Vider fichier Boot pour mises à jour

Bonjour à tous,

je vais tenter de faire simple, (je précise que je suis novice avec Ubuntu, un ami me prête son portable).

Comment vider le fichier BOOT qui apparement est plein ? je ne peux plus faire de mises à jour a cause de ca

Merci de me guider  pas à pas si vous le pouvez

Salut

Que donne depuis un terminal (ctrl+alt+t) un :
dpkg  -l  |  grep  linux-
et
sudo  ls  -l  /boot

Si tu as un doute, tu fais un copier/coller des commandes dans le terminal.

Tu vas faire (toujours en copier/coller).  Attention de ne rien modifier dans les commandes ci-dessous :
sudo  apt-get  purge "linux-image-3.5 *"
sudo  apt-get  purge "linux-image-3.8.0-1 *"
sudo  apt-get  purge "linux-image-3.8.0-2 *"

sudo  apt-get  purge "linux-image-extra-3.5 *"
sudo  apt-get  purge "linux-image-extra-3.8.0-1 *"
sudo  apt-get  purge "linux-image-extra-3.8.0-2 *"

sudo  apt-get  purge "linux-headers-3.8.0-1 *"
sudo  apt-get  purge "linux-headers-3.8.0-2 *"

Quand c'est fait tu refais un :
dpkg  -l  |  grep  linux-
df -h
df -i

Et tu donnes les résultats.

Les commandes doivent être tapées l'une après l'autre. Tu dois attendre la fin de chaque commande avant de coller la suivante.

Maintenant il y a de la place sur /boot.
Tu peux faire (toujours sur un terminal) :
sudo  apt-get  update
sudo  apt-get  upgrade

Tes install se sont bien déroulées ? Tu n'as pas eu de message d'erreur ?
Si tout est ok, il ne te reste plus qu'à passer ton sujet en "Résolu" (dans le titre en modifiant ton premier post).

merci Mixout, la technique et moi ca fait deux ! ceci dit je tacherais de faire l'effort de déchiffrer. Il me faut avant tout comprendre les termes  (pas une mince affaire) smile En ce qui concerne ma contribution ce serait avec plaisir mais j'aurai trop peur de dire de grosses bétises ! J'ai toujours été sur système exploitation windows jusqu'à présent. Ubuntu est une découverte pour moi smile Merci encore à toute l'équipe, vous êtes formidables !

Les commandes passées suppriment tous les noyaux Linux anciens, soit tout ce qui commence par
linux-image-3.5 (donc 3.5.0-28)
linux-image-3.8.0-1 (donc 3.8.0-19)
linux-image-3.8.0-2 (donc 3.8.0-23 à 3.8.0-29)
ne garde que 3.8.0-30* à 3.8.0-32

idem pour les linux-image-extra et linux-headers


PC fixe sous Bionic 64 bits et portable avec Focal 64 bits
