vidéo trop saccadée (désagreable au possible!)

Bonjour à tous,

Tout d'abord, je précise que c'est la 1ère fois que je poste sur un forum linux.
J'ai toujours réussi à regler mes soucis, seul, en faisant des recherches...

J'utilise ubuntu depuis quelques années déjà (depuis 10.4), dabord avec windaube (dual boot), puis seul maintenant.

Je n'ai jamais eu de rééls problèmes d'affichage (sur 4 ou 5 pc différents).

Il y'a peu, j'utilisais un vieux pc portable avec 512 mo de ram et carte graphique interne (la booze), ça ramait (swap tout le temps chargée) mais une fois la vidéo chargée plus de souci (sauf vidéo hd = normal)...

Depuis peu j'utilise un vieux pc de salon boosté en ram... (AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ × 2), 3go de ram ddr2 , carte graphique intégrée (GeForce 6150 LE/integrated/SSE2/3DNOW!).

J'ai installé un 13.04 = nickel, sauf ce souci de vidéo saccadée quel que soit la source ( net, vlc, meme les fenetres saccadent légerement quand j'ouvre ou ferme).
J'ai testé pilote proprio et open...j'ai joué avec les options nvidia server....

J'ai changé la resolution jusqu'a la plus basse...
J'utilise un lcd asus 22 pouces hd (1920.1080) connecté en vga...

je bloque...

je possède bien un fichier etc/x11 mais pas de xorg.conf

Tu devrais peut-être essayer avec Ubuntu 12.04 tout court (et pas 12.04.2 ou autres) et les pilotes propriétaires nVidia.

Sans être sûr que ça te dépanne.....

c'est le coté soutenu sur le long terme?

j'ai une version cd 12.10 j'essaierai peut-etre avec regret (j'aime bien l'idée d'avoir la toute dernière version stable, pas béta non plus)...

A tester à tout hasard...

Dans un terminal, tapes ceci :

gstreamer-properties

Sélectionnes l'onglet video, dans la partie Default Output, à la ligne Plugin, tu choisis X Window System ( no xv ).

J'ai testé Ubuntu 12.04 et 13.04 sur un PC plus vieux que le tien. Il a:

- Processeur: AMD Duron 2500+.
- Taille de la RAM: 1,5 Go.
- Carte graphique: nVidia GeForce 6600 GT.

Comme tu peux le constater, il est moins puissant que le tien sauf pour la carte graphique.

J'ai constaté, sur ce PC, qu'Ubuntu 12.04 est un peu plus réactif qu'Ubuntu 13.04.

Comme ta carte graphique est moins puissante que la mienne, je testerais Ubuntu 12.04 sur ce PC.

Les versions antérieures à 12.04 ne sont plus maintenue. Je préfère les éviter.

j'ai essayé les 2 pistes, rien n'y fait! !!
c'est quand même dingue que ça marche avec un win8 mais pas avec un 13.04...

J'essayerais un 12.04 quand ma connexion internet me permettra de le download (et quand je recuperais mon graveur), en gros pas demain, tongue !!!

même soucis sous ubuntu 13.04, avec un pc tout neuf AMD A6 et 6Go de mémoire mais carte vidéo intégrée.
les vidéosAvi comme mode DVD (Vob) sont très saccadées, que ce soit gstreamer ou vlc...
C'est pour un pote, ça me ferait mal d'être obligé d'installer un seven...

@didus : ça serait plus correct et efficace d'ouvrir un sujet nouveau plutôt que de squatter un sujet qui ressemble mais dont les causes sont bien différentes...
Je te donne quand-même une piste vite fait : la génération de puces graphiques AMD n'a pas encore un pilotage très satisfaisant en libre même si ça progresse bien avec les dernières avancées dans Ubuntu 13.10.

Mais l'accélération matérielle devrait par contre être très efficace (pour la video comme pour la 3D) avec le pilote additif propriétaire fourni par AMD (à installer par "pilotes supplémentaires" dans Ubuntu 13.04).

Il est possible aussi d'essayer déjà ce que donnent les avancée du pilotage libre sur Kubuntu 13.10 en pré-version actuelle, qui sera finalisée avant la fin du mois.

Désolé de ne pas avoir ouvert un nouveau post, mais je pensais que l'info de dire qu'avec du matériel récent et plus performant pouvait intéresser à minima le demandeur qui lui aussi est équipé d'un AMD mais plus ancien.

Pour info, après cette installation du pilote vidéo AMD, un nouveau message à droite: AMD unsupported Hardware, mais les vidéos ne sont plus saccadées.
