grub sur /dev/hda3 :: ne se lance pas au boot

bonjour à  tous

voila j'ai un petit probleme suite à  l'installation de xubuntu.
j'ai lu plein de tutos et de post, mais là  j'y arrive pas, ya un truc que j'ai du louper.

Donc j'ai un portable (Acer Aspire A 1640)
J'ai Win XP et aussi une partition de recovery que je ne veux pas abimer.

J'ai donc partitionné comme ceci

/dev/sda1  --> recovery + hidden
/dev/sda2  --> winxp
/dev/sda3 ---> /            + boot
/dev/sda4 extended
      /dev/sda7   /media/common (FAT32)
      /dev/sda6   /home
      SWAP

A l'installation j'ai bien précisé de mettre grub sur la partition / (/dev/sda3)
J'ai bien mis un marqueur "boot" sur cette meme partition. (avec Gparted live CD)
j'ai bien retiré le marqueur "boot lba" sur la partition Win.

Et bah au demarrage c'est directement sur Windows que je me retrouve, impossible de trouver Grub.
J'ai revérifié avec Gparted live cd, et en fait un marqueur "Boot" est revenu comme par magie sur la partition Windows alors que je l'ai viré (j'ai fait ça 4 ou 5 fois...)

Grub est bien installé, puisque avec le live cd Gparted (oui je l'aime bien ce CD) on peut demander de booter sur la 3eme partition et là  nickel, Grub est là  il me demande poliment ce que je veux et aussi il obéit. DOnc j'ai pu vérifier que Xubuntu est bien installé et qu'il fonctionne sans problèmes.

DOnc ma question si quelqu'un a déjà  rencontré le problème.

Comment booter sur la 3eme partition du disque au demarrage?
Je n'ai pas vu d'options de ce style dans le BIOS.
si c'est dernier qui ne permet pas de booter sur cette 3eme partition, je le Hais.

peux-tu poster ton "menu.lst" s'il te plait...?

sudo mousepad /boot/grub/menu.lst

alors voilà  mon menu.lst, je n'y ai pas touché encore il a été fait automatiquement.
j'espere qua la solution se trouve dedans!

Apparement le chainloader est toujours actif sur la partition windows...il existe la solution d'éditer ça sous windows: Poste de travail->Propriétés->Avancé->Démarrage et récupération.
Mais avant toute chose ouvres un terminal:

sudo grub

Attendre un peu qu'il travaille puis:

 find /boot/grub/stage1

Que dit-il ?....c'est pas trés grave mais il faut prendre son temps avant d'opter pour une solution via windows ou linux.
Tu n'es pas le(la) premier(e) à  rencontrer ce problème alors fouilles bien la doc et le forum

Dans ton cas, la meilleure solution est de booter via NTLDR d'Xp.

A partir de Copiez le contenu du secteur d'amorçage avec un LiveCD
