ASUS UX302LG-C4027H dual-boot W8 + Ubuntu

Salut,

Donc voilà j'ai un un ASUS UX302-LG avec Windows 8 préinstaller et je voudrais rajouter Ubuntu en Dual Boot. J'avais déjà essayé de le faire et j'ai eu de nombreux problèmes. L'histoire s'étant fini par un retour de l'ordinateur au support asus suite à un problème de disque dur.
Je viens de récupérer l'ordinateur du support technique qui a changé le disque dur et je voudrais réessayer d'installer Ubuntu.
Mon problème est que je n'arrive pas à booter sur un live usb ubuntu :\.

Ce que j'ai fait pour l'instant:
J'ai essayer avec les version internationales 12.04 et 13.10 que j'ai téléchargé ici
J'ai créer les live usb avec le créateur de disque de démarrage d'ubuntu depuis un second laptop sur lequel ubuntu est déjà installer.
J'ai également désactiver le secure boot et le fast boot depuis l'interface de l'uefi.
Peut importe la version d'ubuntu, lorsque je boot sur le live usb j'obtiens l'écran suivant mais peut importe l'option que je choisi l'écran reste noir et rien ne se passe et je suis obligé de forcer l'extinction de l'ordinateur.

J'ai reduit la partition de Windows à 100 giga afin de d'installer ubuntu  et de créer une partition data sur l'espace restant (les 344giga non alloué)

Je voudrais donc réussir à installer le dual boot Ubuntu Windows 8 et vus que ça ne c'est pas super bien passé la première fois, je préfère demander de l'aide dès le début ^^

D'autre part, pourrais-tu rectifier ton titre : tu as écrit "UX303LG" alors que c'est "UX302LG" (le nom exact et complet du modèle est UX302LG-C4027H )
Si l'écran reste noir, je suppose que c'est parce que tu as dû oublier de désactiver Secure Boot .

Je ne sais pas si tu as fait le nécessaire mais suivant les précautions recommandées dans la doc, ce serait utile que tu aies une clé USB de réinstallation en config usine de ton Windows 8. L'as-tu faite ?

Salut, cet bien cet écran que je vois, désolé pour le lien mort. Le titre est rectifié
Le soucis c'est que j'ai bien désactivé le secure boot comme on peut le voir ici. J'ai également vérifié que les live usb fonctionnais bien en bootant dessus depuis un autre ordinateur qui n'est pas en uefi. Tout fonctionnait bien mais je tombais directement sur cet écran et non celui que l'on peut voir dans ton lien.
J'ai voulus créer la clé de réinstallation cependant pour un raison obscure je ne peu pas cocher l'option "copier la partition recovery sur le media de récupération" ce qui fait que la clé devient inutile si la partition recovery venait à être endomagée. Je vais essayer de faire une image du disque avec clonezilla.

Je up car je n'ai toujours pas reussi à résoudre mon problème

Lorsque j'ai voulus fait une image du disque avec clonezilla, je tombe tout d'abord sur cet  ecran  puis ensuite en fonction de l'option choisie j’obtiens soit le background de l'image précédente seule ou bien une console noir avec le défilement des choses qui s'installe jusque là rien d'anormale mais ensuite il m'affiche cet ecran ci ou il me demande un login et un password. J'ai cherché sur le net mais je n'ai rien pus trouvé.....
A savoir que sur mon autre ordinateur qui n'est pas en UEFI le live usb fonctionne correctement et je tombe sur cet ecran et en choisissant la première option, tout est normale et j’obtiens les écrans des différentes étapes de la création de l'image (je n'ai cependant pas tout effectué)

J'ai également essayé de booter sur les live USB d'ubuntu en activant l'option "Lauch CSM" dans le bios ce qui d'après ce que j'ai pus comprendre désactive le boot en uefi. Avec le live 12.04 j'obtiens cet ecran puis ensuite toujours un écran noir...
Durant l'écran noir, j'ai remarqué qu'il arrivait que j'ai un sons lorsque je pianoté les flèches directionnelles, j'ai comparais les sons en bootant sur mon second ordinateur qui n'est pas en UEFI et je suis presque sur que je suis sur cet ecran, j'ai donc tout en naviguant au sons et à l'aide de tab tenter d'appuyer sur Try Ubuntu mais toujours l'écran noir.

Le rétroéclairage fonctionne lorsque j’obtiens l'écran noir serais-t-il possible que le problème provienne d'un bug au niveau des pilotes graphique ou bien d'une sorte de conflit du fait que l'ordinateur possède deux cartes graphiques (celle de base d'intel et une geforce 730M)

Je te propose d'essayer sans installer la future version de Ubuntu (Trusty) qui va sortir officiellement dans un mois. Tu peux faire une liveUSB en suivant les indications du post #14 dans ce fil : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16094921
Si ça fonctionne, ne fais pas l'installation sur disque dur : poste ici pour dire comment ça se passe avant.

Bon je vais résumer tout ce que j'ai pus essayer pour l'instant et les différents résultats que j'ai obtenu en fonction des paramètres de l'UEFI est des versions d'Ubuntu en Live usb:

Fast boot : disable
Lauch CSM: disable
Secure boot control: disable
-> Ubuntu 12.04: J'obtiens cet ecran puis ensuite un écran noir rétroéclairé.
-> Ubuntu 13.10: La même chose avec en plus l'option "OEM install (for manufacturers)" au niveau de première écran, ensuite le même écran noir rétroéclairé.
-> Ubuntu 14.04: Pareil que pour la version 13.10

Lauch CSM: enable
Secure boot control: disable
-> Ubuntu 12.04: J'obtiens cet écran puis ensuite toujours le même écran noir rétroéclairé
-> Ubuntu 13.10: Impossible de booter sur le live usb sans UEFI (dans les options de boot, lorsque lauch CSM est enable, pour les autres versions d'ubuntu j'ai deux choix, le nom de la clé USB seul ou bien précédé de "UEFI:" comme on peut le voir ici. Pour la version 13.10, je n'ai que le choix précédé de "UEFI:"
-> Ubuntu 14.04: même chose que pour la version 12.04

J'ai ensuite essayer de booter en activant l'option "nomodeset":

Fast boot : disable
Lauch CSM: disable
Secure boot control: disable
nomodeset
-> Ubuntu 12.04: J'obtiens cet ecran, j'appuie sur "E" j'obtiens ensuite cet écran, je change "splash" par "nomodeset" puis j'appuie sur F10, ensuite j'ai un écran ou plein de texte défile (trop rapide pour lire, mais il semble que c'est juste le descriptif de chargement des paramètres). Après quoi j'arrive sur la session live mais ce n'est que un terminal, pas d'interface graphique comme on peut le voir ici
-> Ubuntu 13.10: Même manip que pour la version 12.04 mais j'obtiens toujours l'écran noir rétroéclairé.
-> Ubuntu 14.04: Toujours la même manip mais cet fois ci je tombe enfin sur le vrais bureau et le live USB à l'air de fonctionner correctement

Lauch CSM: enable
Secure boot control: disable
nomodeset
-> Ubuntu 12.04: J'obtiens cet écran, j'appuie sur une touche pour obtenir celui-ci puis ce menu. La je fait f6 pour obtenir ceci, je sélectionne nomodeset et choisi de booter en mode live. Après  un écran de chargement bien moche j'obtiens bien le bureau et tout à l'air de fonctionner.
-> Ubuntu 13.10: Toujours impossible de ne pas botter en EFI comme j'ai expliqué juste avant
-> Ubuntu 14.04: Même manip que pour la version 12.04, le live usb fonctione.

Il faut que tu installes Ubuntu en mode EFI puisque Windows 8 est préinstallé dans ce mode EFI. Donc tes manips avec "Lauch CSM: enable" sont à écarter à mon opinion. Du coup, il reste que ce choix :

-> Ubuntu 14.04: Toujours la même manip mais cet fois ci je tombe enfin sur le vrais bureau et le live USB à l'air de fonctionner correctement

Je te suggère d'attendre la sortie officielle de Ubuntu 14.04 (prévue pour fin Avril 2014) pour faire l'installation dans cette config (Lauch CSM: disable et option "nomodeset" activée). Après installation, il faudra que tu ajoutes l'option nomodeset provisoirement (en appuyant sur la touche E) puis il conviendra de mettre en pratique les solutions pour Optimus. Ce n'est pas moi qui pourrai t'aider dans cette phase car je n'y connais rien : tu pourras demander de l'aide dans la rubrique spécialisée du forum "Affichage et cartes graphiques"

Salut, tout d'abord merci de ton aide Et j'aurais encore quelques questions ^^

1 moi cela fait quand même un peu long... est ce que tu pense qu'il est possible d'installer la version 12.04 avec le CSM enable quitte à devoir passer par le bios à chaque fois que je devrais switcher d'OS (d'ailleurs j'arrive à booter sur Windows 8 avec le lauch CSM activé). Ou bien de corriger le bug graphique car lorsque je boot en UEFI avec l'option nomodeset sur la version 12.04 le live session fonctionne mais sans interface graphique.

Je me pose ces question car voici "l'historique" de l'ordinateur:
-Après l'avoir acheter, la première fois que j'ai essayer, les live usb avec les version 12.04, 13.04 et 13.10 fonctionnaient correctement (il suffisait seulement de désactiver le secure boot)
-Ensuite j'ai tenté d'installer Ubuntu en dual boot, ce fut la grosse galère et à la fin je n'arriver plus a booter sur ubuntu  que j'avais installer ou sur windows 8
-J'avais donc decidé de formater complètement l'ordinateur via un live usb et d'installer uniquement Ubuntu sur l'ordinateur mais à la suite du formatage durant l'instalation j'avais une erreur et le disque dur faisais des bruits inquiétant de frottement et de cliquetis.
-J'ai donc renvoyé l'ordinateur au support et ils ont remplacé le disque dur et restauré la version d'usine (avec windows 8 préinstallé)

=> Je trouve donc ça bizard que après l'achat du PC les live usb fonctionnaient mais que au retour du de l'envoie au support ou normalement il a était restauré avec les paramètres d'usine ce n'est pas le cas ?

Peut-être que la version du "Bios" n'est pas la même que celle d'avant l'envoi au support.

EDIT : Avant de te lancer dans des manips qui pourraient devenir dangereuses, tu devrais reprendre ta tentative de créer un support live ce Clonezilla en téléchargeant la plus récente version dispo qui est 20140324-trusty dans cette page
La problématique, c'est que l'outil Clonezilla a lui-même des difficultés pour gérer ton ordi ultra-moderne, c'est pourquoi il faut utiliser cette version toute récente de Clonezilla en espérant qu'elle va convenir. Il n'y a pas longtemps, j'ai pu faire une liveUSB Clonezilla avec la version la plus fraîche de l'époque en utilisant LiLi : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16113621
Je te suggère d'essayer.

Il est claire que vus ma première expérience qui m'a obligé à renvoyer l'ordinateur au support je ne vais pas commencer à essayer d'installer ubuntu sans être sur d'avoir un moyen de revenir en arrière. Windows m'empêche de copier la partition recovery lorsque je veut créer un média de récupération et je n'ai toujours pas trouvé un moyen de débloqué l'option...
Quand à clonezilla j'ai essayé avec la version basé sur trusty:
Lauch CSM: disable
-> J'obtiens cet écran puis celui la pour enfin tomber sur ça (l'image est un peu flou mais en gros il me demande un "trusty login" est le password
Lauch CSM: enable
-> Même chose que pour disable à la différence que le première écran est celui-ci

Je n'ai pas reussi à trouver mais il y aurait-il un moyen d'activer l'option nomodeset pour boot car si j'ai bien compris clonezilla est basé sur ubuntu ?

J'ai remarque une chose étrange également avec le bios, lorsque j'enable le lauch CSM et que un live usb est branché, il ne me detecte pas à tout les coups l'option de boot avec le nom de la clé sans UEFI, je doit à chaque fois recommencer plusieurs fois l'opération (disable lauch csm, rebooté le pc, activé lauch csm, rebooté le pc, branché la clé usb puis rebooté) jusqu'à ce qu'il veuille bien me faire apparaître l'option. Pas très normal non ?

C'est ce passage :

L'utilisation de KMS “kernel mode-setting” est désactivé (option “nomodeset”) lorsque le mode graphique “safe” est sélectionné pour contourner les problèmes éventuels lié à KMS avec certaines cartes graphiques.

Sauf erreur, il faudrait donc sélectionner la ligne "Clonezilla live (Failsafe mode)" quand tu vois cet écran (c'est celui que tu as collé dans ton post #10)

J'avais déjà testé tout les choix possible de cet écrans et je refais un test en "Failsafe mode". Que le lauch CSM soit disable ou enable cela ne marche pas (cf. post#10 pour savoir ce qu'il ce passe).
N'ayant rien à perdre, je me suis dit que j'allais tester toutes les version de clonezilla disponible ici. Je ne sais pas pourquoi je n'y est pas pensé plus tôt car la version "stable releases - 2.2.1-25" basée sur debian fonctionne (je boot dessus en activant le lauch CSM mais en choisissant l'option avec UEFI devant le nom de la clé, lorsque je desactive le lauch CSM cela ne marche pas et je suis en failsafe mode).

EDIT: Je viens de reussir à lancer clonezilla avec le lauch CSM disable et sans avoir à être en "Failsafe mode". Je vais donc refaire une image du disque

Lors de la création de l'image, j'ai choisie l'option "vérifier l'image après la création", est ce que cela est suffisant pour être sur à 100% que je pourrais utiliser l'image créer pour restaurer mon ordinateur ou bien y a t il d'autres tests que je pourrais effectuer ?

Maintenant que j'ai pus créer une image disque je peu commencer à tenter d'installer Ubuntu, quitte à faire une restauration après chaque tentative si elle s'avère être un échec, par quoi me conseille tu de commencer ?

Je te confirme ce que j'ai écrit là , à savoir : "on peut faire une image depuis Clonezilla démarré en mode Bios et restaurer cette image depuis Clonezilla démarré en mode EFI. Moi, je restaure toujours systématiquement et séance tenante l'image que je viens de créer et je n'utilise jamais "vérifier l'image après la création" donc je ne connais pas la fiabilité de cette vérif. Par contre, comme je restaure toujours mes images, j'ai confiance dans Clonezilla : je ne suis pas en train de me gratter pour me demander si une image est bonne ou pas : l'image que je conserve et que je stocke, je suis certain qu'elle est bonne.

Maintenant que j'ai pus créer une image disque je peu commencer à tenter d'installer Ubuntu, quitte à faire une restauration après chaque tentative si elle s'avère être un échec, par quoi me conseille tu de commencer ?

Je te suggère de faire un Boot-Info (pour faire une sorte d'état des lieux avant les travaux) mais il faudra que tu mettes en pratique cette astuce puisque tu vas procéder depuis une session live de Ubuntu 14.04

Comme je l'ai dit dans le post précédant, j'ai refait une image de mon disque dur avec clonezilla (en mode UEFI, lauch CSM disable, sans être en failsafe mode). Cette fois ci, j'ai créer deux image, une du disque dur principale et une autre du cache SSD de 16GB.

Il parait bien ton Boot-Info. Et tu sembles prêt à installer. Vas-tu adopter une Partition de partage de données avec Windows en NTFS ou bien tu as un autre projet ?

Oui, pour l'instant Windows est sur une partition de 100GB et j'ai une partition non alloué de 344GB sur laquelle je voudrais installer Ubuntu sur une partition de 50GB et créer une partition de partage de données avec les 300 restants.

Donc voilà, moi aussi j'ai acheté cet ASSU UX302LG et j'ai toutes les misères du monde pour le faire fonctionner.
J'ai attendu patiemment la sortie de la 14.04 en me disant que ça allait rouler tout seul... Naïf j'étais...

Pour ma part, j'ai fais pas mal de tentatives d'installation, en modifiant l'option "splash" pour "nomodeset", ça finit par démarrer.

Par contre, ma grosse galère, c'est pour installer mon SSD Crucial M500 à la place du 750Go d'origine...
Lorsque je me rends sur l'espèce de BIOS, le disque est bien reconnu (la partition -le Ubuntu 13.10 de mon précédent laptop- est listée dans les choix de boot). Ensuite lorsque l'install démarre, Ubuntu ne 'voit' plus ce disque. Il me propose juste de s'installer sur le cache SSD de 16Go O_o... J'ai d'ailleurs tenté l'installer sur ce petit disque pour voir, ça marche très bien ;-) Mais mon M500 n'apparait nul part... C'est comme si il n'existait pas...

Une idée ?

Oui, l'option "nomodeset" est indispensable pour arriver à démarrer en session live sur ce modèle d'ordi. On le voit dans le Boot-Info du post #14, dans la partie "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" (nomodeset apparaît en fin de ligne):

Salut ! Je me permet de relancer la discussion car vus que Trusty est sortis (je suis un peu en retard je sais) je me relance dans le prériple de la mise en place d'un dual boot sur mon asus UX302LG.
Donc depuis la dernière fois je suis passé à windows 8.1, je ne sais pas si cela change quelque chose. Pour paéparer l'install j'ai d'abord refais deux image disques depuis une session live de clonzilla basée sur debian (une du disque dur est une du cache SSD) au cas ou les choses tournerais mal. Ensuite à l'aide de gParted depuis une session live de trusty, j'ai créer une partion /swap de 4 Go en ext4, une partion racine / de 50 go en ext4 et une partition /media en ntfs qui prend le reste de la place disponible soit environ 290 go.
On peut voir un screen de gParted avant et après que la creation des nouvelles partitions.

J'y vois que tu as donné des Label merdiques :
pour sda7 : label "/swap"
pour sda8 : label "/"
pour sda9 : label "/media"
Ces labels ne vont pas : il ne faut pas mettre le caractère "/" dans un label. Je te suggère de modifier ces labels depuis Gparted pour qu'ils deviennent :
pour sda7 : label "swap"
pour sda8 : label "racine"
pour sda9 : label "stockage" (si tu adoptais "media", tu te retrouverais avec un point de montage /media/media alors que là, le point de montage sera /media/stockage ce qui est plus approprié)

Donc j'ai changé les labels comme tu l'a indiqué et j'ai également formaté la partition swap qui était en ext4 au format linux-swap.

Je fait un petit retour, l'installation c'est bien passée, le menu grub me permet bien de choisir entre ubuntu et w8. Pour l'instant pour utiliser Ubuntu il faut activer l'option nomodeset.

Je souhaiterais ajouter le UX302LG-C4027H dans la Liste des portables « Asus » ; pourrais-tu faire un Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé sur disque dur ? Pour ce faire, je te propose d'utiliser cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381
Ce Boot-Info pourra servir d'exemple d'installation pour ceux qui ont le même modèle que toi.

Pour virer le nomodeset, j'ai dû passer en kernel 3.15RC3 que j'ai trouvé là : http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/ma … c3-utopic/
(il faut installer le kernel et les headers).
Ensuite tu fais édites le fichier de conf de Grub
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
Tu modifies la ligne suivante en ajoutant "acpi_osi="  ça permet au bouton Fn (genre luminosité) de fonctionner correctement
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi="
Enfin, tu updates Grub :
sudo update-grub

Ensuite au démarrage, ça devrait partir direct sur 3.15rc3. Si c'est pas le cas, tu peux choisir le noyau en choisissant l'option "avancée" de Ubuntu au démarrage.

Sous 3.15, tout marche mieux (carte graphique correctement reconnue, mise en veille nickel...) seul truc qui marche plus, c'est VirtualBox (j'ai cru comprendre qu'un driver spécifique n'a pas encore été recompilé pour ce noyau) mais du coup j'ai découvert Machines (Gnome-Boxes) qui fait pas trop mal le job...

Le boot info est là, à savoir que je n'ai pas encore reussi à régler le problème de nvidia optimus ce qui fait pour pour le moment les deux cartes graphiques sont allumées tout le temps donc niveau autonomie et température c'est vraiment pas çà. Je passe sur la section affichage et cartes graphique pour ce problème. Je posterais une solution ici quand j'en aurais trouvée une au cas ou d'autre personne en aurais besoin. Merci pour ton aide malbo !
