[RESOLU]ecran noir après chargement Ubuntu sur Alienware Area51 m5550
Bonjour, je me suis enfin décidé à passer en double boot avec linux, mais je rencontre quelques problemes.
Voici ma config
Alienware Area51 m5550 avec GeForce 7600 Go, et Intel Core Duo 2ghz.
Tout d'abord, j'ai téléchargé Ubuntu 7.04 live CD, je l'ai gravé, j'ai booté dessus et après la barre de progression, je me suis retrouvé avec un ecran noir. =>Je reboot, je change l'affichage (F4 au demarrage, et je choisis le mode 1024x768 en 32bit) et là, ça marche impeccable. Je decouvre un peu ubuntu, puis je l'installe (après avoir créé une partion etc...).
Une fois l'installation terminée, redemarrage, mode normal (celui qui est en haut de la liste, je ne me souviens plus exactement du nom), puis viennent l'ecran Ubuntu, la barre de progression et là, je me retrouve à nouveau avec un ecran noir, mais le son fonctionne (quand j'appuie sur ENTREE, j'entend un bruit de TamTam).
J'ai fait un peu le tour du forum (rapidement), j'ai trouvé quelques trucs mais rien ne fonctionne, je me retrouve avec des messages d'erreurs, donc j'ai tout remis comme à l'origine, j'ai fait une copie du Xorg.conf que voici

Bonjour,
Essaie simplement en remplaçant les "1280x800" par "1024x768" dans la Section "Screen"
C'est d'ailleurs étonnant qu'il ne te propose que du 1280x800 par défaut. Tu as un écran wide ?

c'est normal qu'il te propose du 1280x800 (tu as un écran 15.4″ WideXGA 1280 x 768 LCD monitor) pourquoi vouloir du 1024x768, si ça passe ça sera tout déformé

Je pense que je me suis mal exprimé au sujet de la config. En fait, je parlais du 1024x768 32 parce que ça marchait avec le live CD. Après, c'est sur que je préfère en 1280x800. (qui d'ailleur n'etait pas proposé sur le live CD).
Le truc c'est que je suis dans une impasse, je n'arrive pas à afficher le bureau, et ducoup je ne peux rien faire. Connaissant très mal les lignes de commandes, je me demandais si quelqu'un pourrait me donner un coup de pouce, une petite commande magique pour que j'arrive à afficher quelquechose.

ok je comprends mieux.
donc comme je l'ai indiqué, ouvre xorg.conf avec nano ( sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf ).
remplace les "1280x800" par "1024x768".
une fois que ça fonctionne, installe les pilotes propriétaires NVidia et tu pourras certainement repasser au 1280x800.

Bon, en fait c'était tout con, j'ai oublié de précisé que j'avais un second ecran qui etait branché au PC, je l'ai allumé et j'ai vu que Ubuntu s'affichait dessus . Ceci dit ça m'amene à un autre probleme, comment afficher ubuntu sur l'ecran du portable uniquement, lorsqu'un second eran est branché?

As tu vu tourner le Alienware Area m9750 ? Il m'intéresse, mais je ne sais pas si il ne surchauffe pas et ne fait pas trop de bruit...
