[RESOLU] Cube...

Bonjour,
depuis mon passage de la 13.04 à la 13.10, le fameux "cube" ne fonctionne plus chez moi (kubuntu, KDE 4.11.2). Dans configuration du système, effets de bureaux, options avancées, le système se met constamment sous XRender au lieu de OpenGL, de sorte que plusieurs effets ne fonctionnent plus, dont le cube. Et comme j'utilise 4 bureaux, c'est plutôt gênant...
Une idée ?

Si ça repasse en Xrender, c'est qu'aucune accélération graphique n'est détéctée. Peut-être la mise à niveau a-t-elle changé le pilote graphique ?
Quelle est ta carte graphique, et quel est le pilote utilisé ?

Il n'y a pas de pilote propriétaire installé...

si je vais dans système, pilotes supplémentaires, j'ai un pilote 319_nividia_update qui est activé mais pas utilisé et un pilote Nividia binary Xorg driver kernel module and VDPAU library qui lui n'est pas activé.

319 ? Moi je n'en suis qu'à 304 big_smile mais c'est normal, moi j'ai nvidia-current et toi nvidia-updates
Tu peux donner le contenu du fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?

Quelle est ta carte graphique aussi ? Car depuis le passage aux pilotes 319.xx pas mal de cartes sont passées à la trappe et doivent se contenter du pilote 304.xx passé en "Legacy"

Et sur le site de nVidia, ils proposent bien le 319 pour cette carte.

C'est le pilote générique "vesa" qui est utilisé, il est donc normal que tu n'aies pas l'accélération graphique. Et curieusement, "nvidia" ou "nouveau" n'apparaissent jamais dans ton Xorg.0.log
Si tu ne peux pas désactiver la carte Intel via le BIOS, alors c'est Bumblebee la solution. Que donne cette commande :

lspci -vnn | grep '\''[030[02]\]'

De plus, je viens de voir dans mon gestionnaire de paquets Muon que sont installés : bumblebee et bumblebee-nvidia. En revanche, blumbebee-dbg et primus ne sont pas installés.

Enfin, j'ai constaté que dans le dossier /var/log/ existaient, outre le fichier /Xorg.0.log, un fichier Xorg.0.log.old, un fichier Xorg.1.log, un fichier Xorg.1.old.log, un fichier Xorg.8.log et un fichier Xorg.8.old.log

C'est grave docteur ? hmm

Les différents fichiers Xorg.?.log, ce sont simplement des archives, aucun souci.
Et là oui, je crois que Bumblebee est la solution. Malheureusement je ne l'utilise pas, donc je ne peux que te conseiller la doc à ce sujet (voir message#8 de Ubuntu1988).
Peut-être aussi ceci, mais pour l'instant ça semble un peu expérimental.

J'ai utilisé avec succès la page de la doc http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/bumblebee sur une installation 'neuve' de kubuntu 13.04 il y a quelques mois. Visiblement le support de la part de Nvidia est en train d'évoluer : http://p3ter.fr/article49/ubuntu-13-10- … -bumblebee. Ça peut de donner des pistes...
Je vais attendre un peu avant de passer à la 13.10 moi...

Bon, problème résolu .... en repassant de la 13.10 à la 13.04. OpenGL, nécessaire notamment au cube, est de nouveau actif smile. Finalement, je vais rester avec la 13.04 car la 13.10 est trop instable, du moins chez moi. Je crois que je ne vais upgrader que sur la 14.04 ou attendre que les bugs de la 13.10 soient réglés.
