres mais bon...
EDit ; je te propose cette métho de réparation :
1) réparer le démarrage de Windows 8 quitte à péter momentanément le démarrage de Grub
2) réparer le démarrage de Grub
Pour ce faire, tu peux t'inspirer de ce que je décris dans ce post : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p12978881
Le post mentionne l'utilisation d'une clé USB de récupération de Windows 8 : si tu n'en as pas, tu peux utiliser le DVD d'installation de Windows 8.
Il n'est pas utile de vider /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/ comme j'ai fait dans le post : la réparation va remplacer tout ce qu'il y a actuellement par ce qui va bien.

En fait j'ai installé 12.10 secure remix à l'origine (dec 2012) et avant que ça ne plante il a été upgradé vers 13.04...
Hier, lors de mes nombreux essais, j'ai formaté le disque portant ubuntu et réinstallé 12.10 secure et l'installation à peine terminée il m'a été proposé d'upgrader vers 13.04... Mais il y eut beaucoup de messages d'erreurs.....
Je possède un disque réparation système. Je vais l'utiliser...et je modifie le titre de ma discussion

Il y a peut-être eu un début de lancement de la mise à niveau vers 13.04 mais force est de constater que les seuls noyaux qu'on peut voir dans la partie sdb5/boot/grub/grub.cfg du Boot-Info sont les noyaux de la version 12.10 (il n'y a aucun noyau de 13.04 puisque ces derniers sont en 3.8XX alors que les noyaux de 12.10 sont en 3.5XX). La mise à niveau ne s'est donc pas accomplie.

J'ai bidouillé tellement de trucs (bios, grub, windows)...
De guerre lasse, j'ai supprimé Ubuntu sur le disque 2, et le cd de réparation système est en train de s'occuper de Windows sur le disque 1.
C'est là qu'on apprécie d'avoir plusieurs autres machines à la maison, sans UEFI et pour la plupart sans Win...
Je grave actuellement 13.04... Je te tiens informer de mes pérégrinations

Même avec le système UEFI, il est possible d'avoir une indépendance des disques durs comme on pouvait l'avoir avec le vieux Bios qui mettait en œuvre cette technique : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/comme … ropre_2_dd
C'était le bon temps : tu pouvais retirer le disque n°1 équipé de l'OS n°1 et démarrer l'OS n°2 sur le disque n°2
Malheureusement, à cause du rejet de l'UEFI qui dérange les vieilles habitudes du Bios, je constate que certains - dont tu fais partie - font des installations bricolées qui ne profitent pas de la puissance et de l'intelligence de l'UEFI et sont même plus fragiles que ce qu'on pouvait avoir dans le cas de deux disques durs avec le bon vieux Bios. Dans ce post, je décris comment installer Windows et Ubuntu en UEFI avec un OS sur chaque disque et une indépendance de chaque disque (ce que tu n'as pas dans ton install actuelle puisque tu as une partition EFI commune aux deux OS : c'est ta partition sda1). Si un jour, ça t'intéresse, je pourrai t'aider à mettre ça en œuvre.

J'ai récupéré Windows...et il fonctionne Le disque 1 (P0) porte W8 et le disque 2 est vide.
Etrangement dans le bios, j'ai toujours une option boot P0: ubuntu
Si je la sélectionne par la commande "Delete boot option du bios" et enregistre les changements en quittant, elle n'est pas effacée!
Faut-il que j'aille supprimer dans W8 les fichiers boot correspondant à Ubuntu?

Non, ne passe pas à Boot-Repair et surtout de clique pas sur sa réparation recommandée parce qu'elle est débile* dans ton cas : clique seulement sur le bouton "Créer un rapport BootInfo" et poste l'URL de ce Boot-Info parce que tes derniers rapport du post précédent sont incomplets : il n'y a pas la partie "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" et j'en ai besoin. Dans cette partie, c'est "recommended-Repair" (vers la fin) qui va me servir à te guider pour justement éviter la réparation recommandée de Boot-Repair et te donner des instructions pour l'utilisation avancée de Boot-Repair.
EDIT : ce serait bien que tu fasses ce Boot-Info depuis ta session du Ubuntu installé (au lieu de la faire depuis une session live de Ubuntu). Comme ça je pourrai bien voir que Ubuntu tourne bien en mode EFI. Et fais bien ce Boot-Info après avoir reconnecté le disque Windows pour qu'on puisse bien tout voir.
*elle va te proposer d'installer le chargeur d'amorçage de Ubuntu dans la partition EFI du disque Windows : une bien belle connerie. Il faudra imposer à Boot-Repair (utilisation avancée) d'installer dans la partition EFI du disque Ubuntu et surtout pas dans la partition EFI de Windows.

13.04 est installé.
Nota: après l'invite de commande Ubuntu et sélection "install Ubuntu" l'écran restait noir. J'ai dû désactiver Secure boot dans le bios et l'installation m'a été permise.

Je me dégonfle pour te guider avec Boot-Repair parce que j'ai peur que ça ne marche pas et que ça foute en l'air ce que tu as parfaitement construit jusqu'ici. Sachant que tu pourrais t'arrêter là parce que du point de vue de l'utilisation d'un système UEFI, normalement la boulot est terminé puisque tu es capable de lancer chacun des deux OS. Ce qu'on cherche à faire - pouvoir démarrer Windows en passant par la menu Grub - c'est "en plus" mais ça n'est pas nécessaire.
Je te propose de ne pas utiliser Boot-Repair* mais de faire seulement ce que je propose ici à 1Florian : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p13616901
La procédure est la même excepté que les entrées à ajouter pour toi seront celles-ci (j'ai seulement remplacé par l'identifiant UUID de ta partition sda1 qui est 0A76-F850 d'après ce qu'on peut voir dans ton Boot-Info):

* et dans l'avenir, si l'idée d'utiliser Boot-Repair te prenait un mauvais jour, il va te mettre la misère parce que sa "réparation recommandée" est inadaptée à ta configuration à deux disques durs (jette un œil dans la partie "Default settings" vers la fin de ton Boot-Info : c'est à fuir).

Là je suis à la croisée des chemins... Ou:
1)Je me contente au démarrage du pc d'aller booter sur le disque de mon choix par la touche [échap] (comme j'utilise le plus souvent Ubuntu, je place le disque en N°1 des priorités de boot dans le bios, j'évite la manœuvre)
2) je rajoute les entrées de windows dans le menu grub...
Question:
-Lorsque je mettrai à niveau la suite Ubuntu, le menu grub restera-t-il dans inchangé tel que je l'aurai réécrit?
-Si pour une raison ou une autre, je réinstalle entièrement la suite Linux, la dépose de W8 sera toujours obligée?
Remarques:
-Les disques sda (W8) sont visibles dans la barre des lanceurs Ubuntu sans pouvoir y accéder.
-Le menu Grub n'apparait pas au boot sur sdb (Ub).
-je nourrissais de grands espoirs dans boot-repair puisque les options avancées me permettaient de créer un boot efi séparée sur sdb1...
Mais là, vu mon niveau d'anglais , je pense que je n'ai pas tout compris
Et aussi une case à cocher "Secure Boot" à quoi sert -elle? Merci de m'éclairer.

Fais ce que je propose dans le post #14, c'est vraiment quelque chose de prudent. Tout le contraire du bazar que peut faire Boot-Repair dans ton cas particulier. Pour tes autres questions, voir ci-dessous :

Réponse : j'allais te faire une réponse assez compliquée mais je viens de me raviser : les mises à niveau de Ubuntu ne sont pas fiables et je te conseille de toujours faire une installation toute neuve et toute propre d'une nouvelle version de Ubuntu. Cela me permet de considérer que ta question ne se pose pas.

Réponse : oui, la dépose sera toujours obligée et il faudra reprendre la procédure que j'ai indiquée plus haut pour rajouter les entrées pour Windows.

C'est facile à résoudre mais je te propose de traiter ce problème qui est hors du sujet actuel en créant une nouvelle discussion sur le sujet dans la rubrique du forum "Autres logiciels et problèmes généraux" (donne le lien ici vers cette nouvelle discussion et je t'aiderai)
Pour ta remarque : "Le menu Grub n'apparait pas au boot sur sdb".
Il faut appuyer sur la touche SHIFT au démarrage pour forcer l'affichage du menu Grub.
Pour tes questions sur Boot-Repair, je te prie de ne pas utiliser Boot-Repair ni maintenant ni dans l'avenir sinon tu vas casser à coup sûr ton bon fonctionnement actuel. Si tu devais avoir des ennuis dans l'avenir au sujet de la gestion de ton dual-boot Windows 8 / Ubuntu, tu exhumerais la présente discussion en postant dedans et ça repartirait.

J'ouvre un nouveau fil de discussion pour le montage des disques W8 depuis Ubuntu ICI
En résumé, en espérant avoir tout compris :
Nouvelle version d'Ubuntu: Sauvegarde de /home, dépose du disque W8, installation de la nouvelle version, remontage de W8, modif du fichier 40_custom de grub.
Je pense que je vais maintenant attendre la prochaine version LTS pour plus de tranquillité

Tu as peut-être déjà trouvé l'info tout seul mais tes entrées "Windows Recovery Environment (loader) (sur /dev/sda2)" et "Windows 8 (loader) (sur /dev/sda4)" du Boot-Menu ne peuvent pas fonctionner à cause d'un bogue de Ubuntu : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … ug/1024383
Seules tes nouvelles entrées fraîchement créées peuvent fonctionner : "Windows UEFI bootmgfw.efi" et "Windows Boot UEFI loader"
Il n'est pas souhaitable de chercher à agir sur Grub pour empêcher la détection des entrées qui ne fonctionnent pas pour la raison qu’un jour (on espère très proche) ce bogue sera résolu et que Grub saura détecter correctement Windows et remplacer ces deux entrées non-fonctionnelles par des entrées qui marchent. Ce jour là, tu pourras supprimer les entrées que je t'ai fait créer dans le fichier 40_custom afin de revenir à l'état d'origine de ce fichier 40_custom.
Sinon, ton scénario en cas de nouvelle install de Ubuntu est correct. Je le complète en gras pour que la procédure soit bien explicite :
Nouvelle version d'Ubuntu: Sauvegarde de /home (oui, c'est cette doc qui est à suivre), dépose du disque W8, installation de la nouvelle version, vérification que Ubuntu fonctionne, remontage de W8, modif du fichier 40_custom de grub.

Excuse moi je n'y étais plus. Là je vois bien à quoi tu fais allusion et je peux te répondre que la modif du fichier 40_custom n'a pas pu influer sur l'apparition de ces lanceurs vers les partitions de Windows 8. Ce qui les a fait apparaître, c'est quand tu as connecté le disque Windows 8 : Ubuntu a constaté qu'il y avait de nouvelles partitions.
