Problème de partitionnement
Bonjour
J'ai aujourd'hui un notebook HP avec Windows7. Je souhaite passer au monde libre sur mon prochain notebook qui sera un Lenovo Y510p(en gardant windows à cause de programmes que je possède et qui ne tournent que sous Windows).
Je voudrai dans une première étape installer Ubuntu sur le HP. Mon disque dur contient maintenant 3 partitions principales SYTEM 199MO NTFS, (C:) 683GO NTFS et RECOVERY (D:): 14GO NTFS.
Comme C: indique 72GO de libre, j'avais dans l'idée de réduire la taille de cette partition par l'outil fourni avec WIN7 pour créer une nouvelle partition pour Ubuntu mais j'ai comme résultat :
taille totale avant réduction 700GO (tiens c'est plus 683!)
espace de réduction disponible 141MO!
Et comment je fais moi pour installer Ubuntu à coté de Windows en Dual boot?

Bonjour
Ou sinon tu boot avec un live CD/USB, l'assistant d'installation détectera ton système Windows, et te proposera en conséquence d'installer Ubuntu à côté. En choisissant l'option, il te proposera d'ajuster la taille des partitions respectives à l'aide d'un curseur à déplacer.

Si tu n'es pas fixé sur la version, je te conseille Ubuntu 12.04.4 64 bits et tu peux te faire une liveUSB de cette version en suivant cette procédure : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p10730101

Cette version n'est pas stable, toujours en dévelloppement, pas finalisée ?

Cette version n'est pas stable, toujours en développement, pas finalisée ?
Je t'ai proposé Ubuntu 12.04.4 parce que cette version sera maintenue jusqu'en Avril 2017 (voir Versions d'Ubuntu activement soutenues) alors que la version 13.10 ne sera plus maintenue (plus mise à jour) après Juillet 2014. Installer cette dernière version qui sera obsolète dans 4 mois, cela me parait un peu idiot. Cela dit, c'est vrai que tu peux quand même installer Ubuntu 13.10 et faire une mise à niveau de 13.10 vers 14.04 cet été : il arrive qu'une mise à niveau se passe mal mais s'agissant de migrer de 13.10 vers 14.04, moi je suis plutôt confiant.

On y voit que ton disque C: de Windows (/dev/sda2 dans le Boot-Info) est occupé à 90 % aussi ça me parait difficile d'envisager l'installation sans une sévère cure d'amaigrissement de ce disque C. C'est normal que tu ne puisses pas réduire la taille de cette partition avec ce taux d'occupation de 90%.
Ou alors il faudrait réaliser des DVD de réinstallation de Windows (ton ordi doit déjà être équipé d'un logiciel permettant de réaliser cela, sinon on doit pouvoir trouver en téléchargement chez HP un tel logiciel), ce qui te permettrait de supprimer purement et simplement ta partition RECOVERY et récupérer ainsi les 16 Go de cette partition pour installer Ubuntu.
