vmware-server problème d'install
l'orsque que je lance la cinfig de vmware
./vmware-config.pl
What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.22-14/include
The path "/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.22-14/include" is a kernel header file
directory, but it does not contain the file "linux/version.h" as expected.
This can happen if the kernel has never been built, or if you have invoked the
"make mrproper" command in your kernel directory. In any case, you may want to
rebuild your kernel.

What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/build/include
The directory of kernel headers (version 2.6.22-14-generic) does not match your
running kernel (version 2.6.22-14-server). Even if the module were to compile
successfully, it would not load into the running kernel.
pourtant je tourne bien sur le kernel2.6.22.14
help me please:)

Re : vmware-server problème d'install
Problème similaire pour moi ! J'ai pas trouvé de solution !
dans /usr/src/ -> je n'ai rien ...
donc j'ai pris et extrait les sources du CD en local sur le srv
( dans un repertoire que j'ai créé au hazard )
tout les *.h sont bien présent dans le répertoire mais rien y fait il n'en veut pas !
Grrrrr
help help !

Re : vmware-server problème d'install
Vous pouvez aller voir :
http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=55838
Je vais réinstaller entièrement Ubuntu sur VMware.
Ensuite :
- sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r` build-essential
Ensuite c'est parti pour installer VMware Tools
