probleme imprimante epson stylus d78

voir troisieme post

bonjour

voulant savoir conbien d'encre il me reste sur mon imprimante(epson stylus d78), j'ai installé escputil.
mais quand je lance la commande

sudo escputil -i -r /dev/usb/lp0

il me renvoi

Impossible d'ouvrir /dev/usb/lp0 en lecture/écriture : Périphérique ou ressource occupé

le chemin est bon, j'ai aussi rajouté mon user au groupe lp.
L'imprimante etait au repos.
Si quelqu'un a une commande miracle:D?
moi je ne sais plus quoi essayer

Essaye de voir avec mtink

sudo apt-get install mtink

merci pour ta reponse mais ca ne marche pas non plus, en fait je crois que le probleme est plus compliqué vu que mon imprimante ne répond plus du tout.
je croyait au debut que cela venai d'une cartouche qui était vide (que j'ai dailleur changé) mais en fait nan, elle ne répond plus a rien du tout (sans message d'esseur pour autant)

Il faut savoir qu'elle s'est arrété en plein milieu d'une impréssion, entre deux pages.
j'ai donc essayé de bidouiller la configuration de l'imprimante qui utilisai un pilote de d 68 au lieu de d78 mais qui marchait jusqu'a présent. sans succes.
je l'ai donc viré et ai essayé de la réinstaller en suivant ceci:

mais la je suis bloqué à la création du fichier ppd
il ne trouve pas

je ne l'ai dailleur trouvé nulle part
mais j'ai trouvé un paquet pips dans synaptic qui me donne ca dans les fichiers installés

bon j'ai reussi a configurer 
apres l'installation de quelques  -dev
je suis juste bloqué plus loin a la compilation
(ca doit etre la premiere fois que je fais ca donc désolé si jsuis pas doué)
