Bonjour,

Je cherche à installer ce pilote (iwl 3945) pour faire fonctionner le wifi de mon portable lenovo R61

Salut,

Ce pilote est inclus par défaut dans le noyau, par le paquet nommé "linux-image-extra", par exemple chez moi le dernier est linux-image-extra-3.8.0-31-generic.

Je te parle du paquet linux-image-extra-XXX et toi tu essaies d'installer un paquet qui serait nommé iwl3945 !?

N'as-tu pas déjà le paquet "linux-image-extra-" correspondant à ton noyau installé ?
Tu ne dis pas sur quelle version d'Ubuntu tu es, du coup j'ai un peu de mal à t'aider précisément...

Que donnent les commandes suivantes ?

Donc tu es en Quantal (12.10), tu as déjà les paquets "linux-image-extra" installés et tu as déjà le pilote iwl3945 installé.

Donc tu prends ton problème par le mauvais bout.
Tu te dis "il ne détecte pas les réseaux", du coup tu viens directement demander comment installer un pilote : quelle démarche as-tu suivi pour te dire qu'il te manque le pilote ?

Peux-tu s'il te plaît suivre les instructions "À lire avant de poster" qui sont présentes dans le forum "WiFi" où tu aurais du poster ton présent message ?

Comme on le voit dans le retour de "lsmod", tu utilises déjà le pilote iwl3945 ; ton interface wifi est bien configurée.

Par contre, dans le retour de "rfkill" on voit que l'interface est désactivée par un commutateur matériel (hard blocked : yes).

N'aurais-tu pas, par hasard, un interrupteur quelque part sur ton PC qui sert à couper le wifi ? Et cet interrupteur ne serait-il pas dans la position "désactivé" ?

En tout cas, le problème tourne autour de ça. Les commandes que tu montres disent clairement que le wifi est bien détecté mais désactivé.

Je ne m'y connais malheureusement pas assez pour pouvoir mieux te guider.

Pour la petite histoire, nous avons récupéré 5 ordinateurs portables similaires (lenovo R61),

4 ne fonctionne pas sous wifi (!) pour l'instant alors que tout semble ok.

Un seul fonctionne, et voici le retour

Peut-on désactiver l'interrupteur?

Je l'ai commuté plusieurs fois mais rien ne change,il est pourtant en position "on"!!!

S'ils sont dans la même position que celui qui fonctionne on doit pouvoir éliminer cette cause.

Mais si tu fais un réseau avec des connexions  internet en wifi, tu vas certainement au devant d'une belle série de problèmes dont celui-ci n'est qu'un hors-d'oeuvre.

je reviens vers vous car j'ai de nouveau des soucis avec un autre lenovo R61. Le wifi n'est pas détecté et pourtant j'ai modifié le bios en ce sens. Même problème qu'auparavant mais là je ne comprend plus.
