Atheros AR9285 toshiba F750c + connexion lente sur ubuntu 13.04
Bonjour j'ai ce type d'atheros :

J'ai fait un tour sur un peu tout le forum à la recherche d'une réponse j'ai essayé pas mal de choses mais j'ai toujours un ping :

received 0
packet loss 100 %
time 8055 ms

essaye cette commande :
echo "options ath9k nohwcrypt=1" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf
reboot et test si c'est mieux

Non toujours aussi lent.
Et j'ai essayé la solution proposée, installé le nouveau kernel 3.12 mais ça plante ? J'ai vu que ça permettait de faire marcher pas mal de carte atheros comme la mienne ce kernel. Des idées ?

pas d'idée en plus vu que tu est sur une borne en roaming et qui plus est utilise un chiffrement a probleme (du wpa1 et du wpa2.....purée merci les admins de ce réseau pour ne pas respecter les standards)....il faudrait tester sur un borne wifi perso

Eh ben je suis pas dans la merde. C'est un réseau d'université canadienne. On le capte partout sur le campus. Je le captais a 1.4Mo avec mon windows mais y avait que ca qui fonctionnait correctement. Vu que j'arrivais a me connecter sur Ubuntu j'ai effacé tout le disk. Je pensais pas que la connexion allait etre si lente.
Je pense que ca vient vraiment de l'atheros, j'avais fait un formatage win7 avant de passer a Ubuntu et la je n'avais aucune connexion. Le troubleshoot me disait que l'atheros ne fonctionnait pas correctement. UN problem de pilote que je n'arrivais pas a resoudre.

tu est pas plus dans la m.... que cela ! Il te suffit utiliser le pilote windows via ndiswrapper

Bon j'ai testé, j'ai pris le module graphique et le .inf de win xp pour atheros mais quand je blacklist l'ath9k pour basculer sur le ndiswrapper.
Ben rien... La connexion disparait. Quand je check les connexions, il me dit qu'elles n'existent plus. Bref le pilote ne marche pas. Je dois rater une étape mais j'ai pris les inf des pilotes. Je vois pas pourquoi ça ne fonctionne pas...

mettre le .inf ET le .sys dans un dossier nommé wifi, puis
cd wifi # la ou sont les 2 fichiers inf et sys
sudo ndiswrapper -i xxxxx.inf # c'est un petit i ; respecter les minuscules/majuscules dans le nom du fichier inf
sudo modprobe -r ath9k
sudo ndiswrapper -m
sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
echo "ndiswrapper"|sudo tee -a /etc/modules
echo "blacklist ath9k"|sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Si tu essaies de désactiver le bluetooth, est ce que c'est mieux ?
J'ai lu que sur les toshiba, le bluetooth et le wifi utilisent les mêmes bandes de fréquences et donc que les performances pouvaient chuter si on utilise les 2 ensembles...
