TP-LINK TL-WN321G ne fonctionne plus après mauvaise manipulation
Bonjour,
En essayant d'installer compat-drivers (https://backports.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Main_Page) pour mon dongle wifi TP-LINK TL-WN321G j'ai tout cassé et je n'arrive plus a remettre les choses en ordre

Je ne suis pas sûr que ça te dépanne, mais lit quand même cette discussion.
OS: Ubuntu 22.04 64 bits + Windows 11 64 bits en dualboot (BIOS UEFI, Secure Boot activé et table de partitions GPT)
PC portable HP 17-CP0308NF Processeur: AMD Ryzen 7 5700U avec carte graphique AMD Lucienne intégrée au processeur. Mémoire vive: 16 Go RAM

As-tu suivi jusqu'à ceci.
Toujours sans être sûr que ça te dépanne.
Et retiens qu'une version de compat-wireless peut très bien ne pas t'aider. Mais qu'une autre version peut te dépanner.

Bonjour,
mais ta carte wifi interne à l'air de bien fonctionner, d'ou la question pourquoi vouloir utiliser ta clef usb wifi ???
PS :
1/ Installer les compat-wireless, c'est bien, encore faut-il désactiver/blacklister les modules pas défaut... quand l'installation ne le fait pas (ou mal) a ta place
2/ Attention à la version de ta clef usb wifi, selon les version ce n'est pas forcement le même chipset (cela peut etre de l'atheros ou du ralink)

mais ta carte wifi interne à l'air de bien fonctionner, d'ou la question pourquoi vouloir utiliser ta clef usb wifi ???
Le wifi intégré capte moins bien et je n'aime pas avoir du matériel que je ne peux pas utilisé.
De plus je n'arrivais pas a faire fonctionner Reaver. J'ai donc pensé que avec les drivers compat-wireless cela arrangerais les choses.
Je me suis trompé, car je me suis aperçu plus tard que sous une VM Debian, avec le même driver qu'au début, ca fonctionne très bien avec Reaver.
Du coup ce que je veux faire, c'est viré totalement compat-wireless et remettre les drivers par défaut fournie par ubuntu.
2/ Attention à la version de ta clef usb wifi, selon les version ce n'est pas forcement le même chipset (cela peut etre de l'atheros ou du ralink)
Comment je peux savoir ?

@$c0ubid0u : essaye cela (c'est uniquement pour la carte interne):
sudo -s && echo "options iwlagn 11n_disable=1" > /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf && ifconfig wlan0 down && rmmod iwlwifi && modprobe -v iwlwifi && ifconfig wlan0 up && exit
connecte toi avec la carte interne (clef usb wifi débranchée) et regarde si c'est mieux ou pas

Pas de changement, mis appart que les variations de signal/qualité/tx rate, semble plus importante.

oups au temps pour moi, la manipulation que je t'ai fait faire au post #11 ne peut pas correctement fonctionner, donc on recommence :
pré-requis : avoir encore le fichier iwlwifi.conf que je t'ai fait créer lors de mon post, si tu l'as effacé, re créer-le avec cette commande
sudo -s && echo "options iwlagn 11n_disable=1" > /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf && exit
puis
sudo -s && echo "blacklist iwldvm" >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf && exit
reboot et test ton wifi interne....
si toujours pas stable ou plus de wifi au reboot
(n'efface pas le fichier iwlwifi.conf ) edite le fichier blacklist.conf avec cette commande
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
supprime la ligne contenant "blacklist iwldvm", enregistre et reboot et re test le wifi si stable ou pas

Désolé pour le temps de réponse, j'ai mes examens en ce moment...
Après avoir appliqué tes modifications, le wifi ne semble pas plus performant et j'ai toujours le même taux de variation.
En quoi le fait de désactivé la technologie 11n permet au wifi d’être plus performant ?

Désolé aussi pour le délai, j'etais aussi tres occupé...
cela ne permet pas d'être plus performant, mais simplement de "lever le doute" sur un bug qui existe sur les 12.04 et 12.10 (mais apparement plus sur les 13.04...a confirmer)
Bon, ben la je sèche sur la carte wifi interne (cela m’embête, j'ai la même et je comptais passer sur la 13.10....) bon, il me me reste plus qu'une idée, c'est de faire fonctionner une de tes 2 cartes (libre a toi de choisir celle que tu veux) avec ndiswrapper (voit la doc)

Ok, je comprend mieux.
Les deux cartes fonctionnai avant que je foute ma merde. Pourquoi je devrais faire un choix ?
Et pourquoi utiliser ndiswrapper, sachant que les pilotes sous linux existe.
