[RESOLU] Dual boot UEFI : windows 8 /ubuntu 13.10 sur VAIO PRO 13
Bonjour à tous,
Je me tourne vers vous après avoir pas mal galéré pour installer Ubuntu en dual boot avec Windows 8 sur un portable Sony VAIO Pro 13, avec windows 8 préinstallé. A l"heure actuelle, j'ai soit windows qui démarre directement, soit aucun OS, mais impossible de lancer ubuntu.
J'ai désactivé secure boot, installé ubuntu 13.10 en mode UEFI à côté de windows à partir d'un live USB. En redémarrant à la fin de l'installation, j'ai windows qui a démarré directement.
J'ai donc relancé mon Live USB, et utilisé boot repair en répondant "oui" a la question "backup and rename windows EFI files ?".

Le résultat était le même, windows démarrait directement.
J'ai donc relancé boot repair en répondant non à la dernière question, puis redémarré : écran noir, aucun OS trouvé.

J'ai restauré les fichiers sauvegardés par boot repair, ca refonctionne, mais toujours windows.
J'ai ensuite essayé de suivre les étapes présentées sur ce pdf :

Rien n'a changé.
J'ai aussi essayé la procédure décrite ici : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2196415 ca n'a pas fonctionné non plus.
Ce dernier post semble indiquer une doublé sécurité hard codée qui ne permettrait de démarrer qu'en utilisant un fichier efi portant le nom bootmgfw.efi et le label "Windows Boot mamanger", sans quoi il serait écrasé à chaque démarrage.
Par ailleurs, lorsque je démarre avec la clef USB de restauration du système, j'arrive a voir le menu de démarrage EFI (que je n'arrive pas à voir autrement), et à sélectionner l'entrée que je veux, lorsque j'essaye ubuntu, ou refind, il démarre quand même windows..
J'ai l'impression que le système est vraiment bridé pour ne démarrer qu wondows, le seul "point positif" est que j'ai réussi à ne pas le démarrer dans ma seconde tentative avec boot repair, ca a donc l'air possible, de là à
lancer ubuntu ....?
Une idée ? Personnellement, je ne sais plus quoi faire, surtout que je ne comprend pas vraiment ce que je fais (notamment, où s'enregistre la configuration fait à l'aid de efibootmgr ?)

Si ça peut te rassurer, j'ai installé Ubuntu 12.04.3 64 bits en dualboot avec Windows 8 pré-installé sans problème.
J'ai fais comme ceci:
1) Démarrage du PC et direction le BIOS. Pas d'option pour passer en mode Legacy donc mode UEFI obligatoire. Secure Boot laissé activé.
2) Démarrage du PC sur Windows 8 et réduction de la partition de Windows via l'outil intégré dans Windows pour avoir un espace libre (espace libre = pas de partition à cet endroit).
3) Démarrage du PC sur un LiveDVD d'Ubuntu 12.04.3 64 bits en session Live (Essayer Ubuntu sans l'installer) et tester si ça fonctionne correctement (carte graphique, son, réseau filaire et Wi-Fi).
4) Toujours en session Live, installation d'Ubuntu en cliquant sur l'icône de l'installeur.
5) Suivre les indications de l'installeur.
6) A la fin de l'installation, redémarrage du PC.
Maintenant, il y a une chose dont je ne me rappelle pas: c'est si l'installeur m'a proposé directement l'installation d'Ubuntu en dualboot avec Windows ou si j'ai du passer par "Autre chose".
Juste pour info:
1) Je dois appuyer sur F9 pour lancer le gestionnaire d'amorçage et pouvoir choisir de démarrer sur Ubuntu. Sinon, c'est démarrage sur Windows.
2) J'utilise toujours un LiveCD/DVD ou LiveUSB international d'Ubuntu.
Ce n'est pas le même PC que toi, mais ça doit passer un peu partout.
OS: Ubuntu 22.04 64 bits + Windows 11 64 bits en dualboot (BIOS UEFI, Secure Boot activé et table de partitions GPT)
PC portable HP 17-CP0308NF Processeur: AMD Ryzen 7 5700U avec carte graphique AMD Lucienne intégrée au processeur. Mémoire vive: 16 Go RAM

Bonjour Korak, et merci pour ta réponse.
J'ai suivi exactement la même procédure que toi, (sauf que j'ai désactive le secure boot, au cas où...).
J'utilise aussi un Live USB international d'ubuntu, sauf que j'ai pris la release 13.10.
J'ai choisi le mode manuel lors de l'installation d'ubuntu pour specifier la partition sur laquelle installer mon systeme ubuntu (et en profiter pour mettre un home séparé et une partition d'échange avec windows en ntfs).
Au redémarrage, je tombe directement sur windows (pas de menu de boot EFI, ni de grub).
Je n'ai pas réussi à trouver la touche pour acceder au menu EFI (F9 ne fonctionne pas, F8 F10,F12 non plus...).

Pour le gestionnaire d'amorçage, essaie la touche Esc ou une touche de fonction (F1 à F12).

Bon j'ai fini par trouver la solution après pas mal d'heures de galère, ca fonctionne !
Voici donc la procédure, pour installer un dual boot windows 8 ubuntu 13.10 sur un sony vaio pro 13.
Premièrement, suivre la procédure décrite ici pour la préparation et l'installation:

(j'ai désactivé le secure boot mais ce n'est probablement pas nécessaire, je vais essayer de le réactiver. J'ai aussi changé l'ordre de démarrage pour qu'il boot sur la clef USB en premier, peser a l'enlever a la fin des manipulations avec le live USB)
Au moment du choix de partitionnement, choisir la procédure manuelle.
Une fois l'installation terminée, vous pouvez tenter de redémarrer, mais pour moi cela n'a pas marché, l'ordinateur a directement démarré sur windows.
J'ai donc redémarré à partir de ma live USB d'ubuntu
(attention, j'ai aussi galéré pour créer une live usb persistante. J'ai essayé avec unetbootin et live-usb-creator,, meme problème. Le fichier syslinux.cfg a la racine de la clef contenait bien l'option pour la persistance de la clef, mais il a fallu modifier manuellement le fichier /boot/grub/grub.cfg et ajouter le mot clef persistent comme suit :

No change has been performed on your computer.Grub a bien été installé, et a détécté la présence de windows et ubuntu et créé des entrées pour chacun, mais le système démarre directement sur windows car l'UEFI a été bridé par sony pour n'aller chercher que le fichier de démarage de windows.
Ce que j'ai fait, c'est de mettre le repertoire ubuntu à la place de /boot/efi/EFI/Boot, en renommant le shimx64.efi en bootx64.efi . Ainsi, le système croit lancer windows, mais lance en fait grub, qui va vous permettre de lancer windows ou ubntu.
En supposant que /dev/sda6 est la partition système / de votre ubuntu qui ne démarre pas et /dev/sda3 la partition de boot :
#Preparation
sudo mount /dev/sda6 /mnt/ #monte le / du systeme a réparer dans /mnt du live usb
sudo mount /dev/sda3 /mnt/boot/efi/ #monte la partition de boot dans /boot/efi du système a réparer
for i in /dev /dev/pts /proc /sys; do sudo mount -B ${i} /mnt${i}; done # ainsi que d'autres répertoires necessaires
sudo modprobe efivars # charge les variables efi
sudo chroot /mnt # utilise maintenant le systeme a reparer plutot que le live usb

J'ai ensuite modifié grub pour régler un supposé problème de SSD avec NCQ (voir les posts http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=15514531 http://elouisyoung.blogspot.fr/2013/07/ … -with.html http://askubuntu.com/questions/360285/1 … -with-uefi et plein d'autres en cherchant vaio pro 13 et libata.force sur google).
Il s'agit d'éditer le fichier /etc/default/grub
sudo nano /etc/default/grubet de mofier la ligne
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"en
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash libata.force=noncq"puis de lancder
sudo update-grubNormalement, le dual boot fonctionne !
J'ai ensuite fait les optimisations relatives au SSD : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/ssd_solid_state_drive
CE QUI N'A PAS MARCHE POUR MOI :
- boot-repair : en "répération recommandée", que ce soit en répondant oui ou non a la question "backup and rename windows efi files". Si vous répondez oui, il va maquiller les fichiers de démarrage de grub pour qu'ils aient l'air de fichiers windows, c'est ce qu'il faut faire, mais il faut le faire dans le repertoir /boot/efi/EFI/Boot et non dans le repertoire /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot, sinon ca ne marche pas ! On le fait donc a la main avec la procédure que je viens de décrire
-efibootmgr : pour créer une entrée de boot, ou changer l'ordre de boot, j'ai pas mal bidouillé et j'ai l'impression que ca n'avait aucune incidence, tout est remis a zéro a chaque démarrage (actuellement la priorité est sur un vrai fichier windows mais c'est bien grub qui démarre !).
PENSEZ SURTOUT A FAIRE DES BACKUPS AVANT DE BIDOUILLER ! (faire une image du disque complet, créer la clef usb de réinstallation de windows)
J'espère avoir pu aider, je n'ai pas compris tout ce que j'ai fait, mais ca marche. Si je peux fournir d'autres informations pour aider a documenter le vaste problème de Boot avec EFI, n'hesitez pas à demander !

j'ai désactivé le secure boot mais ce n'est probablement pas nécessaire, je vais essayer de le réactiver.
Pourrais-tu prendre le temps d'essayer ? Je pense que ça risque de coincer quand tu vas vouloir démarrer en passant par l'entrée "Windows Boot Manager (UEFI on /dev/sda3)" du menu Grub. Je dis ça parce que de mémoire j'ai vu des cas où ça me marchait pas.
Par ailleurs, bravo pour ton post qui récapitule bien toute ton expérience.

Il semble qu'il y ait un paquet de modèles différents sous la désignation "Vaio Pro 13" : http://www.sony.fr/electronics/vaio/vai … ifications
Par exemple, chez Darty, on peut trouver le SVP1321S2EB : http://www.darty.com/nav/achat/informat … b_fr5.html

Pourrais-tu donner la référence précise en "SVP......" de ton ordi ? ça devrait figurer sur ta facture...ou alors tu peux essayer cette technique pour avoir l'info : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p11268521 (souvent, dans le champ "produit", on a le nom exact du modèle)

Bonjour,
Juste pour savoir si tu as fait la dernière mise à jour windows 8.1 et si OUI, as-tu encore GRUB (donc accès à Ubuntu) ?
Personnellement tout était fonctionnel et depuis cette mise à jour, plus rien, direct windows.
Quand je pense aux bidouilles pour trouver les fichiers à modifier dans cette foutue machine

Juste un petit message pour remercier Korak qui m'a bien aidé avec son post sur ce sujet. J'ai réussi à installer Ubuntu à côté de Windows 8.1 
Il me reste juste à retrouver l'écran de choix du système mais l'installation s'est bien déroulée. Heureusement qu'on a le live cd, c'est vraiment très pratique pour vérifier que tout est fonctionnel !

Ton PC démarre sous Windows ou sous Ubuntu (sans rien toucher au démarrage du PC)?

Oui je démarre des deux en théorie, sauf que Windows a cassé mon GRUB, donc j'essaye de le réparer. Avant ce problème j'ai fait plusieurs boots sur Ubuntu, avec le choix au départ, mais j'ai rebooté avec les màj d'Ubuntu...
Edit : problème résolu grâve à Simbad. Prochaine étape : mettre W8 en VM et virer l'installation pour ne laisser qu'Ubuntu !

Cela a marché une fois. J'ai effectivement eu le grub. J'ai pu rebooter en ubuntu. Ensuite j'ai rebooté en W 8.1. Cela a marché. J'ai rebooté puis je n'ai plus eu de grub..., que Windows. C'est comme si Windows réécrivant à chaque reprise le efi¨
Que faire ?

Mais ce n'est pas si simple. Je précise j'ai un VAIO Pro 13 Haswell - le laptop convertible en tablette avec stylet I core 7 et SSD 256gb
1) La version de Ubuntu est 14.04.
2) Boot repair n'existe encore pas pour cette version d'Ubuntu
3) grub existe bien - mais il est shunté
En effet lorsque je démarre en live et que je fais la manipulation de TotoTralala et que je reboote, je retrouve mon grub. Je peux rebooter en Ubuntu autant de fois que je veux, j'ai toujours mon grub.
Toutefois si je choisis une fois Windows 8.1( avec la dernière update - c'est elle qui me pose problème, car avant le double boot marchait!), je ne retrouve plus mon grub et c'est Windows qui revient à chaque fois! C'est comme si W8.1 shuntait (mettait un raccourci) quelque part.
Je précise que j'ai désactivé fastboot et toutes les options dans Windos, de façon à ce que quand j'éteint mon PC il devrait vraiment s'éteindre et ne pas hiberner.

Alors désolé, je ne sais pas. Boot Repair 13.10 a suffit pour moi (edit : la version du post #1, la simplifiée n'existait pas encore pour moi).

Bonjour.
La solution proposé par Tototralala au post #6 n'a pas fonctionné chez moi.
Edit : J'ai désactivé fastboot dans Windows 8. J'ai conservé le mode uefi et conservé le Secure Boot activé.
J'ai réussit a booté sur le grub
en faisant (dans une session live-usb) ceci :
sudo mount /dev/sda3 /mnt
cd /mnt/boot/efi/EFI/
sudo cp -r Microsoft_back/
sudo cp -f ubuntu/* Microsoft/Boot/
cp Microsoft/Boot/
sudo mv bootmgfw.efi bootmgfw.efi.old
sudo cp shimx64.efi bootmgfw.efi Puis on redémarre. J'ai le grub, les entrées Ubuntu et Windows. Je peux booté sur Ubuntu mais pas sur Windows. C'est là qu'on verra l'intérêt du fichier bootmgfw.efi.old.
J'ai démarré sur Ubuntu, puis edité le fichier /etc/grub.d/40_custom pour y rajouter l'entrée vers Windows 8.1 en rajoutant à la fin du fichier
sudo gedit /etc/grub.d/40_custommenuentry "Windows 8.1" {
set root='(hd0,gpt3)'
chainloader /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi.old
}
sudo update-grubEdit : Je me suis inspiré des lignes que l'on retrouve sur ce askubuntu
Et voilà.

J'ai moi aussi un vaio pro 13 ( pas la version qui se transforme en tablette, mais ca doit pas changer grand chose). j'ai windows 8,(j'ai pas fait la mise à jour vers 8.1) .
Je repousse l'installation d'ubuntu sur ma machine depuis que jel'ai.. car j'ai besoin demon ordi pour travailler (et que j'ai lu que c'etait pas hyper facile).
Concretement, au vu de vos essais,quel serait la methode/manip la plus fiable ?
J'ai deja pas mal bidouillé linux donc rien ne me fait peur, mais je n'ai plus trop le moyen de passer 2 nuits sur ce type de probleme .
win8 je sature... help
