Petit problème (peut-être):
depuis 3/4 jours, à la mise en route de mon ordi, je n'ai plus le premier écran qui proposait l'historique de ma config avec choix par défaut de la dernière et donc la possibilité de se connecter avec une "version" précédente si nécessaire.

Tu parles de l'écran de GRUB, je suppose :
Qui te permet (entre autre) de démarrer avec une version précédente du kernel linux en cas de problème avec la dernière version.
Peux tu donner le résultat de :

Pour GRUB:
Il te faut modifier ce fichier /etc/default/grub, donc :
gksu leafpad /etc/default/grub
Tu modifies cette ligne :
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true
En remplaçant true par false
Fais Fichier -> Enregistrer. Ferme la fenêtre de leafpad.
Enfin :
sudo update-grub
Et tu devrais avoir à nouveau ton menu GRUB au démarrage.

Je regarde ; ça a l'air d'avoir "combattu" sec.
Au moins, c'est résolu. ^^
edit : je crois que supprimer .Trash-1000 ou vider la corbeille aurait suffit. Gparted est dangereux.
edit : J'ai vu dans cette capture d'écran que ton tableau de bord était tout 'collé' entre le bouton des fenêtres et la zone de notification. As tu fait cette manipulation :
(il faut que le séparateur soit juste après le greffon 'boutons des fenêtres'. Tu peux en créer un avec le bouton '+' et le déplacer avec les flèches si tu n'as pas de séparateur à cet endroit)

Effectivement je viens de relire la config du GRUB de mon ordi, et le texte donné par la commande :
info -f grub -n 'Simple configuration'
SI je comprends bien, il faut en fait désactiver le "menu caché" (Hidden Menu).
Donc :
gksu leafpad /etc/default/grub
Ces deux lignes :
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=false
Deviennent :
#GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0
#GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=false
Faire Fichier -> Enregistrer. Puis fermer leafpad.
Enfin :
sudo update-grub
Bureau après

Ça m'a l'air bon. Bien que tu pourrais déplacer la 'zone de notification' à côté du 'greffon indicateur', pour ranger tout ça un peu plus.
Et enlever le séparateur avant "Changeur d'espace de travail" (ça évitera d'avoir deux séparateurs entre le 'changeur d'espace de travail' et le greffon 'bouton des fenêtres' alors qu'un seul, étendu, suffit).

Ce n'est pas étonnant quand on considère que gparted est dangereux (on a vite fait de supprimer ou formater la mauvaise partition), et que la solution de supprimer le dossier caché .Trash-1000 ou de vider la corbeille aurait résolu sûrement aussi le problème. Et ce, sans faire appel à des droits super-utilisateur (à l'aide de sudo ou gksu), avec tous les risques que cela implique.

@ ljere, désolé de revenir sur le sujet mais j'ai voulu lancer wipe et quelque chose coince alors que je n'ai rien changé depuis l'utilisation précédente, qui avait bien fonctionné.
Voici les éléments qui pourraient remettre les choses en place :

C'est le chemin dans le lanceur sur le bureau qui n'est pas bon.
Il faut mettre ~/.wipe.sh et non pas ./.wipe.sh
