[résolute] Probleme de clavier apres installation de driver ATI

Salut :
Tout d'abord, je suis assez nouveau sur Ubuntu et sur Linux...
Je viens d'installer les drivers pour mon ATI Radeon 9600XT 256Mo...
d'abord le fglrx Ubuntu, puis celui d'ATI puis je sais plus trop tellement que j'en ai installe et desinstalle...
Maintenant ca va plus ou moins (2800 fps / 520 fps) excepte deux trois problemes de dual screen (si vous avez un truc pour avoir le VRAI dual screen, la je l'ai qu'en jumaux parfait)

Mais allons a l'essentiel: comme vous aurez remarque, je n'ai plus d'accents (quand je tape une lettre avec accent, ca donne ca " ") et plus de cedille (un beau 4 a la place) plus quelques problemes de touche comme la barre verticale... je precise qu'il s'agit d'un clavier suisse romand (suisse francais si vous preferez).
J'ai deja essaye de modifier xorg.conf dans tous les sens, mais sans succes.

Bon, apres avoir essaye ca, puis seulement une partie de ca (seulement les parametres ch etc..), ca ne va toujours pas.
Au demarage de x, apres le chargement des modules, il part en mode console, et me dit que x n'a pas pu demarrer, erreur fatale ligne tel, qui correspond aux lignes changees.
Donc a chaque fois killall gdm, fglrxconfig puis retour sur gdm. Comme la config de fglrx ne m'a plus ecrase les changement dans xorg.conf, j'ai du finalement faire un dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg.

En attendant, voici une partie de xorg.conf (bien different d'avant):

Bon, autre chose maintenant:
lorsque je tente de configurer le clavier par gnome

Erreur lors de l'activation de la configuration XKB.
Cela peut arriver pour plusieurs raisons :
- un bogue dans la bibliothèque libxklavier
- un bogue dans le serveur X (xkbcomp, utilitaires xmodmap)
- serveur X avec une implémentation de libxkbfile incompatible

Données de version du serveur X :
The X.Org Foundation
60802000

Si vous rapportez cette situation comme une anomalie, veuillez inclure :
- Le résultat de xprop -root | grep XKB
- Le résultat de gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd

les resultats dans l'ordre:

_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "base", "pc101", "us", "", ""

et

 layouts = []
 model = microsoftinet

J'ai encore reinstalle les fichiers mentiones dans le message d'erreur. Excepte le fait qu'il apparait maintenant apres le demarrage, toujours pas d'accent (etait il la peine de le mentionner: ptin, je passe vraiment pour un illetre mad )

J'ai du nouveau: j'ai remarque que tous les dossiers de /etc/X11/xkb sont vide ou contiennent des sous dossiers vides. Excepte /rules qui contient des fichiers de lien, comme xorg, mais il me dit que le lien est mort...

on ne peut pas dire que vous m'avez été d'une aide très précieuse, à vrai dire je me sentais un peu seul ici...
Enfin ne soyons pas rencuniers, et donons la solution: 

# cd /etc/X11/
# mv xkb xkb.old
# apt-get install xkbutils --reinstall
# apt-get install xkeyboard-config --reinstall
# dpkg -i --force-confmiss /var/cache/apt/archives/xkeyboard-config_0.6-5breezy1_all.deb

C'est la soluce de quelqu'un qui avait trouvé quelqu'un qui avait trouvé... comme il s'agissait de la version unstable, j'ai adapté à breezy. Pour les lecteurs du futur, il faudra adapter la version de xkeyboard-config

Je ne sais pas dans quelle mesure il est important de réinstaller xkbutils et xkeyboard-config, quelqu'un pourrait me dire ça. C'est évidement la dernière ligne qui est importante, puisque elle force la réinstallation des fichiers de config, qui apparament ne s'installent pas avec un simple apt-get...

comme je vous ai dit, je suis nouveau sur linux, mais avec des bugs pareils, qu'est-ce qu'on apprend...

Merci, car j'avais le même problème et j'ai pu le résoudre facilement. Par contre xkb me faisait des erreurs comme toi mais après la modification de xorg et relance de startx xkb fonctionnait impec.

Il se trouve que j'ai eu EXACTEMENT le même probleme survenu apres la même chose. Seul certains accents me sont disponibles... mais pire... certains caracteres comme le at ne me sont pas accessibles!

Impossible de relever son mail sans "copier-coller" un "at" quelque part.

J'ai applique la solution qui consiste a regenerer les keymap... sans succes. A chaque fois que je veux installer un clavier (quelqu'il soit), il me met la boite de dialogue "Erreur lors de l'activation de la configuration XKB."

Je dispose moi aussi d'un clavier suisse romand...

Voici mon fichier xorg.conf pour infos:

En fait, je n'ai pas bien compris ce qui prends le pas dans Gnome concernant la configuration du clavier...

En effet, mon clavier fonctionne désormais normlament. Il ne me reste plus qu'à supprimer le message d'erreur "Erreur lors de l'activation de la configuration XKB." lors du démarrage de la session.
