alsamixergui
Si il est pas installé:
sudo apt-get install alsamixergui
et essaie le son (en poussant le pcm à fond)

visiblement il n'y a pas le bon driver pour ta carte son.
regarde quelle carte est reconnue
asoundconf list
Pour reconfigurer la carte son
sudo dpkg-reconfigure alsa-base
Tu peux essayer de trouver le bon module en installant modconf
sudo modconf
regarde cette doc ou tout est expliqué: http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/son
Je tiens à préciser que tout est indiqué dans la doc sur ce site (taper ce que tu recherche en haut à droite sur le site).
